“Was looking for some outer skirt steaks and checked Google maps for a butcher shop close to Hermosa. Didn't know we recently acquired one a stones throw away. Went in, and Albert is an awesome guy. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. Picked up some marinaded pollo, which I grilled up last night. It was fantastic! I'm looking forward to picking up some outer skirts (he was out) and also trying some denver steaks. Oh, and the local beer selection was nice to see.”

“This place is a place I've been coming to as a kid. So many memories and it's crazy some of the workers are still there after all these years. All the workers are nice and sometimes the cashiers will do small talk with you. It may be a small place but you can find good food there. You got to have the carnitas, so bomb. You'll find the price higher than a grocery store but I'm going to support this local business.”
“Stopped by here today since I couldn’t find a pizza place to try out. Very good Asada burrito. A lot of meat inside. Burrito comes with chips and salsa. I’ve tried on a few occasions to stop by here but the very limited parking always made me go elsewhere. Order outside and they do have a meat market inside. Friendly staff. If you plan to stop by here park as soon as you see an available spot that’s what I did because of my previous experiences. Street parking only. Dead end street along the south side. I’ll be back again for another burrito and to try something different”

“I was casually driving to my grandpa’s house when I spotted a BBQ sign with smokers outside. Starving and craving something good, I decided to pull over—and I’m so glad I did. I was greeted with amazing service, and while the food was fantastic, what truly made the experience special was the people. There was a real family feel to the place. “Meats are fresh. They have a variety of cuts and choices. Service isn't that great. It seems like the butcher's have an attitude. They answer in a rude manner and seem to try and rush through. Spanish is my second language and can't pronounce certain things correctly. These dudes get irritated fast and correct you almost yelling. I like the fact i can go there for a quick run for my exotic taste in certain meets. I try not to speak much and just get the hell on out. The cashier is sweet and bilingual which makes it cool to be able to communicate.”
“I love getting my meat here for the quality and prices. They keep most of their meat in the locker, so when u go in. If you don't see what you want, ask. Because they have it but don't always have it out because they like to keep mostly everything in the meat locker/ freezer.”
