I cannot say enough great things about Wendy and the team at Sunflower Farms! It is a magical nursery, filled with so many exotic and unique plants. There is so much to choose from and the staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly! They also have a wide variety of garden art, fountains and home decor. I always leave Sunflower Farms feeling stress-free and blissed out! Plus, Wendy often teaches classes on gardening and I get SO much out of them. Highly recommend!!!

The party today was a blast, and I made great new friends. Christi and Russell are my plant gods—the ultimate go-to for any plant questions! Right at the entrance, you’ll see gorgeous, colorful pumpkins that they’ve grown themselves. Super impressive!
This nursery feels so natural, with every plant grown outdoors from scratch. You can really see the growth process—some plants grow tall, others short, just like raising kids. With a little effort, every plant I take home has the potential to thrive just like theirs.
It’s such a contrast to greenhouse-grown plants that rely on machines and chemicals. While those might look great at first, they lose their appeal quickly, and I can never seem to get them back to their original state, which takes away from the joy of gardening.
I highly recommend visiting. You’ll get to see nature up close, every plant’s journey. The thoughtful decorations, the joy of coffee trees full of fruit, persimmons and pomegranates in season, the kindness of Christi, Russell, all the staff, and the stunning, pink-blossomed century-old tree—it’s all amazing!

This is a great place. good people and beautiful plants. The reason for the one star is because I bought an avocado tree about 4 weeks ago.. during the first week I had it the plant looked sad and droopy. Soil was moist so it wasn't thisty.. after that it was downhill.. I found out the root ball was completely rotten and the soil smelled like sewer.. this type of rot takes a long time to happen even if I had kept the entire plant submerged underwater it would not have rot that fast.. the rot had been going on for a long time.. so I called them and they said that all sales are final.. they sold me a dying tree for 60$. Most likely I will not return

What a hidden gem. Quietly sitting on 4 acres in the middle of Gardena. Who knew? lol Just a beautiful place to pick up supplies or just walk amongst nature and soak in the vibes. You'll never meet a more friendly and knowledgeable staff anywhere.

I hired Wendy to come up with a plan for my townhome's small patio yard. We met up and she had so many great ideas and drew out simple sketches of what she was thinking - very helpful in terms of visualizing the space. Her and her small crew came out the following week and had it all done in 2 hours! I highly recommend Wendy. You can see for yourself what a difference it makes in my patio

Sunflower nursery is our local quirky farm. Spent an afternoon looking at their various displays. Lots of plans, but also lots of oddities.

Adorable garden adventure. This place is a labor of love. Part nursery and part adventure. A bit more expensive but your also paying for the experience and privilege of walking thru this wonderland. Loved it!
