Hope Merrill House is a travel back in time to the late 1800's in this historic Victorian home with a beautiful garden and a pool in the backyard. We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed our lively conversation with our fellow guests and especially with the Merrill House owners and hosts.

Adorable historic hotel with seated breakfast, lovely lounge, and outdoor garden. Unfortunately the pool was drained and the bed was pretty uncomfortable, but the bathtub was amazing, and overall experience is worth it!

This is an exquisite B&B experience. The house is meticulous and gorgeously appointed with very comfortable bedrooms and palatial baths. The living spaces are friendly and functional. There is a handsome swimming pool, a restful gazebo and patio, and even a vineyard. The breakfasts are sumptuous. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Steps from quaint downtown Geyserville and a short drive from all sizes of winery and towns. A delightful sojourn

This was without question one of THE best vacations I've ever had, in large part due to Cosette and Ron being the totally attentive hosts that they are. The expertly renovated and detailed Victorian home was extremely welcoming and warm to stay at for the four nights I was there. The morning breakfast was, to say the least, a totally enjoyable experience, with all the home made goodies being offered. Without a doubt, it sets you up for a day of driving through the country side and wine tasting.
But above and beyond the care provided by the Cosette and Ron is the wealth of knowledge they impart each morning before you leave the breakfast table. These folks are steeped in the wine country and will give you information that will point you in the right direction each day. So, without reservation, Hope-Merrill House is THE place to stay to have access to the best that the Russian River Valley has to offer. Go there and enjoy!

Found this place by coincidence on Hotel Tonight, but so glad that I did! This is THE archetypical bed and breakfast - floral print everything, abundant doilies, a friendly hostess, and a good meal.
Cosette is the best! Hope I can make it back some time.

Perfect! My boyfriend & I stayed at this B&B for Valentine's Day weekend & I couldn't be happier with how it went. The house is over 100 years old so I was worried about it being dusty, and a bit rundown but it wasn't at all! I'm actually amazed by how well-kept it is- you definitely feel that antique/traditional vibe but still get the modern day amenities & cleanliness. Oh, & they make your bed & leave a little chocolate on it each day- perfect to come home to after a long day of walking & wine tasting! Breakfast was amazing both mornings- & I'm pretty picky about what I like. I love how the house owner was able to give us recommendations on wineries- she knows that area like the back of her hand! And last but not least, location! You could not possibly get a better location. The house is walking distance from several tasting rooms & two absolutely delicious little restaurants (Diavola's pizza is a MUST). Overall, I don't have one single negative thing to say about this B&B, it would be silly to stay anywhere else in Geyserville.

My daughter recently treated me to a bed and breakfast stay-over here for my 60th birthday, quite nice. We were impressed with the attention to detail in the rooms. We were highly impressed with the personal touch from one of the owners, Cosette. She not only had a delicious breakfast for us both mornings (everything you might want for breakfast), but also sat down with everyone, while we drank coffee or tea at the table, and gave us pertinent information on the local community, the culture and a free passport to local wineries. She and her husband Ron are also amateur wine makers and provided a free bottle of their own Merlot, quite delicious. I have never experienced someone taking the time to personally fill-in the guests on what is going on locally. My daughter and I would highly recommend staying here.
