Horrible place for serious training. they don't have control of how many people are inside.. there are no announcements not to use the phone in a training area. the place is full and the people inside occupy the devices to watch Facebook. Instagram etc. and the wait for them to vacate the device is 45 min. I have the max membership according to be able to take my children to the kid club. but it is never open and when it is open the gym is very full... incredible I pay for a service that cannot be used... in the pool the Asian people spit in the pool and clean the mucus of their nose in the pool . and as there is always nothing to tell them that this is not done... horrible . there is no regulation no control of anything...

1. The hot tub water is almost unbearable. In the past, they would at least use a spray to control the bubbles. If they are going to insist on dirty water they should at least leave the spray out for the paying members who get the privilege of stewing in this water.2. Regarding the steam room constantly shutting down for 15-25 minutes at a time, the minimum steam temperature is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The steam generator is constantly getting a fresh supply of COLD water, and quite honestly is engineered to supply steam at a minimum temperature of 212 degrees. This gym is asking its members to believe that pouring some water on a thermocouple on the wall in the steam room is causing the steam generator to either 1. Malfunction or 2. Overheat (go into some kind of protection mode). Funny thing is, this protection mode never seems to happen when the gym isn’t busy. I understand why the gym is against people tricking the thermostat (calling it what it is) to make the steam room hotter, but being told that there is a “malfunction” after someone reports water on the thermostat, seems a little fishy. The official set temperature is 110 degrees which is almost half that of the temperature coming out of the generator. Do you really think a multi thousand dollar piece of spa equipment really is going to malfunction if the temperature goes up to, let’s say, 130 degrees? No. Either they have a faulty unit, or are misleading their members. Also, If it has to be said, it’s mandatory that the sensor is waterproof due to the steam environment in the room, so unless you pour acid on the wall, the sensor will remain unaffected. Definitely we aren’t getting the truth and it’s Very disappointing. This is the same gym that will accept the steam generator running at half capacity for months without scheduling any sort of service/ replacement preventably, only to wait until it breaks for good so they can close it down for a month and a half. They still get their money and get a nice break on utilities.Profit is important but at a certain point, wear parts are going to break heating elements are going to disintegrate and no matter what temperature the steam room reaches, I guarantee you this steam generator will break as well. In the big picture, with proper management (as well as paying respect to customer complaints/ observations regarding the functionality of their equipment) rather than losing the steam room for a month +, they could have easily had the room preventatively fixed without any downtime without wasting money or forcibly devaluing our memberships.I’ve been coming here for years now, I get it things happen but it’s getting crazy. I wish this location had a little more respect for the customer.

Terrible management.. I come to this gym frequently and a lot has changed in the past month and sadly not for the better. The newest manager Savannah is a terrible addition to the team and I have drawn the last straw with her. Her team interactions and the way she orders them around can be heard from the front desk while checking in. It appears the gym is just a playground of men for her as she flaunts around the gym. Not to mention this gym appears to be running without a general manager onsite. I’m not sure what is happening with this location but corporate needs to step in. Until then I’m making the 20 minute drive to Westminster.

I’ve been going to Chuze almost every weekday for the last five months, so…. this is what I think..Chuze is great. I go to use the treadmill, which DOES NOT have a time limit! You can go past the hour mark and not have it shut down on you like every other gym (super nice for distant runners!). Unfortunately, the ellipticals do stop on the hour, so I usually wait for it to timeout before restarting, or I just leave (only using till my knee heals).Chuze has great temperature.I’ve tried Planet Fitness and it’s unbearably hot, like suffering every minute from the heat (I think it’s so you’d leave sooner). It’s so much cooler at Chuze, especially in the morning or after 10pm. It can get stuffy with a lot of people, but I run and I still find it better than PF.For weekdays I aim to go 4am-6am, or 10pm-close. Other times can get crowded.Other things I love:-Cleanliness-Friendly Staff-Turf area (I just started using)-Chuze Rewards (So close to first free month!)-Plenty of wipesDislikes:-Fountain water (taste gross! I bring my own)-Can get crowded-People’s kneesOverall, great gym!Not gonna stop going

I just tried to do a pay in full membership and was told that the current summer promotion for two months off could not be applied to a pay in full plan - I was trying to get the second highest tier. From what I see the plans have the exact same payment structure with the exception that I'm not financing my membership at the gyms expense. The receptionist phoned his manager and the manager literally did nothing to save my business. I am a bit flabbergasted that I literally came in ready to buy but would be penalized for not wanting a month to month.

I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars only because I have seen some improvement with the cleanliness and the one thing that will keep me coming is the great service and hospitality the staff provides at this location, especially the kids club workers. But as long as the reservations for the kids club are not back or 1/4 of the cardio machines keep being out service, I can't give it 5 stars. I will change my rating once those disadvantages improve.

Lately the inside of the gym has been really suffocating i could barely breathe , like there's so many ppl with so little air flow. They need to take a look at this issue and fix the ac or something like that.

I'm posting these pics since my review was only half answered . If I was a manager here I would be embarrassed! I know other locations offer different things and sometimes nicer but I'm a busy mom that doesn't have time to drive around the city and then come back to get my kids. The only time the kids day care at the gym is open is when I'm working so kind of useless to me. Might check out UFC gym at this point I'll pay for the gym I deserve . This. This is not it . Shame on you guys

Amazing, the steamroom has been busted for over three months. It's like they're not even trying. I hear the customers complaining a lot. It really is ridiculous and pathetic. I understand that it gets busted because some users keep pouring water on the thermostat. But this could be avoided if they just updated the steam generator with one with built-in thermostatic protection. Plus the men's locker room Reeks!!! It doesn't just smell like death. It smells like death had something nasty for lunch and decided to fart all over the locker room.

Will be cancelling my membership. I have been a member since 2019, and a more+ member since it has been added. Westminster Mall location has always been my home spot, but since it's closure everyone has been flocking and overcrowding Beach Blv and Brookhurst locations. They offer these extremely low rates to people for new years who will sign up for 3-4 months at the cost of losing long term members. If you want a gym for the weekdays, forget about this spot, you will be waiting for equipment. I've constantly reached out asking if a new location would be popping up in Westminster in the future, just to be ignored. Signing up to LA Fitness in May if nothing is to change.

I'm canceling my membership, and so should you! This gym is absolutely deplorable and shockingly negligent. I lodged a complaint almost a month ago before Christmas, highlighting the filthy hot tub water and the dysfunctional steam room. They promised to address the issues, but there's been zero improvement. The trash I noticed a month ago remains untouched, with no signs of cleaning or replacement. Your hard-earned money deserves a more worthwhile investment elsewhere!

It used to be good, but now it's taking a terrible downturn! The sauna is broken, the hot tub water is dirty and disgusting. I noticed a bandage next to the tub one day, and when I returned 2 days later it was still there!! Clearly, no one has been cleaning or replacing the water. I might consider joining a different gym.
