Gilding the Lily is a fascinating shop with about a million and one beads, buttons, findings, vintage jewelry and other fun stuff. Be prepared to linger. The owner is amazing and gives great advice on possible options. Call ahead, not sure of open schedule.

Has to be the most beautiful and special shop I have ever been to. I have been going to Gilding for years and if I lived closer, I would be there every week. Nancy and her daughter are the sweetest, welcoming and most talented ladies around. If you haven't been, go!! Again and again. They always have the most amazing treasures.

I can't believe that this jewel has existed in my back yard for so long and I didn't know about it. The great news is I stumbled upon it two weeks ago. My first trip I was there for almost three hours. Every time I turned my head I saw something else that grabbed my attention. It's not a bead store exclusively but the beads are beyond compare. It's not a "craft" store but more of an outstanding resource for those who have been creating wonderful things for years or the novice who wants to begin with greatness. You will see things that will stretch your imagination greatly. The owner has an eye for the distinctive and is extremely discerning. The antique beads alone are enough to set you back on your heels. Gilding the Lily will inspire you with their incredible selections. This is a must see, put Gilding the Lily on the top of your list.

I've been to this store several times. The owner is very knowledgeable and kind. She always wears a mask and requires masks to be worn in store, which is great considering the circumstances we are living in. The store is full of everything you can imagine: buttons, ribbon, thread, appliqués, jewelry, paper, etc. etc. All vintage. I spend several hours in here sometimes just looking at it all. You can open up cabinets and doors, finding even more goodies in every nook and cranny. Seriously, this place is an adventure and a treasure trove. If you are into unique and one-of-a-kind pieces, set aside a couple hours and support this amazing local business!

Dont miss out on this great little shop! If you're an artist, collector, seamstress, crafter or just love to look at or collect vintage beautiful accessories and accoutrements, trims, laces, buttons this place is for you! It's just so lovely! Right off the courtyard and lots of great dining nearby and parking! Service is the utmost professional and knowledgeable!!!! Deserves 6 stars!
