“Took my car into the body shop after crashing my car into my garage and scraping all of the paint on my new car. Super bummed. I'd communicated with Leo for a day or two over text before I came in to get work done. Over the phone he was prompt to reply and was willing to work with my budget since I was paying out of pocket and not through insurance. He tried to get me the best and most affordable deal for replaying the door panel and matching the paint and panel for around $1700.00 when other places quoted me high $2000 and some $3600. After discussing and me telling him how badly I needed my car this weekend to commute to my two jobs so he told me he would buff it out try his best to make it look new. We decided to forgo the total door replacement for now and just buffed it out. I'm really struggling for money right now and he really helped me. Made my door look brand new for $70 cash. Compared to other body shops, this place looks run down - maybe it's because of the volume of cars they have on the lot. You can tell that this is their business. But don't let the looks deceive you. “This place is great and Christian and Al are even better. When I was young I had to work on my vehicles as I was broke. As an older adult, I started fixing things on my car as needed. At least what I was able to tackle. Finally, I needed a starter on my old Jeep Liberty and was referred to DC Electric by a friend who used them many times in the past. Like normal, I looked online for a starter and decided that I would rather support a local business and rebuild my OEM Starter. This is when I, like many others, ventured to their shop and both Chris and Al were super kind, informative, and explained that it was no big deal and they would call me in the morning. Needless to say, it was ready the next morning, looked great, works great, priced right, and I couldn't be more than happy. I felt really happy about supporting them as a local business. Further, with them taking it apart and checking it all out, would be better than buying another one online. Then, about 6 months later, I determined that my alternator was popping all these funky error codes (process of elimination). This was weird to me as I just replaced the Alternator about a year earlier with a remanufactured one that I bought from the auto parts store (prior to the starter issue noted above). I didn't even hesitate this time and decided that I was going to take it to DC Auto Electric and, once again, Al met me at the shop right before closing and explained that it might be something funky inside (brushes, etc) even though it was only about a year old. So, I left the Alternator and we discussed that we would talk in the morning. I thought about it and mentally decided that maybe I should scrap this one and just buy a BRAND NEW one that wasn't remanufactured from the store. When I spoke to Chris in the morning I was going to tell him what I decided and he told me that he already fixed it and it was ready for pick up. He showed me the worn out Brushes that were in the Remanufactured alternator (they were basically gone). Once again, super affordable, top-notch service, and I went over and picked it up. No more error codes. These guys are awesome, friendly, helpful, and I would recommend them to anyone (and have done so already). I hope they stick around for at least another 30 years. A Great Local Company!”
