As you can see by the past reviews this is not a place you want to buy a car from. It's a auto repair shop that sells cars that are in not always good shape I'd think twice before I can here for a car . There is other car dealerships in the area and try to find a car there.

Most mechanics get a bad rap for being dishonest, and while there is some truth to that out there and all pricing is not created equal, you wont find that here. I have an old 2004 corolla, and I had previous gotten a quote from a friends mechanic, the Corolla would need $2000 worth of work to keep it maintained. So I went to Yelp and messaged a few places with what the previous mechanic had recommended. And S&K got back to me the quickest...now while S&K wasn't exactly close to me, I decided to give it a shot and took my car there. I was helped fairly quickly and we talked about everything the previous mechanic had quoted me on...there was a few things that he said he wouldn't recommended. I left my car with them at about 9am and had it all done and ready to be picked up at 330pm. So all in all I got a new radiator, oil change, and battery for way less than the $2000 I was quoted! I

While I was out running errands, I realized that I had a slow leak in one of my tires and could no longer drive safely on it. I took my car to S&K which was the closest garage in a mild panic. I had a lot to do that day and wasn't sure how much this would throw my schedule off so I was pretty irritated. I don't recall his name but the older gentleman in the shop said I should leave the car with him so he can take a look and he'll give me a call. I live within walking distance so I went home defeated and stressed out...I wasn't sure if I was going to have to replace the entire tire and blow $$$ that I wasn't expecting to spend. Surprisingly he called me back in 20 min. and said not only did he take a look, he fixed the problem and that I could come pick it up. Turns out it was a screw embedded in the tire and just needed a patch which cost me a grand total of $25. Long story short I went and picked my car back up and resumed my errands for the day with hardly any change in the schedule. I appreciated it that he made me feel less panicky and took care of the problem quickly. Prices were very fair as well; I'd be back if I have any other car issues. Just an added bonus that it's so close-by.

Initially we went to this place in hope that they could fix our first problem (which was our transmission) but then they said that they pretty much do anything except for transmission, and with their help (his son, Veraj(?) who I frequently talk here in yelp & JV the main mechanic) they were able to recommend us at another shop who specializes in transmission. Today we got our first general maintenance at this place, and to our worry because JV seemed filled up today, he was able to make it work despite that having said, and they even extended their closing just enough time for our car to be done & fixed. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and families or even acquaintances if they asks. PS. They're pretty fair with their pricing too. Thank you for all the help :)

I took my car here Saturday morning 8am to get my breaks serviced and it was the best experience I've had when it comes to getting service for my cars. VJ has the best customer service, the price was great and had my car done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his services!

Responded quickly to my request for a quote. Provided the lowest estimate for a new starter. 3 other estimates were provided. When we arrived, service was efficient friendly and speedy. Car was ready quicker than estimated with no issue since. I reccomend this shop!

VJ is a cool honest mechanic which is difficult to find now a days. He diagnosed my car free of charge and didn't try to upcharge me for other repairs. I'll be taking my vehicle to him for any problems I have.

I don't know how this guy got such great reviews. I said I wanted a new battery because voltage was running low and I also wanted to get the car's computer scanned for fault codes. When VJ saw the different lights that were on, he said "that means you have a shitty car, checking the computer is not going to help you. The car needs to be checked out. I tried to explain to him what my previous BMW mechanic advised me before I moved from that area and the mechanic got argumentative. I thanked him for his time and he went back to sleeping in his car, which is what he was doing when I pulled up and an elderly shirtless man came out and started yelling for him. It was a bizarre experience. Maybe he was grumpy from being woken up, but that's no reason to be rude to a potential customer. And calling my car "shitty," c'mon who does that?!?

Easily one of the most honest repair shops and mechanic I've ever met (and my dad was a mechanic, I grew up around them). I have now taken my (used) car to VJ twice and each time he has been able to diagnose the needed repairs accurately. Most importantly, VJ has been patient explaining the needed repairs to me and has never once pressured me to get all the repairs done at once. He has always explained to me which repairs are the most pertinent to complete so that my cars isn't compromise. I initially messaged him through yelp and he has always gotten back to me quickly. Everytime I drop my car off, he always checks in with me before starting any repairs and he is upfront about the cost estimates. Overall, I'm a satisfied returning customer. I'm glad that I found VJ on Yelp and that the reviews were accurate-which is why I'm writing this review. I moved to OC recently, so finding an honest mechanic has been a blessing as I adjust to living here. Don't hesitate to reach out to him!

I've had VJ work on two repairs for me. Before I came in each time I had done my research. Made sure I got quotes from other repair shops and he was always giving me fair prices, usually the cheapest option too. He's always been honest and quick with his work. After my first repair with him I felt that he was reliable enough to trust him with all my future repairs as well.

I contacted VJ through Yelp and he was quick to answer my questions. He offered to diagnose my problem for free and give me a good deal if i needed repair. The work that needed to be done ended up being more expensive than I thought because I let my brakes go so long. In the end my husband ended up doing it, but VJ was courteous, professional, and didn't try to talk me onto doing the work, or make me feel bad for not choosing to have the work done. I ever need work done I will go back there.

I needed to get a brake job and what I thought might be ball joint issue. When I brought it to VJ last week, he looked at my car and gave me a great price on brake/rotor replacements (I already knew that I needed to replace my rotors soon). He also test drove it and confirmed that I did not need a ball joint replacement. I've been driving my car around for the past few days and it feels great. Thank you so much VJ for your kind and quick service. Seriously, he is the kindest guy. I will return to get my other rotors and battery replaced soon!
