This bank is not good. The app is confusing to use, and I have only bad interactions. My mom was sent checks by BMO for my grandmother’s trust. I received a check, for Christmas, with no serial number. When I visited this location, I waited for 40 minutes while the workers tried to figure out how to deposit the check. Ultimately, they said they would not take the check because of its missing serial number, and sent me home without any further information. BMO sends you checks that their tellers cannot deposit. A total waste of my time.

Juan Valdivia Sandoval at the Gilroy Branch of Bank of The West is an extremely personable, and helpful customer service professional who helped Me and my Wife with a difficult and scary issue involving a scam artist who represented himself as Oscar, working with Microsoft Defender to insure that my computer hadn't been infected with a virus, and my bank accounts hadn't been compromised when I was "Hacked". It turned out that Oscar was the hacker. Fortunately, I got wise to the scam before it went too far, but Oscar did get some information, and we had to make some password changes and shut down "on line banking" temporarily. Mr Sandoval was very helpful, and helped us do what was necessary to protect our accounts.

Juan Sandoval took care of my banking problem today. I wish all employees were as professional as this guy. Kudos to Bank of the West for hiring this stellar employee.

Got amazing service from Juan Valdivia Sandoval today. Needed help unblocking a credit card, making this my second visit for the same issue but the service was wonderful. He was very quick to act on the issue and supportive of my situation. I came into the bank frustrated and concerned and only five minutes in Juan was able to assist me. He was very humorous and good-natured, something I don't often see in bank employees, which made a positive environment for me. He really understood my worries and was passionate about helping me out and making sure my frustrations were put to rest. You could tell he is very experienced and knowledgeable as he was able to answer all of my questions with an abundance of information. Definitely left the bank feeling secure and less stressed.

Went to cash a check from a customer of mine and the teller not only takes twenty minutes to process this check but then tells me she has to call check holder because he put 2022 on the check what's the difference the check doesn't say expires in a certain time and everybody does that after the new year so after two failed attempts calling this guy tells me sorry I couldn't get a hold of him wasted 23 minutes for this ! This bank sucks balls and needs a real manager to wake up and handle business like a real person , This bank sucks !!!

Worst bank ever. Banked there for 33 years. Over the last couple years everything has become a hassle charging fees for every little thing. Payed over 300 dollars in fees in just the last couple months when a free checking was promised and was not given. On top of that closing my accounts was a big hassle and was charged another 100 dollars just weeks of me closing accounts. Do not recommend
