The Purple Velvet EXOTIC / STYLISH / GORGEOUS SOFA that this business produced for me was EXTRAORDINARY!!!! They kindly worked with me to produce it with the materials needed to serve as a comfortable twin bed as well (increased depth & extra firm cushioning). I AM SO GRATEFUL AND TOTALLY IN LOVE with my Funky Extravagant looking sofa!!!!!

Trying again, my first review disappeared. I had absolutely horrible customer service from this place. Even though the furniture is lovely I'd never buy from them again. Save yourself a headache and many months of waiting with no response to inquiries and shop somewhere else.

We purchased two sofas from Funky Sofa. The first was in ****. The second was in 2023. We ordered the sofa on September 5, 2023, and we received it today, December 15. I was concerned after reading some complaints. It was twenty years between orders and a lot could happen with a company during that time. Well, Im here to say that we received our sofa and just like the first sofa we ordered twenty years ago this sofa is also beautiful. It did take more time than what was expected but it was worth the wait. It was delivered well-packaged and free of any damage. It made it from ********** to South ******* in perfect condition. Patience paid off. I wish I could add a photo.

I have wanted to buy a funky sofa for literally a decade. Recently I finally got the perfect opportunity so I ordered some fabric samples. The order was canceled but I was never notified that it was canceled. I finally figured it out by accidentally downloading the Shop app which somehow knew about the order. Then I used the chat on their website to ask and got zero reply. Next I emailed them, and still got zero reply. Finally I called them, talked to someone who said she would find out and let me know, but guess what…zero reply. Whoever is in charge of customer service at this company needs to be fired. I have no idea how good the furniture is and honestly I don’t care to find out. I’m not risking several thousand dollars with a company that doesn’t have the decency to return an email. Sooo disappointed!
Update.. today I received the second set of samples that I ordered. I paid $1 per sample. Please look at the size of the samples in the picture and tell me if that looks appropriate or not. The purple velvet is barely bigger than a penny.

Horrible customer service . Called 3 times and sent 3 emails to check on the status of my order . Nothing . Just a link that says order being fulfilled. Been saying the same thing for 3 weeks , orders been placed 6 weeks ago.

DO NOT EVER USE FUNKY SOFA. I would give negative star review here if at all possible. My wife and I ordered a new couch through Funky Sofa back in February. This was a replacement for an old couch she had purchased from them nearly a decade ago. After receiving no status updates on either completion of the couch or shipping, we finally got word about a month later that the couch was delayed in production because of Covid. Eventually - even though we were told it would take 3-5 weeks to complete and ship - the couch was shipped 3 months later. When it arrived, whoever had packed and shipped it had done so with the removable feet attached to the couch (anyone who knows anything about shipping knows you don't not ship items with the removable pieces attached). Needless to say, the couch arrived damaged. Not just the legs, but the frame to the couch itself (no way it could be repaired on site). We refused to accept the couch, sent it back, and immediately called to report the issue. It took us over a week to get any response. First of all, the "live chat" feature on the website is just a Facebook chat which will just give you the phone number of Jack Barton and tell you to take up any issues with him. It took more than a week of calls and texts to Jack Barton before he finally responded. After trying to talk us into getting a refund from the credit card company instead of him, Jack finally said that he would process a full refund. Nearly a month later, the charge still showed on our credit card. After multiple attempts again to contact Jack, I received the following series of texts (written here verbatim) from Jack regarding our refund: "You can call your CC company and ask for a credit" "It cost me over 1k tonship it back btw" "The legs could have been repaired onsite it was inconsiderate to refuse it without requiring" (again, damage was to the frame of the couch as well, not just the legs) "Just call uourncredit card company. thank you" (misspelling - his) In other words, not only are they not going to process our refund, but are in turn blaming us for the problem and making his life inconvenient. This is among the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. No couch is worth dealing with these a-holes. STAY AWAY!

ANYONE looking for a custom made cough - go ANYWHERE else. Our $2,000 custom sofa arrived 2 months delayed and completely broken - legs (leg holder) ripped off the bottom of the frame of the couch - that was end of May. Jack Barton ("the owner") assured us by text and phone he would refund us. That was the first week of June. He then did not return texts/phone calls and had poor response to facebook message saying "call you credit card company," when they had already promised a refund. Today he texted my husband to "call your cc company and ask for a credit. it cost me over $1K to ship ship it back. the legs could have been repaired onsite. it was inconsiderate just to refuse it without inquiring. just call your credit card company." No - could not have been repaired onsite - the wooden frame was ripped out around the couch leg. No one picks up the phone at funkysofa anyway - we tried calling on the damaged couch - no dice. Atrocious service, and stealing our money. Pretty epically "bad guy" behavior

Do not use this company. Though the sofa I spent $1,000 on is nice, they sent it with a leg missing, rendering it useless. After saying they would send a leg weeks ago there has been no communication and I have received nothing. I don't know how they stay in business.

The most dishonest, unprofessional business I can remember having the misfortune of dealing with. How can they stay in business? And that's working directly with the owner -- until he disappeared and started hiding locked in a back room office when I checked on progress of furniture so many months overdue. Another time they called and said it was in and ready, then when I arrived to pick it up they did not have it or any idea of where it was in the manufacturing process (after THEY called me to say it was ready!) Awful experience. I recommend avoiding.

Horrible customer service and the product is even worse. I got Wish-ed. The sofa looks cheaply made and bulky. Not finely made as advertised on the site. It really looks like something that came from Wish. The quality is just not there. Even worse, it arrived damaged. I immediately emailed Jack and explained to him the situation. He assured me that it happens all the time and that he would send a replacement leg for the sofa but he didn't. He stopped responding altogether. He's a horrible businessman. There are others that do it professionally and much better than he does.

We bought a custom loveseat from Funky Sofa approximately 12 years ago. Their customer service was wonderful and the loveseat we received was awesome! I am getting ready to order another one. I can't wait to get it! Thank you for making my home fun!

The polart furniture looks fantastic. I purchased a few pieces in 2012 in the bonded leather that have all started failing at once on all three pieces. It isnt like they get a lot of use. I live alone. The pieces look perfect except for the peeling. They should sell it with an expiration date.

Placed an order almost 6 weeks ago and sounds like I have received pretty standard service based on the other reviews I read.No call backs,No return e-mail,Spoke to Jack 1x a couple weeks ago and he was going to email me the status of my order,Nothing.I'm not opposed to a long wait if originally statedI am opposed to the lack of transparency Also since the website lists a customer service number and states to call it for tracking information whomever the 3rd party they are using should have the ability to track the orders.Will wait the additional 2 weeks before canceling purchase through my cc company since I did read product may take up to 8 weeks to get here and am not opposed to changing my review if I do end up hearing from them and receiving my sofa within the next 2 weeks.We shall see ??♀️

I ordered a sofa the end of Nov. 2018. I waited until the first week in Jan. 2019 to call them, because I hadn't heard from them. I called, and I emailed. To this day the only people that I could get was their answering service. Needless to say, I cancelled my order.
