So I've been living in Galt for almost 10 years and this Walmart has struggled since. The lines are often long, limited registers open and the self service lines are long. I recently did a survey post a visit and spoke to the team lead Kathleen as she called me once my survey was received. She acknowledged the issues and indicated they were short staffed the managers had to get on the registers and the machines were down in self checkout. I just think overall this has been an ongoing issue. Oh and let's not forget the refrigerators have gone down many times in the last few months. The ppl at the door only stop certain ppl for receipts which I have been stopped many times and the store lacks variety (ie. Cultural products or even blow dryer attachments) Lets not forget the African American hair products are locked up. Mmmm. Anyway, I try my hardest to not come here but it's only when in pickle. Visit and make your own observations.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience which left me feeling humiliated and frustrated. As a loyal customer for three years, I have always believed in supporting local businesses, but my encounter at this particular store has left a lasting negative impression. And I encourage you to shop elsewhere. When checking out at the self-checkout I was struggling with items ringing up at the sale price. One item was marked 75% off but the cashier yelled at me that it couldn't be that price and I had marked it that way! It came from a bin of the same items all marked that way. When I tried to tell her, she said I needed to go to the main check out. The breaking point came at the checkout counter to make my purchase. Instead of being treated like a valued customer, I was subjected to her and the cashier searching the items I was purchasing and counting everything completely disregarding my privacy and dignity. It was an embarrassing and degrading experience that no customer should ever have to endure. I understand the importance of preventing theft, but there are more respectful ways to address this concern without making innocent customers feel like criminals. Trust and respect are essential components of a positive shopping experience, and unfortunately, Walmart failed to deliver on both fronts. In light of this encounter, I will not be returning to this store, and since there are no other Walmarts near me I am forced to shop at a different retailer. I believe that customer service should be a top priority for any business, and it is evident that this store has a long way to go in that regard. I sincerely hope that they reconsider their approach and strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers going forward.

Received damaged drinks several times and the worker will have attitudes that indicate they hate their miserable lives.

The best pickup I've been to. I have not had a missing item which seemed kinda common at other locations. The pickup wait time good too.

Check the dates on mèats, etc. All of their Farmer John's sausages had January expiration dates (it is Feb 7th today).

This has to be the worst store for DD, Spark drivers and customer pick ups. This store marks orders as ready and already dispensed way before they bring the orders out. I waited 21 minutes for 4 bags and two cases of water that had been marked ready and when I called they said it was dispensed. So um ya no I don't have my order where is it? When you call to inquire the employees are rude and unprofessional. Everything is a glitch. When I did receive the order the frozen items were defrosted so you could totally tell the freezer item had been out of the cooler for awhile making the food potentially unsafe. They don't even try to problem solve. Just blame the glitch.

I usually love the Galt location more then the Lodi location, however, I feel the need to warn people of my experience. I will never go in the am again. Last night, around 9:00 pm, we went to purchase 1700.00 worth of clearance legos. It was for a charity event for kids that lose their homes to fires. The staff last night were amazing, friendly, and so helpful. However, due to the amount of my purchase, I believe my credit card thought I was fraudulized. They sent a text asking if it was me which I said yes. They said try the card again but it declined again. My mother in law tried as well with three other cards but it wouldn't accept it. It was now close to closing time so the manager said he doesn't usually hold items, but due yo all the trouble and the situation was not my fault, he agreed to hold if I came back in the am. I just left there this am and will NEVER go back. I asked a lady who was nice at first and then when I told her I was here for a hold, she got extremely rude and said we don't do that. It's not allowed. I told her a manager did it for me and out my carts in a utility closet. She wasn't going yo even look but I told her I was told I could purchase this am. She said she sees the carts but the manager is in trouble for doing such a thing. (Not my problem). She preceded to state that Walmart doesn't do this and that it's taking away from other customers. I don't know why it matters who purchases as long as they get their money. It was closed when we left last night and I was there early this am, so I don't know how this affected other customers. Eventually she gave in and I was by myself and said I would be right back god the second cart I had filled. And she said I can't leave it at customer service because people needed to be there. So I said ok, where should I put it for now? She said, I don't care where you take it but it can't stay here! I was completely appalled by her attitude. She didn't even offer to help me bring the carts to a checkout clerk. So unbelievably rude. And the check out clerk was really rude as well. I would think Walmart would want a sure sale (especially over 1500.00!). Had this not been for charity, I would have walked out. But I wasn't going to disappoint these kids! NEVER WILL I EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN.

Shopping in store on a weekend means searching empty shelves for something that will work instead of what you want. Delivery is insane. I once ordered $150 worth of groceries and recieved $70 dollars worth of food because they didn't have the product advertised. When you do get what you ordered beware of rotten vegetables and expired dates. If you are missing items or items are wrong there is no way to get ahold of them, as the phones are rarely answered.

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I was singled out at the self checkout registers and accused of stealing when I wasn't even done ringing up my stuff. At this point I'll be cancelling my Walmart subscription. This is the fifth time my boyfriend and I have been harassed walking into this store or checking out. We won't be back here again.

We were right in the middle of this location and the Walmart in Lodi. Of the two, I prefer this one in Galt. Their shelves are usually stocked and their prices are reasonable. Staff has always been friendly. But, I felt I needed to relay an experience I had today (5/28/22 @11 am). I was in the produce department and there was a gentleman who appeared to be a department manager or maybe just a senior staff, training a younger staff member on stocking the strawberries in the refrigerated case. As I wanted to get some, I stood by waiting. As I watched, the man doing the training dropped an entire large clam shell box of strawberries. It popped opened and strawberries went all over the floor and also underneath the display case in the dust. Personally, I would've gathered them all up and either thrown them out or taken them in the back and thoroughly washed them. However, with me watching, he used his hands to drag all the strawberries across the floor and out from under the refrigerated case and into a big pile. He then picked them up and put them back in the clamshell container and put them right back up in the display case! He didn't miss a beat, he kept talking to the trainee and telling him how things are done and all I could think is that this is really what he wants to be teaching a new employee? Yes, I did buy a pack of strawberries, but I made sure they were very neatly placed in the box and not the ones he scraped across a dirty floor and threw every which way into the container. After seeing this, not only will I check on how the fruit itself looks, but I will only be purchasing a container with the fruit very neatly placed, and not looking as though it had been thrown in the box. Pretty disgusted.

Fix the electric carts please! Mine had a green light- it got me as far as the pharmacy and died. No color. Then beeping! Then red, the long solid beep. A nice customer asked the pharmacist to please call customer service for me. Waited ...waited... finally went back up to get another cart. Nope 2 charging only. Then I hear the walkie - talkie. The pharmacist was just now calling! No thanks. No carts? No shoppers. Bye

Since price matching is based on manager policy, Freddy is an awful manager. I should be able to purchase something for the listed online price without having to purchase and pick up. It's literally the same thing. You really need better policies across the board.

Galt, CA store - Poorly managed store, inventory is not dependable, price labels are not accurate, and customer service on the floor is almost non-existent, unless they are stocking products, which then they make you feel like you are bothering them. Additionally, when stocking items the aisle ways are blocked and sometimes even dangerous to step through because of boxes and equipment.
