I had been dreading repairing or replacing a leaky water valve for our tub. Once I took the valve out I couldn’t find anywhere that carried just the replacement valve. After going Standard Plumbing Supply I was amazed at the size of the place and everything they carried. Immediately the two guys at the counter acknowledged me and not only were able to tell me who made the part(s) I was looking for, but were eager to find and retrieve the parts for me. Too my surprise it was a perfect match, but low and behold the price for the part had significantly gone up in price within the last week. For a little over a hundred bucks and 30 minutes later I was home with the valve installed and the tub/shower running good as new. I highly recommend this place and will be back. Thanks guys.

I had an excellent interaction with Junior. I was searching for a tank-less water heater and could not find one the the Oakland Bay area, after searching online I found my second choice located in Fresno. When I called I spoke with Junior who was very helpful. He made arrangements to hold the item I had requested and I drove to Fresno to pick it up. Upon arriving, Junior was on the desk and had my item sit aside waiting. I noticed there were several other tank-less water heaters stored within view one of which was my first choice. (I had been searching for this brand/model for weeks) After a short discussion with Junior, I was able to make this purchase. It was a pleasure to be in a business where the employees are knowledgeable about their products, friendly & professional. Almost made me wish I lived in Fresno. (:-) no not really)

In this day in age with all that is going on in the world, you would expect people to be a bit more caring, a but more appreciative of customers, but nit with this place, coming into this place is being in a misogynistic environment. Men are working here, dont bother us is the mentality when a women asks for help. Today a worker displayed such a attitude towards my wife, only apologizing when i confronted him. This Jr fellow is the younger of the workers, their are 2 older gentlemen (using term loosely) that are the embodiment of this attitude, no hi no how can I help you etc. When she walked past, only a quick disregard of her only wanting directions to a certain part of the building. Iam a changed man, lucky for them it did not escalate into something they were not ready for. Please stay away from this place, plenty of other places to go too, stay away and keep yourself the experience of this old world mentality, shame on them and an embarrassment for their families. Stat away

I have consistently had great service from Peter over the years. He used to work in the showroom and is now at the counter. He has always been very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He really knows his stuff! He helped me today with a warranty issue. I'm grateful for him helping able me with what the manufacturer needed to cover the warranty. Now I'm in the hands of the manufacturer and I will see what happens. Thanks again Peter.

Went here to get a 50 gallon gas water heater, which they had in stock. Miguel was super helpful and answered all our questions. A little better price than HD, but the customer service here was miles apart! Will gladly shop here again.

You would think local business place like this would need all support they can get in light of recent current events. Walked in the showroom not a soul. One guy at the counter randomly on the phone not even acknowledging me. Looking at papers or whatever never asked me once if I needed help as it was obvious I did in that giant place. I was basically a ghost. If I finally had to ask for help and even then he seemed liked he didn't want to help. I was referred to them by a guy I have doing work in my house. We tried to order parts but standard never placed it and now we are scrambling to get things done because of their piss poor organization and communication. Never again. Going to Home Depot or Lowes.

The sales staff is friendly for the most part but their management is terrible at customer service. I'm not a rich man but in the past when we needed plumbing we would go see Peter, a good guy and helpful salesman. Recently, I purchased a complete bathroom - the 2nd complete bathroom within the last 5 months. We purchased all fixtures along with the rough plumbing setup, I prepaid the order in full as I always have. One of The items was going to be ordered however I found out the next day that the dimensions would not work for our application. The next business day I called and cancelled this $290.00 item within the $2200.00 + order, I opted for a refund for the single item. Today, 2 months later and not upset, (yet) I called to find out when we should expect our refund and explained the reason for the refund, (which we were told would arrive in the mail when we cancelled). Peter wasn't available, instead a person came to the phone and identified himself as "the manager" and gave us an 801 area code number. He told us that if we wanted to find out about the refund that we would need to call the number. I asked if he would please find out then call me back. He repeated "If you want your check you'll have to call this number". The conversation continued downhill. I repeated "I just want to know when we would see our refund" and asked again for him to please call whoever was at this phone number. He repeated the "if you want your check", answer. I don't know why but I asked his name, he blurted "the manager and who are you?" I told him my name, (Again) he said "I don't know you". At that point I had it I told him that he was obviously lacking the skill set necessary to offer any meaningful customer support that was respectful to customers needs, his reply? "Wow, wow, wow, so your coming at me that way?" I wanted away from this guy, I thanked him telling him that I would wait for Peter. It was sad, head shaking sad.

Wow, this place is HUGE and has everything! Extreme plumbing, contractor supplies, copper and everything else you can imagine for huge jobs and small. It's wholesale! Did I mention that there is a whole True Value Hardware inside, too? This place is incredible and I got the best possible service from a plumbing expert, Peter! He helped me figure out what I needed for my large kitchen sink upgrade (to stainless steel). There's also a FULL showroom with sinks, tubs, toilets, vanities and fixtures from all the big names. And it's extensive! Pssst: It's hidden right next to the gym on blackstone just south of Shaw. Drive in the back and there's a side and a back entrance. I'm rarely giving 5-star reviews these days but what a great experience and VAST selection! Keep up the good work, Peter! -G
