I have been going to Excel Auto Body & Paint on several occasions and have recommended friends to them for their excellent customer service and quality of their work. Today I have the misfortune of writing this because they majorly dropped the ball. I was expecting my truck to be repaired, out of pocket mind you. After about a few days or so going back and forth and getting an estimate, I was okay with going forward with the repairs. From the time of April 26-June 6, I heard nothing from them! When to bring in my truck, or if they needed a down payment to order parts. I went out of my way to correspond with them by email, phone, or showing up to their place of business. I was getting the run around with them, and the reply by Andy who works there. His answer would be; let me get back to you, and I would here nothing. I placed a phone call to speak with the manager and/or owner, but to no avail, but my message would be relayed to them to call me back! Nothing!!!! I called today, finally got to talked to someone who was in charge (Lucy) and the same thing. I felt like I was getting the run around and ended up talking to Andy again. This was coming from the manager or owner who I said that I was calling to make a complaint. After speaking with Andy again, I told him how I was displeased and disappointed, after all these years of going to their place of business. He wanted to rectify the situation and get my credit card information and start ordering parts! I said no that will not be happening now, and that you have lost my business with Excel going forward. This really is unfair and unfortunately not very good on their part? You can't get good customer service anymore or anywhere. Sad. Just sad.Jess

My car was vandalized and required paint in the entire driver side. The office staff was pretty short with me when I was trying to navigate the process but I was willing to overlook that if the repairs were done well. After them having my truck for ten days to paint four panels, they acted like they wanted to keep it longer and my husband had to call and demand that it be completed on time. We were paying out of pocket for a comparable rental and had already far surpassed the amount we normally pay for our car payment each month. Magically, the car was suddenly able to be finished on time. When I picked it up it looked fine. I didn't notice any issues with the paint. I did however find some loose parts in my trunk which annoyed me (small gaskets and such). Then I noticed that my wiper fluid alert came on when I started the car. I found this very odd as I had actually filled the wiper fluid reservoir the night before dropping my vehicle off at excel. I figured maybe they emptied it to prevent me from using the wiper fluid and accidentally messing up the new paint. No biggie. I bought another jug of wiper fluid and filled it up. The next morning I came out to my garage and found a puddle of wiper fluid under my car and the alert came on again. I realized that they might have punctured my wiper fluid reservoir when taking panels off the car so I emailed them to start the process of getting this issue remedied. I was really mad because I was about to give birth and couldn't have my car unavailable to me and it was just another hassle I didn't want to deal with after my car being in the shop for ten days. The initial response was "we never touched your wiper fluid reservoir. Not our problem". When I pressed them they said "maybe it got disconnected but we weren't even near it". That made it obvious to me they don't even know anything about my car because they had to have touched it to remove the front fender. Eventually they agreed for me to bring it in and see if something was done wrong by them. My husband took it in and they claimed it was disconnected but they couldn't fix it that day and we had to bring it back and leave it. He told them we would bring it after I gave birth. We never ended up taking it back in because I sold it. All in all they are severely lacking when it comes to customer service and just general pleasantness and honesty/taking responsibility. The work seemed ok but like I said they caused other issues that brought me stress and would have cost me money if I needed to get a rental car, etc. I wouldn't recommend this shop and I certainly won't go back if I ever need work done. Sadly they were recommended by my insurance which is really concerning.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here people are very rude I dropped my car off they said it was a 2 week job and turned into a month job.They don’t not care for there customers they only work on there time when they feel like it.Service: Body & Trim

Absolutely the worst place to bring your car to. Inconsiderate of my time and I had to bring my car to them twice and still didn't get everything working like it was before the accident. They also did not do a complimentary detail like Advanced Auto body does. They are unethical and untrustworthy. I will never go here for anything else.

For what they charged, the work was substandard and I still have issues with the car. They have been taking a really long time to resolve the issue and it basically feels like they are brushing us off now. The car is overheating from a part they installed and failed.Services: Painting

took them 3 and 1/2 months to do what they said was a 2 week fix. Very hostile customer service, and they lost my license plate. I hope they go out of business.

This business does not even deserve a star. Please do not consider having your car fixed by this fraudulent body shop. They work really well with insurance companies to place parts that don’t belong to your car. Once my engine light came one they gave me the runaround and don’t want to deal with it..so I’m in the process of complaining to the California Department of Insurance plus hiring a lawyer. I hope this review saves a lot of cars out there!
