I have had the pleasure to work with Jeff three times. Once to refi my house when I was told it was impossible and twice to refi my mom's house. Every experience with him and his team of Tyler and LeeAnn has been stellar. They are highly organized and just simply get the job done. Currently I have him helping my sister. There just aren't enough superlatives to put out there regarding Jeff and his services. He is just simply the main man when it comes to this industry and he has my highest recommendation. I simply try and send him all my friends whenever they start talking about home loans, refi, etc. Six stars and more.

My husband and I can highly recommend Jeff and his team. We were first time homebuyers and unfamiliar with the mortgage lending process. Jeff was incredibly patient with us, walking us through every step and taking as much time as we needed to explain the details, no matter how trivial they may have seemed. He and his team were very responsive when we had questions and also proactive in reaching out to us when they needed information from us. When it came time for us to make an offer, Jeff went the extra mile, reaching out to the listing agent to vouch for us and also was able to commit to close our jumbo loan in three weeks! We're confident that these factors helped seal the deal in our favor. During the escrow process, everything went very smoothly; Jeff continued to be readily available for questions and willing to spend as much time as we needed. We closed on time and couldn't be happier with Jeff, his team, our loan terms, and our new home!

Working with Jeff and his team was a pleasure. My wife and I had a lot to learn as we set out to buy our first home. Jeff gave us a lot of sound advice to us as first time homebuyers, and his team was very responsive during the bidding process, helping us out along the way and even making our bid be more competitive by preemptively calling the seller's agent the day of bid review to assure them of our financing qualification. I highly recommend Jeff and his team to any one seeking financing for a home.

Jeff is simply amazing. The best customer service you can get with a great team around him, with the rates you'd expect by shopping around. He's very patient explaining everything you should know (internet is not enough to get all the data), as well as some of the not-so-great things about the lending process. His team does a full underwriting check instead of a simple "pre-approval" that's worth nothing these days. This allowed us to waive financing with confidence upon our offers, to make them compete with all-cash offers! Once we finally won a bid for a home (6 months later...), he and his team were super responsive and were able to close in ONLY 3 weeks and 3 days! No hidden fees, no scams, everything was always crystal clear and Jeff was around to explain any questions you had at any time of the day. Hopefully we don't need to buy another home soon, but if we do, we'll definitely chat with Jeff again!

My wife and I started out our home buying process thinking we were going to work with a different lender when we met Jeff at a Redfin home buying class. We were impressed with his knowledge and answers to questions that were asked. We spoke with him briefly afterwards and let him know our current situation -- we were first time buyers and didn't really understand the process, how to successfully secure financing, or how to event get a hold of our potential lender when we had questions. We immediately made a shift from the "pre-approval" that we received from the other lender -- in addition the lack of communication and care that we were receiving, this transition felt easy and pleasant. We spoke with Jeff on the phone so he could get more information about our home buying goals, and our current financial picture. He was extremely helpful from the first conversation, always kept in contact and went above and beyond before even becoming pre-approved! The thing that sets Jeff and his team above the rest is that you get the confidence that once you're approved, you're really approved. Having his team run through their fully underwritten pre-approval process even helped our offer stand out among the other eight that were on the table. The day the offer was submitted, Jeff was on the phone to the listing agent helping make a case as to why we were strong buyers. This touch of really did wonders. When we learned that our offer was accepted, the LA made a special note to thank Jeff for the work he did in instilling confidence that our funding and terms were sound. After mutual agreement, he and his team worked tirelessly to prepare the paperwork, make sure we understood our terms, and worked with us to ensure a timely closing date. Total closing only took 21 days! We couldn't be happier with Jeff and his team! There's no need to look further at any financial institution. This one is local, ready to help, has your back, and will go the extra mile. Thank you again, Jeff! You're amazing.

Jeff and his team are superb. From start to finish, Jeff was available to us and communicated constantly. We were first-time homebuyers using a VA Loan, and Jeff was very good at answering my questions in ways that I could comprehend and kept me informed about the progress of our loan. He even provided me advice when we were putting in offers; he knows his stuff! Everyone on the team is friendly and attentive. Going into this whole process, I had many concerns, but Jeff, Anna and Erin all put me at ease. I recommend Jeff to anyone I know who is buying a home. I would like to also mention that it was so very helpful to have done everything electronically through 1st Security Bank. I did not set foot in their office once and being able to manage upload on-line was great, since I was quite a distance from their office. I cannot say thank you enough to Jeff and his team for helping us purchase our first home; thank you, thank you, thank you!

Okay, my experience with 1st Security was incredible. Absolutely incredible. We had initially started a process through another lender recommended by Redfin, actually. During that process, which took several months, our account changed hands multiple times within the company, and the same info was requested more than once. Kind of a nightmare, but we didn't really know what else to expect. It's kind of our first rodeo, and we knew our financing was a bit complicated. However, throughout the long process, we were assured it would be okay. At the end of the day (or the 2-3 months that it took), we were told that our loan would not in fact be accepted, but that they could do a different loan (which we did not want). Because we did not want to go through with the other loan they offered, we decided to close the application process with that company and look elsewhere (and they charge us $600 for the appraisal, understandably, but it felt like a whole lot of wasted time and promises for nothing). Then... I decided to do one last effort and read up some reviews. I found Jeff's broker, and he was like a Knight on a white horse. We was honest and upfront about the loan process. When I explained our "complicated" situation, he initially said it would be best for us to wait 6 months to a year rather than get locked into something that wouldn't be in our best interest. It was obvious he was listening to me and our situation rather than the $$/business he could get from us. That is not the end of our story, my friends. Jeff found out a little more about our situation and was able to confirm that there was a very good chance he could successfully get us the loan we wanted. He knew his details of loan processing so thoroughly that he knew of a small loophole that granted us the ability to qualify for this particular loan without the waiting period. Because of this, he was able to get us locked in (at a lower rate than previously, might I add), lower closing costs than the prior company, get the paperwork started and completed within a few days (it helps that I had it mostly all ready to go, but I was never slow about responding to the previous company as well -- when requested, I had the items back to them within a few hours), and closed our loan within a month. The appraiser they used was more accurate as well. I would absolutely recommend this company to my friends, acquaintances, and even my less-than-friendly people I know. Got our first home mortgage through Jeff - gave us a great rate and walked us through every step of the way. I have a hectic work-day schedule and Jeff was always able to accommodate and keep us updated. His follow up is lightning fast - text, calls, e-mails, you name it. Works with a great team that got our appraisal, title documents etc. all worked out around our schedule. (The notary came to us at 8:30pm!) He loves what he does and it shows. It's for all these reasons that we ended up doing a no-fee no-cost (seriously!) refinance with Jeff a little less than a year later when he shot us an email saying it was a good time to do so. We just closed today and the process couldn't have been smoother. Definitely recommend Jeff for your mortgage needs.

To start with, he went above and beyond to answer our questions (even at night and on weekends). He came up with creative solutions to accommodate our unique loan timeline constraint, which enabled us to get into a home sooner. Working with Jeff on my refinance was so great. He was thorough, nice, patient and transparent concerning the entire process. Answered all of my questions and in a way that I could easily understand. I am so thankful that I was referred to him and will definitely do the same if any one asks me for a referral. Not many people would call their clients from the hospital after the birth of their first kid....but Jeff did. He was readily available to answer questions and respond to concerns even while he was away or on vacation. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with what we were walking in to and was right there when things didn't go quite right. When the appraiser put a halt on things 30 minutes after we had signed our documents, Jeff was right there making sure we didn't go through more setbacks than we needed to. He was excellent and I would recommend him to anyone that wants a positive experience, someone that can close on time, communicates tirelessly and is all around a great guy. After we closed we found ourselves missing Jeff, so we are having him over for dinner one of these days. Jeff for the win.

There's a good reason Jeff is getting this many 5 star reviews. The minute I first called him about a pre-approval all the way until my house closed, he was available to me at all hours and made me feel like his number 1 priority. When you're dealing with getting your dream home with your life savings, and signing a 30 year contract, having a ton of questions and concerns- working with a loan officer helping me each step of the way took all the stress out of it. Jeff is an amazing broker! He was a critical guide through the options and process of financing my first home. He met with me in person at his office, asked me about my vision for home ownership, goals, and financial situation to match me to the best mortgage. Jeff transparently provided me with a number of options and helped me chose the right one for me. The rates and packages where all extremely competitive.
