We've been customers of ocean Subaru service for a little of over 2 years. Every time we've brought it in for service we have had a pretty poor experience, most of the time it has been annoyances- they ordered the wrong part, lost paperwork, they don't communicate within the service department so you need to explain situations multiple times, etc. The last time though was extremely dangerous. We brought in our car for what we thought had to be a brake issue. Every time we would brake, we would hear a grinding sound. It was pretty clear. We brought it to Ocean, and they dismissed it saying the brake pads were at 4mm and they don't recommend changing them. at that time, and nothing was wrong with our brakes. We thought that was strange as it was pretty clear there was a terrible grinding. We asked them to please take it for a test drive to listen for the sound. A little afterwards, they called and said they took it on a drive and heard it but sometimes that happens when the car is "cold." That seemed to us to be a cop-out answer and we were annoyed. Over the next two weeks, the grinding became increasingly bad and extremely loud. We took it to Orange Coast Subaru where they promptly told us (and showed us via video sent to us) that are brakes were metal on metal- we had to replace the rotor and the pads! After all that with Ocean, our problem was fixed in a few hours (no more grinding with Orange Coast). I called ocean to let them know of the issue, left a message with their receptionist and no one called me back. Their service is horrible. Obviously their team is incompetent. I can't believe it. I would not recommend them to anyone after that experience. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Recently leased a car here and Mathew did an amazing job at going through the whole process. he was so friendly and you can just tell he truly cared about the customer's experience. I highly recommend!

I purchased my Subaru Forester here and was pleased with the prompt service. Having done my research beforehand, I knew exactly which model I wanted. Our salesman, Benito, did an excellent job showcasing the car's features without applying any pressure to make a purchase. The entire process was smooth, and we were in and out in under 3 hours, a stark contrast to my previous car-buying experience at another dealership. My only advice is to be prepared for dealership fees, which were a bit of a surprise. In hindsight, I could have been more proactive in negotiating them down, but hindsight is always 20/20. Despite the experience with the hidden fees, which I suspect is common at most dealerships, Ocean Subaru provides exceptional service and comes highly recommended for anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru. The dealership exudes professionalism and operates at the highest standard.

Mr. Housain did af great job helping me find the right car at the best price and Mark in Finance was very thorough and helpful. Ocean Subaru team is knowledgeable and patient. Great car buying experience.

Very disappointed with my recent experience at this dealership. I came in after receiving a promo in the email during president's day that offered $50 on the spot to test drive any vehicle. I then scheduled a test drive of the subaru ascent with Manny who at the time told me the promo was still valid. While the test drive ultimately went well and I would consider potentially purchasing the ascent in the future, when it came to redeeming the $50 it all went south. Manny told me that his general manager was out, but that I could leave my contact info down and that I'd receive a card in the mail. A week later, and with nothing to show I called the dealership and was informed that the promo ended a day early because they ran out of cards to mail. I felt that my time was completely wasted and that I had to drive down and take time out of my busy week for no reason. While I do love the ascent I'd be hesitant to purchase from this location when the time comes for a new car. It wouldn't be so bad if I was informed that the promo had to be prematurely ended, but I wasn't even given that courtesy.

Recently bought my second Subaru here at ocean subaru and it was by far the best experience I have had at a dealership. Kevin did amazing job he knew his cars and showed me all the tips and tricks to the car. Steven really went the extra mile with the finance portion and am very grateful for everything I got with my car. 10/10 recommend. They answered all my questions and went above and beyond. I will definitely be referring family and friends over to them. Side note they have good drinks and snacks.

Jim at the Service Desk is the best! He has been taking care of me and my WRX since my engine replacement. Always communicative and upfront on what is needed or not needed. Fair prices and they're happy to apply any discounts if they have service specials. Night and Day from other Subaru dealerships. I live far but its worth the drive for Jim and Ocean Subaru to take care of me and my car. They're my go to dealership now and refer my friends and family there. Thanks Jim!

As a new owner of a Subaru Outback, this was my first scheduled 6 mos/ 6k mi. Service. I arrived at my time of appointment and a service tech met me at my car right away. I let him know this was for oil change and 6 mo service, and also i had a few issues with vehicle that needed to be addressed. The tech took the time to look at the issues i was having, and told me it was going to take about 4 or 5 hours to correct electronics updates. I told him i lived about 13 mi away and need a ride home. Subaru called Lyft and gave me a complimentary ride home. When my car was ready to be picked up, they sent me another Lyft to my house to pick me up! Very professional and friendly service. I highly recommend the service department at Ocean Subaru of Fullerton!

I hardly ever write reviews, but Jim and Marlin deserve a shout! I can't speak for the sales side of things, but I took my Crosstrek in for a major repair and Jim was EXTREMELY helpful and communicated every step of the way. I typically feel like I'm getting scammed when I take cars in to get fixed at most mechanics/auto shops, so I want to make sure to mention Jim for his customer service and Marlin for being so thorough and precise when fixing my car.

Do you dread going to car dealerships, envisioning salespeople trained in the classic art of the bait and switch tactic? The type of sales people who make empty promises to get you in the door, wasting your time, hoping that if they keep you there long enough, you will cave out of sheer fatigue and frustration at the time lost there, never to be regained? The stupid good cop-bad cop power plays? Yeah, this is that place.The only good things here: the ladies who call and make appointments and who work in finance are friendly and professional. The service lounge is comfortable. Subaru makes a good car that tends to keep its resale value. But if you can buy it elsewhere, you should.

Just purchased a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness and the process was straightforward and simple! Prescilla assisted me through the ordering process and was very responsive with any questions I had regarding my vehicle. The vehicle arrived earlier than expected and the team worked around my schedule to help me pick up the vehicle as soon as possible!The dealership is very clean and well managed! All of the employees were friendly and very helpful whenever I visited. I definitely recommend you swinging by this dealership if you're in search of a Subaru because they will take care of you!

this dealership gives all other dealerships a BAD NAME!! They advertise their cars for one price and once you get in the door, they jack up the price by another $10K Save yourself the time and hassle and go to another place.

My husband and I recently got a new 2023 Subaru Ascent and we love it! The team that helped us was so great. We worked with Kat, Robert, Jeff and Kaine,. They answered all of our questions and never made us feel pressured. Everyone was super knowledgeable and professional. We will be suggesting this Subaru location to all of our friends!

Warning: these slimy salesmen use every dirty trick in the book, adding on fees and charges that they refuse to explain or remove. I was looking to trade up my cross trek for an Outback, and Ocean Subaru gave me a ridiculous lowball offer for my trade ($5k less than KBB), and added $9k of dealer fees to the sale. Worse, when I asked for a copy of their sales receipt detailing all of their added on fees, they refused to give me a paper copy. They claimed it "property of the dealer." I will never visit this dealer again and you should avoid at all costs!
