Shout out to Matt at Esoteric Woodcraft for making a high bar top for our backyard patio. We recently upgraded our backyard/patio with multiple TV’s and we came to Matt with a concept of having him build a bar top built on casters for us. We wanted a bar table that was easily movable on wheels for the ability to be in different locations in our patio. We discussed with Matt our design concept and he discussed the need for stability and he came up with a fantastic table design that we absolutely love. It’s a 6 foot bar table that fits 6 bar stools and looks great in our patio and is a great entertaining piece for our family and friends. Thank you Matt and your Esoteric Woodcraft building team for such a great patio item for us!

A Home Transformed: From Old-fashioned House to Modern Home We recently decided to give my entire house a much-needed makeover. We wanted a brand-new kitchen, 3 updated bathrooms, 4 fresh bedrooms, new flooring, and a revamped iron stairway. Esoteric Woodcraft, came highly recommended to us by our flooring contractor. But it was when we met Matt, the owner, that we knew he was the right person to oversee the whole project. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and had a genuine passion for his work. In just a little over 3 months, working closely with our designer, Matt and his team turned our outdated 1972 house into a stunning modern dream home. The best new feature is the high-quality cabinetry that can be found throughout the entire house. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are top-notch, making our home feel luxurious and stylish. What really stood out to me was how reliable, collaborative, and flexible Matt was throughout the entire process. He was always there when I needed him, ready to answer any questions or concerns I had. Even if he couldn't pick up the phone, he would send a quick text letting me know he'd call back. That level of responsiveness made me feel valued as a customer. Now that we're settled into our new home, we couldn't be happier. The transformation is truly remarkable, and we owe it all to Matt and his team at Esoteric Woodcraft. If you're looking to upgrade your home and want a contractor who is not only skilled but also reliable and responsive, I highly recommend Matt and his company. They turned our vision into reality, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Matt and his crew just finished a beautiful remodel of our guest bathroom. The craftsmen were professional, on-time and conscientious. Any issues that arose were handled quickly and resolved to our satisfaction. The process, from start to finish, was a great experience and the result exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Esoteric Woodcraft and look forward to working with Matt on another project soon.

I usually do not right many reviews however in this case I feel very strongly about what we experienced. I was referred to Matt through my manager at work who had known Matt for a long time. We did not know too much about construction but wanted to do a kitchen remodel and new deck with some room upgrades new paint and new roof. We initially went to Matt for the kitchen and we became very comfortable with him and he became our general contractor on the entire job. Esoteric build their own cabinets and the workmanship has been excellent. Few other points, if you want someone who is ethical as well as honest, Matt is the guy. We were afraid to pick a contractor who we didn't know as this is a large project with a financial commitment . I can say at the end of it that based on our initial estimates we came very close and in fact matt was very flexible on a number of things. Any issue he was responsive and would come out to the site immediately. The job is now complete and we could not be happier. We also really wanted an island and the initial plans we felt we couldn't fit it in. After the demolition matt called us and said we can totally fit an island into the area. We were thrilled. In addition, the folks that he had working for him and his contacts are trust worthy and ethical as well as hardworking as what we have come to know of Matt I would recommend him to any one looking not only to do a kitchen remodel but as a general contractor as well that you will find friendly and trustworthy A number of contractors get exhausted by the number of revisions that are made and revised estimates. Due to our lack of understanding of construction, we went back to revisions multiple times. Matt was terrrific through this process and extremely patient.

Just a follow up on my original review of Esoteric Woodcraft. We had a small issue that needed to be addressed and Matt responded to my message the same day. They took care of it in a timely fashion and this just reinforced the fact that we chose the right company to build our wall unit. You owe it to yourself to call Esoteric before you start your next project. Matt and his company definitely have integrity and stand behind their workmanship.

I used Matt and his team to do a complete remodel of all builtins in my extra bedroom. I have a beautiful desk with overhead cabinet and 4 file drawers, with the most storage allowed by the space I have for my office. I love my new desk and have so much more storage space than I had before. And almost as important for a small beach house is the full-sized Murphy bed with storage on each side. I needed a place to sleep 2 people that is out of the way when not in use. My niece came to stay and loved the bed and the room! There is so much more storage in the room than I had with a twin bed. And Matt and his installer are expert at Murphy beds which was an added plus for me. It is beautiful when closed and just as beautiful when its open and in use. I also used Matt's electrician Danny and AV expert Tommie who provided not only the service I needed for the room but other issues I needed to have taken care of . They all completed my "Honey-do" lists! Matt and I set a schedule and as it turned out I was pretty ill during all the construction. Matt and his team were respectful, kind, clean, quiet when they could be and started a few days early and finished on time.There were times I could not be involved and gave Matt my full confidence to offer suggestions and make decisions when I was not able to. I gave him my full trust and he did not disappoint. I can honestly say I will use any one of Matt or his team for any future needs I have without reservation. He is the best contractor I have ever used.

I was recommended to Esoteric Woodcraft by a friend who is also a contractor. He said, "Matt builds the most beautiful cabinets in the business." After saving for my kitchen remodel for nearly 10 years, that's exactly what I wanted. Matt not only handled my cabinets, but he also covered the general contracting, a service I highly recommend. While I subcontracted a few elements, I was quite happy with the crew that Matt provided for counters, tile, plumbing, and electrical. Matt's crew and subcontractors are professional, courteous, prompt, and detail-oriented. They listened to my wishes and worked with them to design a kitchen that I love more every day. And, yes, Matt's cabinets honestly are the most beautiful in the industry. He even let me design my perfect shade of aqua wash for the finish, so my kitchen is unique and a true reflection of my tastes, rather than a copy of whatever is popular at the moment. His commitment to detail even extended beyond the end of the job and the last payment, which is a true measure of professionalism. The timeline he offered at the start of the contract was accurate within three days. This is key, because a commitment such as a full kitchen tear-down is daunting, and nobody wants to also fear that the contractor will vanish midway through. That is not a worry with Esoteric. While other contractors may promise a cut-rate price, you'll likely pay for it later in poor craftsmanship, or other unhappy surprises. Matt's prices are consistent with the industry, and very fair, considering the level of craftsmanship in the cabinets. I've received heaps of compliments from friends, including one that said, "Allison, your house looks like it belongs in Better Homes and Gardens." Oh yes, totally worth it. Make the call.

I would go 10 outta 10 stars if I could! Absolutely one of the best investments I have ever made - because of the appearance and increased functionality, I only wish I had gotten this done sooner! In all honesty I am not at all sure I would be so thrilled with my cabinetry if I ended up going with anyone other than Esoteric Woodcraft! A truly satisfying translation and if you you're in the market, use these guys! I genuinely recommend this company.
