“I was looking for a shop to get my girlfriend's old Volvo that I'm restoring aligned and spoke to Carlos over the phone and was immediately impressed by his knowledge and expertise. I stopped by at the appointment time and they were ready for me immediately. He put the car on the lift and gave me a list of things that were wrong with the front suspension. I'm a diy car guy so I came back after following Carlos' advice and they aligned it using the computer and then he did some final tweaks by hand. I got in the car and was blown away by how perfect the car drives now. My girlfriend's 35 year old car drives as straight as a new car. I've never had such a perfect alignment anywhere and the value can't be beat. Finding knowledgeable, friendly and honest mechanics is basically impossible these days so finding a shop like el tapatio is definitely a breath of fresh air. I will be back for sure. “Got my tire punctured by a nail on 405, I called dropped in, was in and out in 30 minutes Great service.
They gave me an option to either patch it or change it to completely new tire. I decided to patch, later I found that some of the shops don’t even offer that option because it doesn’t make enough money. The cost was only $20. It was really great service. Highly recommend.”

“I just moved to L.A., the big bad city, where a hayseed like me could get walked all over.I’v got a big RV. I had an almost-flat and I thought I needed a new tire, which is over 500 bucks at Walmart. Pete's could have easily sold me a tire and I wouldn't have known any better. But it turned out that the problem was minor, they fixed it and just asked that I buy from them in the future, which I certainly will as well as recommending them to anyone that needs RV tire work, which is not easy to find. You need a special Jack and most tire places don't have them.I could barely drive on the tire and would have been stuck until the next day. Sarah Moanes at the Gardena store was my contact and she was able to fit me in before the end of the day. She was great - professional, knowledgeable and very nice. So was every tech guy I dealt with.So unexpectedly, my first business experience in the wicked city was really nice. I thank them sincerely and obviously recommend them highly to anyone looking for RV tire service.”

“They were really nice despite having to wait 3.5 hours for an oil chg with an appt. Apparently they ran out of oil filters. It’s my first time using them. They rotate your tires as well. After I left, pretty much immediately my low tire pressure light came on. I didn’t see any nails and I knew they were prob just about ready to close.
Took my car up to my normal mail tire place the next day and one of the tires was alittle low.
I would prob use them again. I think based on the situation they prob were rushing too since I got my car done around their closing time.
They stayed professional and gave me a discount coupon to come back due to the LONG 3.5 hours of me being there”

“I had a tire pop while on the highway and the rim damaged the inside of the tire. They were very kind as to show me the damage and explain to me why it could not me repaired. I had to buy a new tire. At first they offered me a used one but I let them now I commute a total of 2 hours every day and so they then told be that they didn’t think they had a new tire the same size as mine and were ready to send me to another place. I believe speaks wonders of their character but they ended up finding one the same size and gave me a good deal on a brand new tire. I was out of there within 15- 20 minutes. Would definitely come back again when needed.”

“I was looking for a local wheel shop to rebuild and polish a set of 3-piece wheels that I bought. Not a lot of places that will do this without charging an arm and a leg. A friend of mine referred me to this place so I stopped by. The wheels I had needed to have the faces re-polished and have the barrels and lips assembled. The faces were in pretty rough shape and one of the barrels had a crack and needed to be welded. The price was right and the work was good. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well my wheels came out! Great customer service and no hassle. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I would've liked a cleaner weld job on the inner barrel, but it's not visible to anyone but me when I lift up the car to work on it. I still would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for wheel repair or a custom polish or refinishing job.”
“Saturday morning. Came in for a slow leak. My guy carefully jacked up the car and removed the tire. Checked for the leak in the water tank and found bubbles and a nail! He removed the tire from the rim, prepped the area around the hole with a grinder, and applied the patch. After it cured, he mounted the tire, and filled it with air. No damage to my rim. 15 minutes out the door. It's been a week with regular driving and the tire is holding psi. Very happy.”

“Had a great experience here on Sunday morning. I was on my way to the Saints Chargers game and we hit a nail and had a flat tire. We were in a huge rush and after leaving another tire shop for having a 45 minute wait Rameses was able to get me in and out in 15 minutes and it was cheap. I met the owners son and he had the best customer service and actually topped off the air in all my tires himself. Will def come here anytime I'm in the area. Thanks Fam. WHO DAT!”
“Lots of negative reviews but gave it a shot anyway. I have a lifetime alignment service and they centered the steering wheel and performed a slight alignment that was needed as well. In and out in two hours.”
