Bad Service!

This is an ok petunia costco. The parking lot is definitely smaller so you will circle around forever unless you go early in the morning or an hour before they close, or you just get lucky! It's definitely smaller than the usual costco i go to, but the employees that work there seem pretty miserable. Not very bright lights in a costco. Lots of variety for asian snacks, but for fruit, it's definitely not as much as other Costcos. I would recommend going to the Huntington Beach Costco because you can park in the parking structure and its way bigger and less depressing!

Avoid at all cost, service is slow and the locals make unnecessary traffic jams through out the parking lot.

Worst costco by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Customer service is horrible. Tried calling to check in stock items and no one answers there phone including the managers or if they do and you start to ask a question I've gotten hung up on immediately.... In store it's bad too, no one cares at this store including managers. Don't try to ask for help. Just go to the fullerton one they are wayyy nicer and willing to help. I'm not able to walk well so that's why I usually have to call ahead so I just called customer service they already put 3 reports against the manager here for being horrible and apologized.

FATIMA IS #1!!! The lady from self checkout is the best person ever! I like this Costco I'm a Saturday regular. Staff here has been friendly for the most part . I like this warehouse more than other warehouses (Fullerton, El Camino) hahahh.

Not our favorite Costco location, but also not the worst. The best thing about Costco in OC is that they have a lot of Asian snacks and items. Whether it's durian ice cream or flowers for Lunar New Year, they'll definitely have it. They also had a family size bag of Hot Cheetos which is something I can never find at any of the other Costco locations near my house. The prices are always great at Costco so you know you'll be getting a good value. We didn't interact with any employees other than the cashier. Parking, however, is a nightmare because of how crowded it always is. I don't know if it's because of how stocked and packed it was, but this location definitely seemed smaller than other ones. Also, the food court is inside of the store which is convenient when its raining but kind of annoying. Overall, we will definitely be back for all of the rare Asian foods!

We've been a Costco Member for 30+ yrs. Tdy we stopped by Costco G.Grove for 1st time. Stores are nice & clean, all stashed up nicely, but the Cashier Sandy (Op#218) was very rude. My husband told her to stop scanning bcuz the items do not belong to us. She would of just continued scanning. Instead of simply saying "thank u" for letting her know. She told my husband, "relax". We've never experienced such rude Cashier. If she's not happy there, then she shd find another job. Don't ruin good customers' relationships like ours. We won't go back to this location again. Obviously Sandy does not value customers' royalty.

Firstly, it's disappointing to see this Costco get bad reviews based on its customer base; their parking skills, lack of courtesy, etc. I really like this Costco because Costco across all warehouses around the world have a lot of similar items, as well as items based off of the local area and carry other specialty items they believe the locals there would like. This Costco has a lot of special Asian items which I really prefer. As well as a lot of seasonal items (eg dragon themed items for lunar new year this year). I also really Really love the Optometry here. I've been a loyal patient for many years and all the workers in the optometrist's office( as well as the Optometrist herself) and outside in the glasses area have been mostly the same for years. They are very knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely expedient+ passionate at what they do. Kenn as well as everyone else in the optometry department are the absolute best team. I really appreciate the extra effort Kenn put in to help me throughout my patronage here. I wanted to cry because I had broken my glasses twice and accepted that I might be spending money to get new ones, but Kenn fixed two of my glasses in moments when I came in. I really value the people who work at this particular Costco because they are so nice and helpful, from the pharmacy to the optometry, to the check out staff. Thank you. Another thing I like about Costco is that they have a program for buying cars. If you want to buy a car locally, you can go see if they have it through Costco. Save yourself the haggling, and get a great quote through Costco and bring that to the dealership. So many cool things like vacations, car quotes, buying gold, and access to their food court, from their membership. I really love all that value you get.

Why are the reviews so low. I think it's great here. The prices are very competitive. Except for the parking, but that means it has customer.

I've had a membership for over 20 years and I enjoy shopping and gassing up at Costco. I love their selection and bargains.

Been to a lot of Costco's, this one has the most unique layout and items for sale. I try to avoid this location because the parking lot can be a nightmare and getting out of there alive can be a video game in itself, but it's one of the closest Costco's to Disney and the gas station has cheaper prices than the neighboring stations. I recently stopped by to run errands since I was in Garden Grove and walked in and saw A LOT of cool items for Chinese New Year. One of them was this whiskey set that came in a fancy wooden box with interesting glass whiskey containers. There were other standard Chinese or Lunar New Year items that you would not find at another Costco. Definitely not a favorite Costco of mine for other reasons, but they do have cool items you can't find elsewhere.

Workers here are rude. First time I came here they started kicking people out right at 830 pm. They started blocking off aisles and started telling people stores closed. I only needed a few things and couldn't even get a few more items cause they did this. I just ended up leaving. Second time I came here I was in line for checkout. When the person in front of me got to the register, the worker handed the guy infront of me the register closed sign without saying anything to me. So rude didn't say anything to me after I had been waiting there in line, it wasn't like I just jumped in. I couldn't go to self checkout cause I had alcohol so I went to another line where there were several people in front of me with a lot of items. This is literally the worst Costco I've ever been to.

Extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Costco Garden Grove. The level of management here is seriously lacking. Upon entering, you're met with a rigorous membership card check, which feels unnecessarily strict. But then, bizarrely, they check it again at the self-checkout. This overemphasis on membership control is frustrating and adds no value to the shopping experience. The state of the store is also concerning. On several occasions, I've noticed moldy fruits and other perishable items on the shelves. It's apparent that the store's focus is more on membership verification than on the quality and safety of the products they sell. The parking lot situation is another testament to poor management. Shopping carts are left scattered around, creating a hazard and inconvenience. The staff seems either too overwhelmed or too indifferent to address this issue promptly. I strongly believe that Costco Corporate needs to intervene and replace the current management with a team that prioritizes product quality and customer experience over obsessive membership checks. The current management's negligence, especially regarding food safety and store organization, is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

If you don't enjoy masochism, don't go to this Costco. The parking lot is disastrous. The customers have no concept of spatial awareness. They stand in aisles and leave their carts everywhere in the parking lot. Unless you plan on showing up an hour before they open, don't bother going here because it will be so packed that you'll hate your life. If you're just now leaving your house and they open in 15 minutes, you're already too late. I honestly wouldn't have a membership here if I didn't live within walking distance. When I come to this Costco, I make sure I arrive a half hour before they open, I know exactly what I'm here to get, I get in and I get the F out. The crappy part is I don't think there's really anything Costco can do to change the conditions that make this location just so awful, aside from maybe tearing it all down and building some kind of three-story warehouse with a parking structure attached and hiring traffic control. The employees are great. I've never had an issue with them. It's just the customers. The customers are all awful.
