Outstanding selection and great customer service. I go here to pick up warhammer 40k, ASOIAF minis, and acrylic paints like vallejo, citadel, a&k, proacryl, two thin coats, and army painter speedpaints. They are a rare store because they actually do discounts on gw products.I have lately been regularly looking at their consignment section for even more discounted minis.

Updated: Sadly I've had to update my review, Ive tried to support Brookhurst Hobbies over the years but the past few times I've gone in they haven't had what I needed and I ended up having to order it online. DONT BUY THEIR GREENSTUFF. Their army painter greenstuff is bad/old/cured. I tied to take it back but every box I tried was bad and they told me it was "normal" but it's not, it will not mix properly. Ended up ordering green stuff online which was much better. IDK if it's an issue with army painter greenstuff or this store's stock but basically it's a 50:50 these days if stopping by the store will be worth the trip so I've just stopped going.

Very friendly staff, and a good selection of board games. I can't really talk about their model kits or wargaming products, because I am not very familiar with those, but for board games and Magic: The Gathering, this store is pretty solid. I've been coming here for years, and if the quality of their service stays the same, I will keep coming here for many more.

We love supporting small local businesses, so we frequent this store. Pros: -Gaming area next to store front for people who want to play things like Warhammer and need a spot -Has some good deals sometimes. Great place to pick up small items and save by not paying shipping or consignment items like opened partially build armies someone changed their minds on. -Bring your kid on Father's Day for a discount, dads. Fun little bonding tradition for my husband and the kids. -Has a decent range of different hobby items like board games, war games, models, card games, ttrpg books, painting supplies, dice, etc... -Has a decently large parking lot. We never struggle to find parking here. Cons: -Dusty -Dark -Prices on some of tge items aren't the cheapest, so I usually cross check online.

What can I say? The cool part is the displays of models, that me and my dad look forward to visiting when we venture out in this area ?

Service here is either a hit or a miss. Sometimes you get a helpful and friendly staff, other times you don't. Unfortunately the latter happened more than the former. Prices on most Bandai kits are 10% higher than the competitors. Not a lot of sales going on, if there is, very little saving. I shopped here many times in hope their services improved but unfortunately nothing change. The only merits to shop at this place are they have a lot of varieties and it's closer to my house than other shops. However; I went home feeling bad about my purchases too many times for me to give them another chance or recommend them to others. They don't even give cash refund to you, only store credit. Today marked my final time with Brookhurst Hobbies.

Can't ever stop going here! I'm a Gunpla builder and this hobby shop definitely caters to my desires. They are also not afraid to stock more obscure kits so those willing to try out something new are always tempted. There's also a HUGE selection of paints, tools, games and more traditional models than you can imagine!

Best selection of model painting supplies. Also good RPG books selection. Big fan of the 3d printed models they sell on commission from James.

The place has so many items and tools for many craft hobbies regarding gunpla, miniature war figurines, fighter jets, metal cast car kits, and many model kits. This place also has an area for card games such as Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. Really neat place and had a constant flow of customers. Really quiet and enjoyable atmosphere. The worker there was really patient with me and answered many of my questions. I easily spent over $100 on tools to start out gunpla painting. Great place to spend time.

I've seen an improvement in staff and products over the past few months. That is awesome! However, I end up buying my stuff online even though I want to browse and spend money here due to the fact that they close at 7 on weekdays. Brookhurst hobbies used to be open way later than this in the past... I hope you go back to being open like you used to so I can come after work..

My Favorite scale model store ever! Biggest selection and even better prices. They have everything you need to get started on your childhood hobby again weather it's model cars, military, trains, or Gundam.

Went here for some model kit tools and they had a decent collection of import and US brands. They also have a large collection of Gunpla kits that are reasonably priced - especially when you remove shipping costs out of the equation (assuming that you visit the physical store).
