Coast Range is the best gym in town! The owner is so knowledgeable, personable and the programming is fantastic for a well rounded workout every day. It’s a wonderful community to be a part of within Gilroy and the CrossFit world.

Everything about this place is top notch, not to mention incredibly welcoming to newbies or drop-ins or just anyone who steps inside. Wes (owner and coach) is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and just as passionate about improving people’s lives; his kindness and positivity is exactly what the world needs today. Love it here!

CRCF is home of some of the most kind, helpful, FUN, encouraging, knowledgeable and HARD working group of coaches and members on the planet. CRCF has literally changed my life. I am a better person mentally and physically every time I walk out of this gym. I love this place.

From March 2019 to March 2020 (when COVID shut everything down) I was a member at Coast Range CrossFit. In my almost 15years of adulthood I had failed to stick to every exercise program or gym membership I had. I was given an opportunity to get a membership at CRCF in exchange for working hours in the daycare room they had. I had been curious about CrossFit, so eagerly signed up.I started from 0. Three months postpartum and knowing nothing about the CF world. The coaches were always patient and incredibly helpful at scaling things to my ability. I quickly fell in love (drank the CrossFit cool aid). I felt fitter and stronger than at any other point in my adult life. Of course COVID-19 put an end to that. And then I had another baby and moved cross country!Recently I finally joined a local CrossFit gym and opted to do the intro classes as a refresher since it had been 2+ years. The owner of the gym did the classes with me and went over all the common movements. He said several times, "whoever taught you did a great job, you have great form!"So to Wes, and all the other coaches at Coast Range, Thank You!

tldr; No matter your fitness level or age, you will fit in here. Bonus points if you like dad joke because they are written randomly in the gym.As of March 2022, it will be my 6 months being at Coast Range Cross Fit, so I figure its a good amount of time to give a review of this Box. I'm the type of person that used to register for run event once or twice a month. I like to keep busy with adult Dodgeball, Hiking, Spartan Race, and occasional drinking kickball league. I was apart of another box in San Jose for 8 years until the COVID19 shutdown and my move to Gilroy. After not doing anything for close to a year and half, it was time to try and get back into shape. Thought about buying weights for a home gym, but lets be honest, I'm not that motivated when I'm by myself and the wife would be mad with all the weights slamming on the floor. So looked up the local yelp and google review for all the Crossfit Gym in Gilroy. I would like to say that I did extensive research but that would be a lie. The 2 reason that brought me to Coast Range Cross Fit was that they had the most recent review/Facebook post and it was the closes to my house. I figure I could do a warm up run to the gym. (that hasn't happen yet because I didn't account for Gilroy being either too hot in the summer and weirdly freezing in winter) =)First day of regular class, coach Mari notice I was new, introduce herself and asked if I had any injury they need to work around. In fact, any classes that you attended, the coaches will learn your name the first time and asked about you to adjust the workout if needed. The members are really nice and encouraging. The best way I can describe everything about this gym/box is think of it like a child. You know how sometimes you meet a child that is so well behave and you know the parents raised them right? That's sort of how I feel here. One time, I remember the water machine was getting repair. A fellow member brought in bottle water. Gesture like this you will see all the time because everyone, not just the owner, wants to make this place better. Speaking of Wes, one thing that I always remember him saying is that he wants to someday leave this gym to his daughter. As you can see, this isn't some random corporate run gym. So give this box/gym a chance and invest in yourself.
