This place used to be GREAT. Took all our vehicles there for the last 20 years. They were quick, friendly, and affordable. They appear to be under new ownership within the last year (circa summer 2024). New owner is an unfriendly, difficult, unhelpful jerk.
They went from ~$40 to $80 and charge a premium for diesels. And now they claim if you have ANY upgrades on your vehicle, regardless if they are 100% CARB approved, they won't smog you. So I went across the street to Auto Smog and passed smog in 5 minutes, without any hassles or attitude.
Smog Master appears to be TRYING to lose customers and go out of business. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

Bad customer service open till 4 stated but stopped taking vehicles at 2:45 because he wanted to close at 3pm. Just told me to come back Monday.

Someone needs to update this. Description states they provide Star smog service and they do not. Otherwise its a nice place to go.

I went in when it was close to closing time and there were 2 cars ahead of me. I told the manager I would come back tomorrow but he told me he would be able to get me in. This place is very quick and professional!

Shop wasn't open on a Thursday morning at 9:40am, sat in my car watching losers in the alley smoke drugs. I decided no more business on Blackstone, if I can help it. Yuck! Obviously, the druggie ritf raff isn't the shop's fault....

Super fast and friendly service! I even forgot my DMV paperwork and was still out in 20 minutes. I even got a $20 coupon for showing up, making the total only $50 for a Smog! Definitely recommend!
