After coming across a disheartening review from another parent regarding one of my children's beloved teachers, I want to share my positive experience. Both of my kids are in Ms. Villaruel and Mr. Smith's class and they absolutely love going to school. Thanks to their efforts and Arborland's remarkable curriculum, my kids have made significant progress and grown both academically and personally. Ms. Villaruel and Mr. Smith both do a great job at creating a nurturing and supportive environment such that my kids adore school - in fact they are so sad the year is coming to an end! I'd also like to acknowledge my daughter's teachers from last year, Ms. Currey and Ms. Jardon - they were amazing and played a pivotal role in nurturing my daughter's confidence and academic progress. This is now our third year at Arborland and we are so happy with the amazing and dedicated teachers and staff!

I feel compelled to write a review after reading a statement coming from a parent that was quite awful and disappointing regarding one of my kid's favorite teacher. My son absolutely loves going to school and it is in large part because of his 2 amazing teachers, Ms Villaruel and Mr Smith. In addition to teaching, they have done a great job bringing up his confidence, motivating him and yes Mr Smith even plays soccer with them. It shows to me how much he's committed to the kids development by bonding with them, not only on an academic level but also on a personal level. My son and us parents have great respect for his teachers in part because to that.Mr Smith's presentation at school was fun, well thought off and entertaining. It was not a competition, all kids were rewarded one way or another. Someone complaining about the reward and getting their reward last should brush up on the Montessori philosophy or maybe consider another teaching method.

Both my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son attend this Montessori and we have had such a great experience so far at Arborland! The teachers, staff and school curriculum as well as the after school activities are probably the best I've seen. We love it so much that I decided to continue my daughter education here for elementary school as well. I am so grateful for this incredible school and teachers for giving my children a quality , well rounded education. My daughter goes to school excited for the day and loves her teachers Ms. Villaruel and Mr. Smith. It was a hard decision to pursue private school education instead of public school but my husband and I are quite happy seeing my daughter's progress over the past year in 1st grade. I also have to give a special shout out to Ms. Cole and Ms. Rokosz in classroom 1 who have been such a guiding force for both of my kids. I have recommended this school to all of my friends as well as my sister.

My son has been attending this school for 10 years and he was expelled for saying to another child i don't care. A child said to my son "xyz" about another child and he responded with I don't care. It was said between him and another child no teachers were present. It was a private conversation. When my son came home he had a blank fix it ticket with no text no teacher comments. He was asked to fill out the fix it ticket and return it. After my son discussed the matter my husband over heard and threw the fix it ticket away. My husband explained that it was not a punishable offense to say i don't care. I agreed and for that he was expelled 30 days prior to his 6th grade graduation. He was later allowed to return after my husband threatened to sue the school and explained how he felt my son was being picked on by his teacher because of a racial or religious bias. He was not allowed to return to Arborland Montessori after 10 years of being a student their for saying i dint care. Its incredible how Dr.Chen felt it was alright to throw him out for such a minor offense. Shame on you Dr. Chen rather than making it a teachable moment you turned it into a huge blunder! I also did not appreciate you saying the teachers were scared of my husband and that was careless and untrue! I thought we were family after all this time and family does not abandon each other the way you abandon us. My son 3 daughters will grow stronger from your lack of leadership.

We are so grateful that Arborland found Ms. Garcia such an excellent teacher. We really appreciate that Arborland takes it serious and responsible in recruiting teachers. I have to say Ms. Garcia is the best teacher we've ever met. She is super responsible in taking care of the children's study and safety. The first week Garcia came to Room 5, she sent emails to parents asking about each child's basic information and hobbies to help her get to know them as soon as possible. That's what we really appreciate. What's more, whenever we ask Ms. Garcia questions or send email, she always reply us quickly and in very detail. Since Garcia came to Room 5, Our daughter has always brought home some of works she practiced at school. Every time we went to pick up our daughter, Ms. Garcia would make sure that we had signed the sign-in form before she would let the child leave, and she would always hand the child over to the parents. Our daughter always tells us how much she likes Ms. Garcia. From the notes and pictures on Transparentclassroom, we can tell that children had abundant activities in school and they really had fun. Our daughter enjoyed the circle time very much - all kids sit in a circle and watch Ms. Garcia to show them the use of learning materials. Again, we are very grateful to Arborland and Ms. Garcia for your excellent work. We talked to other parents on the children's day, and they all felt the same way. We all thought Ms. Garcia were doing a great job. Parents said they can see the marked improvement in the kids' handwriting and reading..

My son started at Arborland this year and we love it! His teacher, Ms. Garcia, is amazing as she is very organized and kind. She has helped my son grow so much in a short period of time. The learning environment she creates for the students is very enriching. Definitely would recommend Ms. Garcia!

This review is long overdue. My kids have been attending Arborland (Hughes campus) since 2016. My daughter started at 18 months and we couldn't be more happy. All the teachers are caring and great, but I need to mention that we have a deeper love for Ms. Sayra, Ms. Charleen, Ms. Janice, Ms. Gina and Ms. Bree. These amazing educators have been such an important part of our children's lives. They have taught them kindness, patience and independence. We love them and we will be forever grateful. Thank you Arborland teachers and administrators!

I absolutely love Arborland Montessori! My experience with this school started when I attended as a preschool and elementary student in the 90's. Once I became a mom, I knew I wanted to bring my 3 kids back to Arborland and to my surprise many of the teachers that were so wonderful to me are still teaching! I am a huge fan of the Montessori method and feel so relieved to know my children are in this wonderful, caring, nurturing, creative environment. What I also love MOST is how attentive the staff are to each child's different needs, learning styles and more. My son and daughter (different ages) were placed in the same classroom (thanks to mixed age classrooms), and they both thrived and continue to thrive. My youngest is 2 years old and is in the toddler room and absolutely LOVES all her teachers. Due to my work schedule she is in full-time plus extended hours and I feel so incredibly relieved to know she is in the best care. She goes to school excited and comes back home happy and relaxes. A huge plus is that my 2 year old has been working on potty training with her teachers at school and shows so much interest in it on her own at home, I mean what?! Amazing! Ok i love the Arborland community, staff, teachers SO very much and would highly recommend all campuses and all grades to all other parents who are looking for a stellar school in the Fullerton area.

I don't even know where to start! My 3 year old son started going to Arborland about 9 months ago and his dad and I couldn't be more appreciative of all staff especially Ms.Vilaverde and Ms.Garcia. Ms.V and Ms.Garcia's unconditional love and care to our child is shown in Aven's behavior on a daily basis. He knows so much for his age. He is happy. He is very independent. He communicates with others very well and this is all coming from an environment he spends the majority of his time during the week, school. Ms.V and Ms.Garcia; we love you dearly and we appreciate you and the time you put in for all children especially our son.

Great teachers that care and can communicate with the parents. Plus the end of the year programs and performance are a blast!

We love Arborland. We started sending our then kindergartner here at Arborland during Covid. We weren't confident about how our public school was going to be able to respond to all the changes, so we moved her around September, a few weeks into school. Plus, we were all tired of Zoom already. We did some research and saw that the school had been open the entire year, even during Covid, and that they had a lot of safety protocols in place to keep everyone as safe as possible. I really appreciated that. It's been a year so far, and we are now starting summer school full-time. My 4 year old also started this year towards the end of the school year. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. He was angry that I picked him up early (I wanted to transition him slowly so started him off part-time) and he was angry that he couldn't stay the whole day! So from day 2 he went full-time. It helped immensely that he and his sister were both in the same class. Their class was a mix of 3 year olds to 6 year olds (pre-kinder). I just love everything about this school. The staff are WONDERFUL. I absolutely adore Brianna. She is incredibly helpful, super sweet, professional, and just a delight to talk to! Things were getting pretty hectic during the first of the summer and there were lots of new parents in the office. She kept her cool, was very kind and helpful, and even knew which person was in line first! She is amazing. She really was the tipping point for us choosing ARborland in the first place. Second of all, I really appreciate the principal, Dr. Chen. She is very thoughful, intelligent, and open with us. I think she has made very wise decisions during Covid, and she makes sure she keeps us in the loop with her emails. I really love that. Third and most importantly, MY KIDS LOVE ARBORLAND. Both my kids don't want me to pick them up early anymore!! They are having such a blast during summer classes. What more do I need? In addition... I initially wrote this email because I was thankful for the front office and the staff. I'm also incredibly thankful for Ms. Chas, a teacher for Room 5 (for preschool and kinder). She is thoughtful, warm, kind, and loving towards my kids. She has given them so much encouragement, and she is one of the biggest reasons my son and daughter transitioned so well into a new school. We all appreciate her hard work, and just how much thought she puts into making sure the kids are doing well. She makes them feel safe, appreciated, and loved. She is wonderful!

My pre-k child was enrolled in the remote learning program with Mrs. Villaverde during this pandemic. With all the adjustments teachers and administration had to make through this season, I applaud this school for all their efforts. My son had such an enriching experience overall. I was really surprised how well his teacher was able to engage such young children to focus and actively participate through zoom classes. Through Mrs. Villaverde's guidance and support, my child learned not only advanced academic skills, but also self confidence, manners, and independence. Thank you Mrs. V. for your continuous encouragement and support to all your students and families. We are so grateful for great teachers like you!

Still love the school! We sure did miss not having Ms. Simms to continue as our child's upper elementary teacher after fourth grade. She is a wonderful teacher and she is reason alone to consider Arborland's middle school, where she now teaches. However, this gave us opportunity to have the benefit of additional teachers we never would have known with the comfort of having Ms. Yuri return with the students who knew her last school year. This year, our son has had Ms. Melissa, Ms. Ho, Ms. Yuri as a team, and Ms. Ho, Ms. Yuri, Ms. Lee and Ms. Lim as a team. We have felt that all of these teachers are fabulous. They know their subject matter, they are keen in observing the students to adapt as needed to reach all of the children. Ms. Yuri has been our liaison, and I suspect each of the team of teachers has a student for whom they are the liaison. It is a team effort we greatly appreciate. Having said that, as our liaison, Ms. Yuri has just been wonderful! Ms. Yuri takes the time to communicate with our family regularly, and encourage our son when he is having any difficulty. I see our son gaining more independence, confidence, and mastery of subjects. I also see him as identifying what he most enjoys and where he excels. I see him being motivated to try harder where there needs to be some form of improvement, or look for alternative ways of learning when something may not have worked or if he gets overwhelmed with an assignment. I truly feel he is being academically challenged and prepared while being given the TLC that he needs with a strong foundation not just for what comes next and to do well in it, but to truly thrive in life. We really continue to be happy at the school, even willingly commuting 30 minutes in one direction from home and 30 minutes in another direction from home for work, just to provide our child with this education. We feel a real sense of gratitude for Dr. Chen, Ms. Veronica, and their entire team. We most especially are grateful for the time and attention we see Ms. Yuri gives to our son, and we are grateful for the team effort of all of our son's teachers. Our son has really enjoyed the art and music program. He has a new art teacher this year. He really misses the PE teachers that he had as a fourth grader, but it has been really nice that he continues to have Ms. Gershfield for music. She did a fabulous job with the spring performance, and our son really enjoys taking music with her. It is really nice to hear our son wanting to practice in Spanish and Mandarin, and it is thrilling to know that he wants to teach mom and dad something. That shows me that he is inspired, interested, and learning. He most especially enjoys teaching us about the Chinese characters and refining the pronunciation that mom and dad have when we try to repeat them. The administration has been very helpful and promptly communicates. There are too many to name, but I always appreciate hearing the voice of any one of them when I see them or call. Our has also enjoyed an extracurricular program offered this year, a theater program that helped the kids have fun in performing, while gaining more public speaking skills, confidence, and cultural awareness through the subject matter of the performance. I love how multiple things can be tied into a singular subject or activity and I love that the school endeavors to make them available. I am crossing my fingers for private soccer coaching offered on campus, as we turn the corner in midst of the pandemic, if other families are interested. We learned quickly that remote learning does not do much for our child. We are so grateful that Dr. Chen has a plan for keeping the kids, her staff, and their families safe, to get the best of the educational benefits in person, and for those families that feel more comfortable remotely, and who have children who can indeed grasp things remotely, that is also nice to know. Our son recently graduated from his Cub Scout experience, and Dr. Chen also took the time to present him with a very special message, and one not just directed to

Arborland students enjoy learning and teachers enjoy teaching. This is evident especially during the pandemic challenges. They are not only acquiring knowledge but also developing lifelong skills!
