We booked a move with Kim Vick for a line haul move from California to Florida on July 8th 2022. During the load the driver attempted to charge $200 extra to place my average size tool box on the truck. I refused and moved it with my personal vehicle, when he had plenty of room. Kim Vick could not tell us where our items were and when they would arrive 10 days after we arrived in Florida. Upon the final arrival the driver would not bring his tractor trailer into the complex stating it was too big. This was after 3 other moving trucks of the same size entered the complex to drop off. I had to use my own truck to move my own items from the moving truck on the outside street. We had a sectional couch that the driver told me was missing. I checked the inventory sheet and also found that 10 of boxes were missing. The inventory sheet was not completed correctly. We tried for the last 11 months to resolve the missing items through their claims division with no results. They called us a month ago to inform us that the couch and 10 boxes were found in their California warehouse. It has been another month with no contact from Kim Vick. Our couch alone was $1500 and we were willing to settle out the claim for $400. Their claims division took a photo to send us of the check they were sending and we never received it. When we call we are totally ignored. I read the complaints on line with Kim Vick and they are consistent with poor service. And what I feel is a case of Theft and Neglect of Service. I was in the moving business for 7 years and never treated our customers that way. If Kim Vick refuses to pay the Claim, our Attorney is ready to collect the full amount for what they owe us.Len Hollandsworth

My move was contracted out to Kimvik by Interstate. They disassembled my furniture at pickup as contracted but did not reassemble at delivery, leaving my stuff in pieces. Quality of work is non-existent - many boxes were completely beat up and flipped every which way with no care and several pieces of furniture are badly damaged. Kimvik has refused to reimburse their incomplete job or take responsibility accountable. In addition the claim process is a nightmare and designed to make you give up; they only accept mail-in forms and physical photos, as well as documents that were not even provided to me at delivery in order to process the claim. They tell you what you want to hear and make empty promises to fix their mistakes while stringing you along for months. Worst moving experience I've ever had, their practices are completely predatory.

If you file a claim for damages, you will never see a dime through Anthem or Kimvik Movers. And you will have damages... lots of them, and most of your damages will be denied.

KimVik Inc is a horrible company. I sadly learned this the hard way. We paid just over $10,000 after being quoted just over $5000 for a no-touch move from California to Colorado last week.Had I seen these reviews I would have NEVER used these people.KimVik Inc. sent numeous guys to load everything and upon delivery sent EXACTLY 1 to unload. The "no touch" move ended up being anything but as I had to help the delivery guy unload a number of heavy pieces of furniture.I called the number 818-818-5176 and got Roberta and she was just a rude obnoxious woman. I asked for a partial refund and was denied. Then she ceased answering my phone calls. We also discovered that we now have bedbugs since the delivery-which we did not have before KimVik Inc. Kim Vik Inc is the sister company to Proload Transportation LLC out of Los Angeles whose truck was used for both pick-up and delivery. These are horrible companies and I would discourage EVERYONE from using them.In addition please stay away from Guardian Vanline which was the booking agent for this disaster. If you are currently in litigation against KimVik Inc. Please send me a message, as I'm looking at suing them at this point.

Absolutely horrific experience. We hired SafeShip, a broker with great reviews, and they turned around and hired this trashy company. We didn't know who was coming until they showed up to pick up our stuff. Had I seen reviews beforehand, I would have NEVER let them take my belongings. They picked up our stuff on June 24 in Los Angeles and told us "the contract says 21 days but we should have it there in 7-10 days. We moved to Florida and waited 32 days for our things with barely any communication. The contract apparently guarantees 21 business weekdays so they actually were still within contract but maybe answer the phone and explain that you're running behind so people don't agonize about having everything they own stolen for an entire month. They literally never answered the phone, never called back when I left countless messages begging for an update, politely explaining how worried I was. I only got a hold of them twice the entire month they had our stuff! Unsurprisingly, 3 kitchen appliances were missing when we finally got our stuff (juicer, food processor, soda stream). Coincidentally they were the only items packed in their original boxes. You're welcome for making them so easy for you to sell. It's sad that I'm more relieved it wasn't worse than upset about what was actually stolen. After a month of truly believing I was robbed of everything I own, losing $400 of replaceable items didn't seem so bad. After I called them to tell them we didn't receive the 3 items, they blocked my number. It's clear in the reviews that these people are criminals.

Take pictures of everything. Check boxes as they are being packed. If they say your electronics are being boxed, like large flat screen TVs, check. My TV was wrapped in a bed quilt. Make sure to take pictures of all paperwork you sign because you will not get any of it no matter how many times you request it for claims for damages. Make sure their inventory list describes what is being packed. My list just said BOX for each tagged box, not what was inside. Many of my boxes were not tagged. Many items not boxed, like floor or table lamps were not tagged and were broken on arrival. This was not a good experience. The movers ran out of packing material and boxes and were unwilling to purchase more to complete the packing professionally. I went out and purchased more, most if which was not used.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I will be reporting them as well as Safe Ship Moving Services to the Better Business Bureau immediately. We have had ZERO communication with anybody despite our best efforts in trying to reach someone for an update on our move. They loaded our truck on June 3rd, promised an immediate delivery and yet here we are in an empty house STILL on June 21st. We have had to start ordering replacements for nearly everything!! Now I’m going to be searching how to charge both company’s for the purchases we’ve had to make. No responses from Kimvik on our truck and we’ve reached out over a hundred different times and 4 different ways. Safe ship gives their general time frame with ZERO information on the business that has all of our things. We have a medical chair in that truck which is clearly the most important as it’s for my mom. This is beyond unprofessional. We need a response and delivery ASAP!!!! CALL US BACK!!!!

Real person here, talking about our real move from DC to CA from 06/14/2022 to 07/03/2022. KimVik was our subcontractor who ghosted us before the job was done.Off the bat, the subcontractor, KimVik Inc. arrived at 3pm after quoting us a 11AM to 1PM arrival window. They charged us $350 for a long-distance move because we live in an apartment complex and they had to walk a bit from the truck to our apartment. But they didn't give us a reasoning behind the quote (e.g., 150 ft. at $50 per 50 ft), and as you'll soon see, the $350 was really a hefty tip at the front for the three of them. They delivered our stuff, but then they ghosted us. They didn't tell us they were done or were leaving, didn't confirm that we had all our stuff. They didn't walk us through the receipt. They blocked my girlfriend's number, then blocked my number when I called them. They left our garage opener in another room instead of giving it to us so that they could sneak away. They didn't assemble ANYTHING even though that's part of the reason that we hired a mover. Some of our stuff is still unassembled days later because we don't have the proper tools (which is why we hired a mover). They also did not place any of our major pieces of furniture in the correct place--not the couch, heavy marble table, desk, smaller couch, king sized bed, and cabinet. In small talk, they had said that they had another job in Modesto that evening, so they almost certainly left our job early after having tipped themselves to an extra $350 at the beginning.Still haven't heard from KimVik--though we'll be filing a small claims lawsuit shortly.

This is the update to my earlier review. After lying about delivery over and over again they finally did deliver. They apparently stored my goods in a warehouse in California for 2 months. I assume that they were getting calls from the Seattle PD after I filed a report of stolen goods. They never did pick up the phone. These guys are clearly crooks.

This is just an update. Kim Vik ended up delivering our furniture. When they arrived they wanted to charge us $350 because we live in an apartment. We said hell no, just put our stuff in our Storage Unit. I knew they just wanted to tip themselves extra money. The one thing I noticed was that our boxes were upside down. Before they could take anything off the truck, they wanted payment upfront or else they would leave. In the future, please do your research and go with a different company. These people are pure trash!!!!!! You couldn't pay me to deal with them ever again. They are a third party moving company. Also, don't deal with any brokers, they are scammers.
