This place should not be in business they do terrible work. I paid well over $3,000 for a rebuilt transmission that they warrantied for 2 years. 27 months later, the transmission goes bad. I tried speaking with the owner, but no one at the shop would give me any contact information. I contacted Jim ferguson, which is the area manager, who assured me that if I get the car to a shop(I'm no longer living in the area)and have the mechanic contact him, he would help take care of it. I got the car to a shop, and the mechanic told me that there were all kinds of errors when the transmission was put together and that the transmission was no good. The mechanic contacted Jim and made him aware of the errors and what it would cost to rebuild a new transmission. Since then, Jim has avoided all of my calls, and no one at Leon's transmission will give me the owner's number, name, or any kind of contact information. I was not asking Jim to fully reimburse me for the transmission, just maybe some sort of help on the cost to fix it. There's no way a rebuilt transmission for that price should only last 27 months. This place is a total ripoff and accepts no accountability for their work.

Impossible to get a hold of anyone. Their phones don't work and I've been trying for over a week! Not a good way to run a business.

We had our transmission oil changed two weeks before driving down to Disneyland at a different shop. After arriving at our hotel we noticed oil on our tailgate.
Leon's found the leak, replaced the parts and filled our oil. They did an amazing job and we appreciate their kindness. They refused to bill us the cost of the repair as they said it was a very simple fix. Thank you for all of your help Leon’s! We made it home safely!!

They were wonderful. Called me to let me know the status during the repair. Also let me know the actual price. No surprises. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

My boyfriend and I had gone to Leon's transmission to get his transmission fluid replaced. We called before hand where we were told it was free to look at our vehicle and they'd fill up the transmission fluid if it was low for free. In the paper I received it says how the "transmission fluid is full but brown", as the manager then proceeded to mention it wouldn't be worth to change and the only way they'll touch the vehicle is by charging us $3,000+ for a new transmission. We were across the street waiting the whole time watching, and noticed they never lifted our vehicle up for proper inspection. (The truck doesn't have a dip stick, so it would need to be lifted to check properly.) I decided to go to 'One Stop Lighting Wheels & Tires' where they showed me my vehicle had no transmission fluid, and after they changed my transmission fluid my truck ran perfectly fine. No need for a new transmission. This place just saw a younger couple with an older vehicle and tried taking advantage! I HIGHLY don't recommend this scam they consider a business.

The manager is a liar. (Jim) He told me one thing when I dropped off my truck and didn't do what he said he'd do.
He promised me to have an estimate ready for me the next day and he didn't. In stead he told me to go and pick up my truck. DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!
UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Chevrolet Silverado 4X4 developed a pin hole leak in the rear Transfer case cover, my local Chevrolet dealer said the part needed was no longer available and I would have to buy a whole new transfer case $ 4300 Ouch, I took it to Neels auto repair in placentia said he did not specialze in this type of repair, he said go to Leons in Garden Grove see Rick, Rick was very knowledgeable and new his stuff, he found a new transfer case cover with the needed new pump parts that damaged the cover , the work done was excellent and Leons saved me Thousands of Dollars and the work was done right. if I know anyone with transmission or 4X4 issues they are the only ones I would recommend ....5 Stars ..................

Cant say enough good words about Leons. Were they able to fix my issue? no - because it ended up being a fix that the shop does not work on - did they tow my truck to and from my house / their shop / the shop that will address my issue? indeed they did - whenever my f250 trans needs an overhaul, leons will be the only shop i work with. sara and rick - thanks again!

Driving to my sister's on Thanksgiving afternoon, my truck lost power sporadically, dash lights flashing, speedometer flailing around. The next morning I got it to a Costa Mesa garage my nephew recommended. Good guy there, but he was busy. He got to it on Monday, called me in the afternoon , apologized, saying it involved something they couldn't do there, but it was safe to drive. Called Leon's the next day (Tuesday) , talked to Rick, who was up front, told me he was pretty busy. Today (Thursday) Rick called to tell me it wasn't the originally diagnosed problem, just dirty battery terminals not getting voltage to a component. Went in, got my wallet out, and was told there was no charge. Aside from a tire plug, where the manager told me to just tip the guy who did the work, I don't believe I've ever heard 'No charge' from a garage.
