“Finally a community thrift store ACTUALLY helping the community. Love the staff here and the opportunities given to those with employment challenges in a positive and nurturing way. I’ll only take my donations here and love to peak at the revolving inventory.”

“Conveniently located right off the fly in a small strip mall next door to a Ross dress for less dtore, with tons of parking all around. The donation area is around back with a ramp leading up to inside. Also there's a bin located right at the end to drop off ur donations. Pretty decent size as well, fully stocked.”

“Moved into a new location 3318 W Jefferson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90018, lots of signage and lettering. They aren't finished setting up everything yet but still lots of stuff to check out.”

“Walking through the crowded aisles is like walking through that warehouse at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Whether or not you are looking for something in particular, you will find something here... Actually you will find many "somethings" as this place is a cornucopia of interesting items. Mid-century modern furniture seems to be in abundance, but turn of the century cuckoo clocks, lamps, and pretty much anything else you can imagine are yours to find; Just make sure you have a few hours to actually go through the isles, this is not a place for a cursory review. Staff is great. As for value... what is the value of a treasure?”

“I love shopping and donating here! Their proceeds support women’s organizations and the shop is run by mother and daughter duos. Everyone is super friendly and on the first Saturday they have 50% off everything! Today I got 5 pieces of clothing, a crystal dish, and a large painting for $28.”

“I don't know why I have not shopped here more often. This is probably the cleanest thrift store I've personally ever been in, right down to the fact that it doesn't even "smell" like a thrift store. They do not accept clothes that smell, and they may wash garments before putting them on the rack. Sure enough, all of my new-to-me blouses smell like they've been laundered. And, of course, great prices for lightly used clothing--much of it name-brand. Also, the staff is the BEST! Super friendly, and they will ask you if you need any help. Indeed, all the staff were engaged in conversations with customers and they all looked happy to be there. When I happened to mention to one of them that I was shopping for clothes for a new job, she was curious enough to ask me where, and we had a nice chat. I'm not much of a shopper but I will make sure to go back to the Assistance League whenever I need more clothing.”

“Like most surplus stores, most of the stock here is new manufacture chinese junk. However, there's still a handful of actual milsurp, mostly USGI stuff, and the prices are pretty reasonable.”

“I really like this thrift store. I have been there twice now, about 6 months apart, and have had a great experience each time. As mentioned there are 2 levels, clothing upstairs and household stuff downstairs. The staff are really nice. I mainly go for clothes, but was eyeballing some furniture today, which they had a decent amount. The clothing sizes have been kept in order on the racks for the most part, making it easy to find my size. I have found great stuff each time I have gone, from a nice rain coat, dirt cheap, to a very nice complete dress suit setup and a couple of tshirts for dirt cheap.I'm not sure what the people with negative reviews are expecting. This is a thrift store after all, not Santa Monica Place or Fig At 7Th. But you are going to have issues with people every now and then wherever you go.”

“I recently purchased a patio set from Habitat for Humanity which I saw posted on their FB page. I immediately ran over, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Not only did they help me find a great deal on the set, but they also went above and beyond by assisting me in loading it into my car. They had some cute furniture pieces. Their customer service truly made my shopping experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Habitat for Humanity for their excellent service and quality products.”

“Great way to clean out your closets for some$ and do good for the people in Costa Rica. Owner was very friendly and process took no time at all. Forklift driver was a hoot! Nice guy! Overall good experience.”

“Cool lil spot to do some thrifting! It's a cozy and welcoming location to explore and find cool pieces! I have found some awesome pieces for a great price (such as genuine denim jeans for less than $10!!). I will say though *some* items, not all, can be overpriced considering the wear and tear, overall design, and "age" of the item (I guess vintage will always be upped in price anywhere lol so no biggie), regardless they still have other awesome and affordable selection :-) CANT FORGET ABOUT THE ONE AND ONLY SUNDAY! Sunday is so cute, she definitely lifts the ambiance with her presence! I love how she lets you know when she's had enough petting Awesome place to visit for sure!”

“The good:I found a coffee table here that I'm now using for my courtyard. It's definitely cheaper than what I would've paid if I bought it new or even on fb marketplace. This is a smaller goodwill. It's organized and well kept. More than half the store is for clothes. The bad:The coffee table was missing a metal spoke in the back. The cashier said she'd ask the manager for a discount but the manager said no. Outside of the coffee table, I didn't see many interesting home goods. I'm usually most interested in the plates, pots and vases section but there weren't a lot of great options here. There were very few toys. The interesting:I grew up shopping at goodwill with my dad. Today, I still have a raggedy Ann doll with backwards legs that my dad got for me from goodwill.”

“This store always has great finds! I don't think I've ever come in and left empty handed. I appreciate the way the clothes are organized, and of course the prices are SUPER reasonable. This is probably my favorite consignment/thrift store in Torrance!”

“Walking into Cheap Vintage is like walking into a massive curated time capsule where there is something to appeal to everyone! Pricing was more than reasonable, and the selection was extensive. I snagged a gorgeous desk here the other day and was floored by how knowledgeable and welcoming the owners of the shop were. They went above and beyond to help me pick out a piece and get it back home. I'll definitely be heading back to "Cheap" soon!”

“Sure is great having a lot of many different kinds of items to pick from. Thank goodness the prices are higher than some people expect to pay 'cause I can swoop in and buy it when they do not. I worked in a thrift store and loved my job. They sure are super nice and smart workers here. I will be donating again real soon.”

“First time here and have to say there's lots to look at and all different types of knickknacks, lots of antiques, that will keep you entertained for some time, not even sure you could see everything in one day. I do have to say it's a tad tight and have to be very careful you're not pumping into stuff but think that's the fun of it, trying to find any hidden gem. Definitely saving this spot to come back for any decoration inspiration.”

“This is a pretty good Goodwill. They keep it nice and neat and it was a pleasure shopping there. I boght a couple of pieces that were definately priced right and were in very good conditon.”

“This thrift store is amazing, to put it frank. Their selection and pricing are better than almost any other thrift store I've been to. I've gotten essentially steals like a $14 CD stand worth around $200 (although in somewhat poor condition) and a place to store tapes for only $4. I've gotten mugs, ice cream makers, vinyls, books, vintage TIME magazines, you can find a lot of stuff at prices that might beat stores like Goodwill or The Salvation Army.”

“The good: I loved the clothing selection. I noticed that the only other r customers there were younger folks. I saw lots of trendy stuff and brands like Zara and Madewell. I ended up getting a metal Easter basket, men's shorts and a woman's Old Navy shirt. The clothes were sorted by type and color. They have two fitting rooms. I like the themed end caps that were holiday centric. The bad: The toy and furniture section was small. There were some kids clothes but barely any baby stuff. The shirts all seemed to be $5.99 which was expensive for some of the shirts. I wish the clothes were sorted by size as well. The interesting: They had fun nostalgic music that included Savage Garden.”

3.9 Good23 Reviews

“Good affordable prices and discounts on certain items on certain days. It's CASH only and they do not give you a bag with your purchases, you have to buy one. It's A LOT of clothes on the racks so you really have to take your time to go through them. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because of no bags and so much stuff piled in those racks. Makes your shopping not as easy, but at least you get a lot of variety.”

“I visited Friends of Animals today for the first time. I saw some nice things. The place is pretty small. The workers were meh and weren't very warm or welcoming. I saw a lamp and two Chihuahua statues I thought looked cool.”
