Basics is a great neighborhood shop for all the things you need but may not know you need. We frequented this shop initially for their sewing services, they put all of my kid's Girl Scout and Cub Scout patches on as they grew up. They stock Girl Scout books, patches and vests, work shirts, dickies, various tees, flannels, stickers, work boots and more clothing. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. We appreciate this shop for the things we have needed but it's also a great place to wander around.

Last minute Girl Scout troop leader here. I was referred to Basics as my official GS orders where not available for an upcoming camp trip. I called ahead to Franco and he was kind and took the time to help me organise all the badges, pins and uniform needed. I called many time changing and adding to my order, each time Franco was more than helpful. Everything I needed he had available to pick up that day. Awesome customer services. Girl Scouts looking for a go to place for all your official badges...... Here the place, right here! Prices where the same as the official store prices too.

I get my kiddo's scouting patches sewing done here and they do a great job. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly. They even helped removed patches that were "glued" on. The turnaround time is about 3-5 days. You can usually get it within a week, but I'm sure they can get things done sooner if asked. They have a HUUUUUGGGGE selection of work clothes and they have an even bigger selection of patches for scouts and other youth organizations. This store is a drive, but totally worth it. Just make sure you check their hours before heading over.

Great place! The staff is very knowledgeable about all Girl Scouts. I bought a patch that day, and he had it completed after I had paid for it. Excellent service! I definitely recommend this place.

OMG this place SUCKS now. Used to be the spot back in the 90s. They'd stock every color and size of Ben's and Dickies imaginable. If they didnt have it they'd bust out a catalog and special order it for you. Now it looks like Junior and Doofus run the show. 2 colors and 3 sizes available and they dont do orders. Your average tweaker at the flea market has more variety than this place these days. What happened to Basics?!

This store is a blessing for north OC Girl Scout moms and leaders! They have the badges, patches, insignia and uniform basics we need without traveling all the way to GS headquarters in Irvine or paying the absurd shipping rates online. Prices are about the same but so much less stress. They'll even sew on badges for a fee. So thrilled we found Basics

Since the nephew took over the business customer service and quality has gone out the door. The previous owner would never turn away a fast stich job. Also letters and fonts are not the same. The employees are more helpful then the nephew.
