It’s been many a years since I’ve visited the hideout since being away at battle. Upon walking back in recently I was greeted with warm smiles and even some fresh crab cakes and milk. The atmosphere was magical and the men helping were helpful with their exquisite help. The place was clean, the comics were vast and plentiful and the toilet worked as expected. I knew I would leave with a plentiful bounty and at least 3 more crab cakes. The owner Glynness was dancing and singing to the other guests and they tossed roses and gold coins at her feet and Barrack Obama was there. I was unable to retrieve an autograph due to the excessive line but the simple glance she gave me very well may change the course of my life. The only negative I have to say was that her husband Jonathon was not there because I waited years to see this dashing man carved from marble. I needed to tell him that his workout advice sent me tumbling down a trail of muscle and attention from the lady’s I’ve never seen, if it were not for him I wouldn’t have been able to save all those babies on that plane. To say the hideout changes lives isn’t enough, I vote the Comic Book Hideout for president 2024.

I stopped in on a family vacation to Orange County and was blown away. I found some older Spider-Man titles I was looking for. But had a great chat with guy working (wish I asked him his name) and will be returning the next time I am in the area. I am jealous of anyone who is able to go there regularly.

When we moved here this became my local comics shop and it's been that since. (Though there wasn't much competition. The other place I'd been to didn't have the breadth of selection that I was used to.) This was the last physical place of business I went to before locking down for the pandemic. Quarantine sent me off the schedule of visiting the comic shop once a week like I had for most of my adult life, though it's been years since I've bought comics regularly, but it's always been nice to stop in when I can. Now this is my place for occasional gifts, and they usually have a great book I can give. Not much for back issues, as much as they try -- no place short of a warehouse could be -- but they've got other stuff like Magic TG cards and toys, so there's always something neat to find. The interior is stimulating and lots of stuff for comics and pop culture fans. And Glynis and Funky are great folks who run a friendly shop, so this is surely a gem in Fullerton.

Funky & the rest of the team were so helpful. They helped me find what I came in for, and introduced me to new, great comics that I was unfamiliar with. You can tell this store and everyone in it has a genuine love for comics. Best comic store I’ve been to yet. The perfect place to visit after attending comic con this year. Kept the comic high going haha

My new favorite comic book store. I had a great experience here today. I'm getting back into reading and had just previously visited another store that was very dissatisfying. Coming in here was the complete opposite and a breath of fresh air. The store is aesthetically great and what you'd hope a comic book store to be. I was warmly greeted immediately upon entering. Employee Nate gauged to see if I needed help finding anything and I let him know I was getting back into reading. I had asked about a specific run and he showed me exactly where to start. He then recommended a few others and was very personable and not overbearing. I left with a couple new books one of which Nate had recommended. This place was excellent and I will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for a good local comics store, this is the one!

Owner & worker were very kind. Cool looking shop. I went into sell a few boxes of comics. I know almost nothing about comics & explained this to the Buyer. Was shocked by Owners 1st offer of only $40! Then she came up to a final high price of $100. She really downplayed the value knowing that I had almost zero knowledge about comics. I was hesitant & decided it was not enough & had more value than that, it just didnt feel right the way she talked about the value. I purchased 100 card backs & 2 short boxes for $36. I donated 3 non valuable boxes to her store & left. I Drove to PHAT COMICS just 8 min away and buyer there offered $650 FOR THE SAME COMICS(not counting boxes I donated) & told me that I could of purchased the empty short boxes & card backs for only $25 at this store. PHAT Comics is the place to go if you want a honest offer if selling your comics. The buyer there was very transparent, honest & didnt downplay value. I sold at PHAT & wont be going back to the Hideout. This is not ment yo be a bad review towards the Hideout, it really is a good shop. Just dont sell your comics there unless u know what ur doing, they will take advantage of any lack of knowledge you have for their gain.Everyone has their hustle, but using someone's weakness is lame.

Great shop, with a great selection. The layout is very well thought out and easy to navigate. Very friendly as well. Maybe the best comic shop I've been in.

Smells horrible in here and every single book is either priced as though it was in better condition or just simply overpriced. It was so bad that unlike the other reviews, I sincerely care 0% for any response from the store. The new comics they carry have limited variants and aren’t as up to date in comparison to my LCS that is the same distance from where I live. While the store looks nice, this is a comic newbie’s dream and a comic collector/reader’s last option.P.S. The dog was cute, she gets a 5 star from me. Plus, her owner was very nice.

DO NOT COME FOR MAGIC THE GATHERING, Decent store for comics. The magic section is lackluster and an afterthought. No weekly community for modern, standard or commander. For your magic the gathering fix go somewhere else. The staff are ok. The woman worker is very facetious with a patronizing attitude. This may be the place for comics but DO NOT COME HERE FOR MAGIC THE GATHERING.
