Harry reached out from Appliance World after the review was posted. Instead of the runaround, they ended up sending me the check for $150 for the rebate that they promised.

I stumbled on this place after having a not so pleasant experience with another guy. My dryer had not been igniting and needed someone to come and fix it without trying to sell me all the bells. Sean came out the same day to see if I needed a new dryer or if he could fix it. Unfortunately I did need a new dryer and he showed me a few that I could purchase from them. He told me to shop around to see if I could find a better price elsewhere and didn't push me to buy anything from him. The efficiency, honesty, and level of service he provided left me feeling like I was in good hands. The very next day he delivered me a brand new dryer and installed all within the span of probably 40 minutes. If I didn't have an upstairs unit he probably would've been quicker! Overall I cannot recommend appliance world and their staff enough. If anything ever breaks in this house again, I know who I'll be calling.

This company was referred to us when we requested service from our property management. This was our first encounter with this company and we were hoping for a positive experience due to the good reviews listed here.We live in a home where we do not wear shoes in the house and Sean clearly stated that his tech must keep his shoes on for liability purposes which we clearly understood. Upon the arrival of the technician, we were greeted by someone who did not show any common courtesy, was very rude from the get-go, and just had an overall bad attitude when speaking with us. We did not receive our service from AW due to their technician's lack of courtesy and respect given to our family members at home. I called back AW and spoke with Sean (sp?) after this ordeal about getting a different technician to come back but was told that that guy was his ONLY technician in his company, which didn't make much sense to me -- don't companies have at least multiple or a second technician in case their main technician was out sick or needed a day off??I was told that this service was only available TODAY at this moment because his one and only, sole technician is to leave the country soon -- okay, can this appointment be moved to next month? No, Sean says.In the beginning, this Sean person seemed like a nice guy. Not sure about the quality of handling positive communication and his ability to compromise which clearly trickled down to his worker. Also, who only has ONE technician to service all his customers? This in itself is a huge liability issue to the technician's physical and mental well-being. No wonder the technician had a bad attitude because he probably can never get a day off!

Thanks to Appliance World for helping out my parents in Anaheim, CA. Their washer went out and I live in Austin, TX. I emailed a few places and AW responded pretty quickly. They had a Speed Queen washer in stock and delivered it a few days later. Fast and good service! Thank you.

It so hard to get good service these days but man Sean went above and beyond. He Even worked around my schedule and got my new stove up and installed in a matter of 15 min! And His communication was great I am so impressed! Thank you for being awesome Appliance world!

I made the decision to purchase myself a new Speed Queen washer and dryer set. The Speed Queen website directed me to Appliance World. I called and spoke to the owner Sean. Sean personally delivered my new washer and dryer the same day. He was friendly and explained everything about the set up. He told me to register my new machines with Speed Queen online. Sean also provided me with all of the paperwork for my machines. I recommend Appliance World for fast, friendly service at a fair price. Looking forward to doing laundry with my new washer and dryer!

Called several appliance companies, spoke to sean. His honesty and concern to help me with my refrigerator problem was above and beyond all others. Went to his store in garden grove. He did solve my refrigerator problem same day. Had it delivered same day! If your looking for any appliances, do the right thing by yourself, contact this place. You won’t be disappointed. Excellent place! Quality appliances! Mahalo for everything.

Sean is wonderful. Quick installation and clear instructions. It wasn't the easiest installation, but Sean had a great smile and conversation and did it quickly and professionally. Washer works great, too.

I would NOT have AW do work for me if they were the only appliance repair people in town! I'd buy new before I'd let them in my home again! In Nov 2021, our dishwasher stopped working. Our property mgmt (PM) company sent out a tech from Appliance World (AW) who determined that it needed to be replaced. While at our home, the tech was rude. He complained about the distance he had to drive to reach us and then said he would only come back if he could have a morning appointment. I wasn't home to hear this for myself, but frankly, I didn't want him back. A few days later, an AW tech came back (believe it was the same older Asian man named Tommy, Billy, or something similar) with a new dishwasher. After he removed the old dishwasher (and left a trail of water throughout the house without cleaning it up), I noticed that there appeared to be some type of black mold on the inner wall of the cabinet. I pointed it out to the installer who went on to dismiss me. He told me that he knew it was just dirt and even repeatedly directed me to touch it and see for myself. I stopped him from installing the new dishwasher and explained to him that I needed to contact the PM company. The man was clearly annoyed with me. He became very aggravated with me - telling me that he knew that there had been mold there, but it had been remediated before. What I was worried about was just dirt. His words, tone, & posture made it obvious that he thought I was an idiot and why couldn't I just shut up and let him get this over with. He went outside and called his boss. In the meantime, I got on the phone with the PM company who stopped the install. Thank goodness they did! They sent out an expert then next day who confirmed IT WAS MOLD! Knowing this and knowing how the rude, condescending, and aggressive the AW tech was with me, I conveyed my concerns to the PM company who had Sean from AW call me. I spoke with him at length about what happened with his tech. His response was that the incident was in the past and he just wanted to move forward. Not even so much as an apology! It was apparent Sean was not going to address it and certainly did not care about the poor customer service his tech provided - not to mention REPEATEDLY SUGGESTING THAT I TOUCH THE MOLD! FAST FORWARD to this past Saturday (5/7/22). Our microwave stopped working. We contacted our PM company the same day who said they would put in a request for service and someone would be out on Monday (today). Sean (AW) called us this afternoon and said they were all booked and would be out there Tuesday am instead. We reminded him that we did not want that tech back in our home. To which, Sean canceled the appointment and the workorder with the PM company because that HORRIBLE TECH was the ONLY TECH AW has to do the job! Seriously, their only tech is someone who encouraged me to stir up some unknown type of black mold. I'd say, hire AW at your own risk!

What a great experience! Woke up on Sunday morning to find my dryer was broken. Mind flashed between replacing it and calling a repair service, but initial calls all said I was looking at a few days to a week without a dryer - at best. For a variety of reasons, this was NOT a good time to be without my dryer, so I was getting stressed! I found Appliance World online & Sean was at my home (did I mention it was a Sunday?) in just over an hour. This is not because it was a slow day. He was handling a job in another city and fit me in on his way back. He diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse, fixed it while I chatted with him and left me with a dryer working perfectly for an extremely fair price. It occurs to me that Appliance World sells dryers, too. And I was just desperate enough that I probably would have bought one! I was heartened by his honesty and his obvious technical skill. This company is definitely a keeper! Highly recommend.

First off, let me start by saying...I had been actively researching washers for MONTHS. We had bought a used one and it never worked so we were looking to buy brand new. I have read reviews on EVERY AND ANY store that sells washers and dryers: Lowes, The Home Depot, American Freight, Best Buy...the list goes on. The reviews I read on BRAND NEW washers were horror stories. These are people who have spent anywhere between $800 to over $2,000 on what they thought would be great, if anything at least WORKING washers. And the brands were all supposedly reputable like whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, etc. These people were talking about their units arriving and never working, talking about their unit worked for two months then broke or that their units literally just fell apart. Nothing is built how it used to be and it shows. During my research for a washer I found that speed queen was said to be the most reputable and I also happen to come across Appliance World in the middle of that search. After reading what they have to say on their website they sounded perfect! It's hard to find people that are knowledgeable about the products in which they sell these days. If you go to Best Buy or Home Depot or some place like that, you get a guy or girl that has no information they're just there. When we walked in Harry immediately showed that he was super knowledgeable in the products they sell and even in the products they don't sell. We bought a speed queen washer and dryer pair on the spot. It was an expensive buy, but the warranty is great and I agree with the salesman that you get what you pay for. This was a Friday and they said they would deliver Monday. They actually called this morning (Saturday) and had my machines delivered and installed in less than an hour. And I don't live in Garden Grove I live in San Pedro. Sean is the one that delivered and installed and he was very thorough. He installed everything quickly and made sure everything was working before he left. We're super satisfied with the customer service that they provided. They have our business for life! We will be buying a refrigerator from them next and any other appliances we may need for the house in the future. So refreshing to get great service and great product from a family business. I highly suggest doing business with them if you're in the market for major appliances, you won't be sorry. Thank you guys again!!

My washing machine broke down this week and I needed a replacement ASAP. I wanted to support a local and family business so I paid them a visit instead of a big box store and I left thoroughly impressed. When I first walked in, I noticed it is a homey appliance store with few but reputable appliances. I already knew beforehand what I wanted (Speed Queen TC5) when I went in, but Shahe showed me another Speed Queen just to give me options but he let me decide what I want. He was never once pushy or trying to sell me something I didn't need. He was upfront about the costs, detailed everything out, and was able to deliver the same day for a reasonable cost. I arrived at the store around 9:30am, finished the transaction before 10am, and Shahe was at my house to deliver and install by 12pm the same day. Washing machine works fantastic and way better than my older one. I had water overflowing from the drain pipe (not the washing machine's fault) and Shahe was kind enough to recommend some fixes I could discuss with the plumber. I really like that our contact didn't end after the transaction. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the washing machine and responded to my questions in a timely manner and respectfully. Hard to find customer service like this now a day and this will be my go to store for appliances in the future!

The first couple times I've been here, the gentleman that helped me was very intuitive. Knew exactly what part I needed and all. Granted I'm not an appliance handyman, and it's definitely not my profession. But, I do work on my own. I haven't had a problem yet. The reason I'm giving only three stars, my last encounter was disappointing and very unpleasant. It was close to closing time, and I was curious to know if they had lid locking and actuator motors in stock. Yes, understandably he would need model number and all that jazz. Generally looking for info, he could've just stated it's a special order type of thing. I continued to ask him if he knew of any other supply location, only because I knew they were closing SOON. He got aggressive, asked me for the model number. I tried to tell him that it was difficult for me to see.... Before I could even finish my sentence, he HUNG the phone up! Now the first time, I sent the gentleman pictures of what I needed. He was accommodating. This gentleman, who didn't have any patience and straight cold. Well, thanks to you! I went out and purchased a new washer and dryer. I no longer have to call this business. In the meantime while I enjoy my new machines, I'll be in search of a new supply shop. Customer service at its finest... #onebadappleruinsabunch
