This location is chronically behind and I was not put in a chair to donate on time during a single visit in 2023. On my last visit, I was seen well over an hour after my appointment time despite being almost 30 minutes early to my appointment. On my most recent visit I came about 10 - 20 minutes later hoping I would not spend as much time in the waiting room and once again I was finally seen well over an hour after my appointment time. Any convenience of location is dismissed by their lack of organization. I don’t remember it ever being this bad at their old location. I hope the lack of timeliness and poor organization by this donation center has not driven people to stop donating blood in general.

Love this place. It’s a Great atmosphere. The nurses & volunteers are All Wonderful. I started my journey of donating blood since my senior year back in high school (1982-1983) and during the decades gone by tried to keep up, but unfortunately one forgets about donating during them times, but lo & behold there Pop up Blood Donating Busses showed up in my neighborhood & I got back into the swing of things ??? ??? I’m so Happy that I’ve been able to donate again because I know firsthand just how much Donating blood is so much needed. Anybody reading this is who has been contemplating donating blood, PLEASE DO SO. YOU COULD BE THAT ONE PERSON IN SAVING SEVERAL LIVES with your 1 donation. It’s easy & pretty quick.? JESUS ? LOVES YOU

Most of the (regular) staff are friendly and professional. Center is still fairly spotless as it's new.Plenty of parking. Make sure to book your appointment before coming in. Open seven days a week for whole blood and platelets donations.

My appointment was for 11:15 today June 30th. I chose this day specifically to donate in my husband’s memory as it’s his birthday!!I got there right on time, checked in at the front waited for a bit, was told I needed to check in again as there was a mistake with my name. It was stated to me it happens when you have a hyphenated name, funny never happened before. I’ve donated blood for years!!I went back to check in again and sat down to wait again. I’ve been waiting about 25 minutes at this point. A man came in to donate and was called in almost immediately?? When I asked why, the person at the front stated it was because I was doing a Power Red donation and they had to clean the machine. So I’m wondering since I still haven’t had my intake assessment to test hemoglobin, why would they not ensure it was high enough to use that machine??Finally, after 35 minutes I get called in for the intake assessment. He asked my name & birthdate then asked if I’d donated before, I stated I’ve been donating for years, showed him proof with my app information. He stated I needed to go back to the front again and get it figured out as it showed on their computer that I was a 1st time donation???By this time I knew my blood pressure was probably high!! I told them I was done and left!! I did verify with Red Cross directly that they had all my correct information

Easy to find location. Lots of parking. Location has tons of natural light. The staff member who did my intake was very rude. Long black hair, braces, fair complexion, smug expression. Name withheld. She asked questions rudely and didn't communicate, like what's my hemoglobin and blood pressure. Wanted me to show her where the temp probe was in my mouth (under my tongue obviously ?). She asked me multiple times condescendingly like I didn't understand directions.I called her out for being rude - in a quiet manner, and she ups and leaves like a petulant child. I can hear her blatantly talking about me to her colleague(s).It doesn't take a lot to be kind. Do better. The redemption arc of my experience was the woman who took over. Angelica the supervisor, was so kind, warm, and lovely. She's been in the Red Cross organization for 20+ years. What an asset.

It's been awhile since I donated & I'm so glad I came. When choosing where to donate I selected this location thinking it was another location in Fullerton I've been to. Apparently the last location closed & this location is new. Apparently 3 months it has been open. Anyways I'm rating a 5 star because Lisa was just amazing. Shout out to Lisa :) In my personal experience I've donated about 10+ 15+ times. I'm not sure I don't keep track but anyways by far out of all my experiences in donating blood this has been the best one so far. I highly encourage my fellow Yelpers to think about donating. The need of donor blood is always there. I take great pride & feel so good after donating. To know my donation has a possibility of helping others really motivates me to keep on donating. Aside from feeling good about myself there are health benefits in donating as well. Before you donate you are given a mini physical which includes checking your blood pressure, pulse, & hemoglobin. You'll also get STI testing as well. Now to those that don't have a clue about why this is done, it's simple before your blood can actually be utilized by someone else they first make sure you don't have infectious diseases. Another awesome fact is that you'll get an email notification when your blood is actually used & the location it's used at. I've attached a few of the emails I've received as proof. I do however use the Red Cross App, I'm not sure if they only send this email alert to those on the app on that I'm not sure. I encourage you all to donate. I have a loved one that when they were alive needed donor blood, that has only fueled me to keep on donating because you just never know when someone you love will need it or you for that matter. It's also the patriotic thing to do in my opinion. Lord knows our military has needed donor blood, law enforcement, etc you name it. Be a hero & donate you'll feel good inside & get treated to some snacks afterwards

I tried this location for the first time today. I was not too happy with Maritza to say the least. I did not get the name of the gentleman who helped me first, but he was very nice. He was not from this location and was just filling in for the day. I am used to the stellar treatment at an alternate location, but this one is much closer to my house. Needless to say, I will be making the trek to get better "customer service" (read basic human kindness) in the future. I have been known to have been deferred in the past for low hemoglobin so, it's not surprising that it happened today. Maritza came to do my recheck and told me that 11.5 is extremely low and I might want to get that checked out. I informed her that I had already had it checked out and the doctor said I'm fine and mentioned that he said he's aware that the Red Cross requires ridiculously high numbers to donate blood. She became defensive and said that 11.5 is very low and females should have a 12.0. I again told her that I had been checked out and my numbers are fine and she continued to push that my numbers are extremely low stating "believe me, I have seen a lot." I told her that she can continue to push but I've already been checked out and I'm fine. She then got an attitude and said "well, if your numbers are fine for you, then that's fine..."and I stopped listening as she continued to push about my numbers being dangerously low. I wish that zero stars were an option, but I guess the one star is appropriate to give some consideration for the gentleman who was filling in at this location because he was extremely nice!

I thought about it a bit on whether or not do this review but I felt it was important to share my experience in hopes that someone responsible will see it and improve the experience for others. This facility looks brand new so everything was very clean and it looked very nice and orderly inside, so that was not the issue. I have donated blood 30+ times so have fair amount of experience at other Red Cross blood donation centers as well as pop up ones. This one by far is the worse. I had an 845 appointment and got there at 840. When I got there, the door was locked so someone came to open the door to let me in. I think this is the new set up. Once I got checked in I went to sit and wait. There were 2 other donors on the beds and about 4 or 5 employees that I can see inside not counting the 2 at the door. While waiting, NO ONE ever coming to check on me or say anything to me and I was even switching seats, walking up and down hoping to catch attention but got nothing. I want to note that I can see people chatting with each other, sitting at the desks, walking around, the only person I saw really working was the nurse manning the donors' progress. When it got to 20 mins of waiting and I asked how much longer and I told her that I actually had another engagement so really need to get this done as I needed to leave by 930. The person who checked me in said let me check with the head nurse. Then she came back and said, they will take you right now, 1-2 mins. I went back to waiting, still looking inside and saw no movement from the 4-5 people. The time came and since still no one came for me. I told them I had to leave and I will just reschedule. No one seemed to care. I just want to say...I am a donor. It took me 26mins to drive to this location on a Saturday morning which means a hour round trip. Not that I expect anything special but a greeting would be nice. Some attention would be nice, especially when you have donors waiting for an extended time, and it was obvious the place was not busy, not even a bit. I want to note the so call head nurse passed by me, the only person sitting in the waiting area twice and didn't say a thing to me, not even a hello. As mentioned I've donated 30+times and never have I have been treated this way. I am a dedicated donor and believe in this cause so I will continue to donate but NEVER will I come back to THIS location. To this location's responsible person, we are donors. We don't expect anything in return for what we give but besides our blood we are giving our time. Treating us well or even simple things like a greeting or smile would be nice.

I started donating an hour after my appointment time, most of which involved waiting for my name to be called. Don’t even know why I make appointments anymore
