What thrifting should be. Tons to choose from and reasonable pricing

My friend’s kid works here, which is how I found out about it. They have an excellent selection of everything. They have a little of it all. Love thrifting here!

The price increase for all women’s shirts, blouses, etc is $5.99 flat now. Whats with the major price increase? I understand inflation has brought everything up to a couple dollars more but all their inventory they sell is donated!

What is up with the prices here lately? First they stopped doing the stamp card and now everything has practically doubled in price. So sad to see one of the best thrifts in Fresno change for the worst.

I use to love shopping there I enjoyed it . I’m disappointed to see that the veterans only get 10% off now instead of 20%. And the same for seniors. They also took away the 75% off certain items It use to be fun and everything has changed , even the prices went up !!!!! Use to be the place to go. Not anymore.

went to Amvet's today. the parking lot was EMPTY.. so weird. normally, senior day has a line to get in....Well...I soon discovered why. New management is out to take every one of your pennies. they have reduced the veterans 20% discount to 10%. they have reduced the seniors day discount from 20% to 10%. they've done away altogether with their Thursday, student and teachers discount, and they will only do one color discount a day at 50% rather than the two one at 50% the other at 75%. and they don't combine any discounts anymore. so if you're a senior. Or a veteran, you can not get that on top of the daily discount anymore. You can have one or the other. and if you have a 50% off item, you have to get back in line in order to get that 50% off if you're a senior or a veteran. Because they will not ring up one with the other. so today, I was FORCED to only Ring up my regular priced items with my 10% senior discount. Then anything that was the daily 50% off, I had to keep in my cart. Turn around, get back in line and wait to ring them up separately..no...im not joking. They refused to do separate ringing in an effort to Make it as Inconvenient as possible for you to get a discount. The discount that they offered to get you here to begin with.. So..if you are a senior or a veteran and you have 10 things in your cart, you can ring them all up at your discount 10%. But if you happen to have a daily 50% off, they won't give you that at 50% off, you have to get back in line. It's really messed up. and the poor cashiers feel terrible because they've got management Watching them like Hawks and will punish them if they try to do the right thing. Unbelievable...just ridiculous. Last bit...pricing isnhigher in regular clothes.

The new district manager is taken away discounts and the little stamp card to get more of a discount. Pretty hard to compete with thrift City is right down the street and does 75% off on Sundays

Folks are always friendly and more than able to answer questions. I’m very impressed with the professionalism that they put out even under the current situation with homeless vandalism on the outside and arson attempts in the recent months.

The staff are very cool! They are also very helpful. The items are very good quality most of the time but wash all clothes and or anything you buy here very good because I'm pretty sure that they have stopped cleaning the donated items.

This has been a favorite thrift of mine for many years. I've found countless items that I got for a fair price the clothing is great when you find the right color tags. If not then the prices are still good. I've found quite a few concert t-shirts here for under $5 I scoop them up if I've got a little cash. I miss the store by the stadium downtown, still need to check the madera store out.

Disappointed. I scheduled a pickup for donation. The guy only picked up what he wanted. I have boxes of good clothes and boxes of blankets and very good dishes. That were left. I have a very good air mattress there. So I guess they don't need all that stuff. So I think I'll go give it to the mission. I'm pretty sure they can use the clothes & theblankets.

The new cashier at Amvets was very nice on March 13th 2019 at 9 a.m.! A very pleasant Customer Service employee versus a couple of employees in the past. I also like the management, I believe his name is Mike, he's very helpful. I like the selection and inventory at this thrift shop. I bought this bike for $40! I just have to replace the seat and back brakes, but front brakes and gears work well. It's a nice bike worth about $200.
