These prices are getting out of control. This piece is priced at $31 but you can buy it brand new on the Walmart website for $24.88

Place is a joke. They treat secondhand items like they're valuble antiques. Or they price some filthy item like it's brand new. Nothing they sell here is worth more than what they sell for online, but that's exactly how they operate. The manager will actively look up LISTED prices (not the sold prices, which are the only relevant prices to check) and quote you at the online price for the same item, but new.

So while going past I see a van outside for 3700 I stop saying I want it he agrees to sell it for 3500 tell him I'm going home to get the cash and I'll be right back when I come back he hasn't pulled off to the side with the sticker off of the window he says oops sorry somebody came by and bought it I asked him why it's still here then he says they're going to the DMV to get it registered I've worked at a car lot before after you buy it they give you a temporary license plate and send you on your way so me and my daughter look at another car this car was for my daughter after standing around for an hour and a half finally someone talked to us and said this car would be ready tomorrow it hasn't been priced yet we have called day after day with never getting call backs for 5 days and it is still not been priced this place is a waist of time I think they really only want to sell you a car if you are a friend or family

We had a very odd experience here.We started our thrift hunts outside where there was a lot of furniture sitting. Some said sold, some were still available. But most things didn’t have prices. We saw a mirror we liked and brought it in to inspect and ask for a price. When we inspected it in the light (it was night outside) we noticed that the frame was a bit warped, it was incredibly dirty, and the back hanging feature was busted and would need repair. We figured this would play into the price. The employee we asked said pretty snarkily “everyone like to point out what’s wrong.”She then proceeded to ‘examine’ the mirror and kept repeating “ah, this looks antique-y” and eventually came up with “$49.99.”We were genuinely shocked. Fifty bucks for a mirror at a thrift store?? It wasn’t truly antique, it was just a dirty mirror. Haha. It was such an arbitrary price she gave—there was no branding or marking that would even suggest at one point it was a high end mirror. We left the mirror at the front with her and did a quick lap around the rest of the store. It was so odd what was priced high and what was priced low in that place. Books, including vintage books from the ‘20s were a great price! We also found other bigger, and frankly nicer mirrors listed for $20. At that point we felt bitter and were not about to get one. We grabbed a couple books we couldn’t leave behind and checked out.The reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because another employee who checked up out was SO NICE. She was happy, and friendly and making jokes. It was inane the difference between the mirror woman and this woman. She made the experience better just by being herself. After this novel, at the end of the day I won’t be returning to this place. We are new to the area and there are PLENTY of other thrifts near by that provide a totally different experience than this place did.

Imagine donating to a store for over ten years, stop in to get something and find a purse with no price tag, have an employee tell you a price and tell you they will tell the lady upfront then some guy grabs it off the counter helping someone else and you say something to stop them and they accuse you of yelling and ignore everything you say and say you have to leave?!?! Wow that’s some seriously sad service! I was a PTA MEMBERSHIP CHAIR and GIRL SCOUT TROOP LEADER and am a pillar in THIS COMMUNITY. Can you even imagine being embarrassed like this? Yelling? Or trying to get your attention after being told something different?!? CK the cameras. I had a conversation with an employee previously and we have two other thrift stores we can donate to in the neighborhood since loyalty and respect are not offered here. Thanks Shawn for making me out to be the bad guy. Guess I should just play the part you cast me in. Drama queen. So offended

Fresno Rescue Mission is there to help people get back on their feet, which is awesome. Mission Thrift used to be that way. I've been shopping their forever. I've seen it go from helping those in need to being for profit beyond my means. So sad... I'm so disappointed when I go in now, seldom buy anything. ? Most if the staff is friendly!

I loved coming here...until I noticed their boutique getting bigger. I wonder who prices the items...skirts at $34, Target clothing priced as new or even more...purses with no brand name at $14 and I can go on and on. I honestly go thrifting for quality items at a good price. This seemed to me like an overly priced thrift shop now. I saw n article where a doner has noticed and is actually cutting the tags off her clothing to avoid the defeat of the purpose to help others.

Amazing finds, tremendous amount of stuff to see every time you walk in, but the prices are ridiculous.

Whoever is pricing these items are insane better off going to another thrift store or offer up for example a used Fresno state shirt that looked old was 10 dollars ??

I’ve always enjoyed thrift stores. I tell friends, “if you know your best colors and styles; as well as brand names and buying only clothes that are new or neatly new>> you can find great buys at Mission Thrift.Plus, their staff is not only friendly but also very helpful. They have a lot of inventory, but yes… you need to take your time. Your not at Banana Republic, Anthropologie or Macy’s, but it’s always exciting for me to come home with something stylish that looks really good on me.. and I bought it for $6. To 9.99>> trying doing that in the original stores where the clothes were purchased.Definitely one of the best thrift stores in Fresno! ???????

I purchased $35 shoes and after 5 minutes and before I leave the shop I found another shoes $55, I requested the cashier to replace it & pay the remain amount but he said it’s final sale as per the policy, so what kind of policy made the Thrift losing extra money & the customer still in the store and only 5 minutes from first purchasing !!??

Update: Prices are MIND-BLOWING high! The store has great product however it's mostly overpriced. One thing I do not like about this business is that they do "Silent Auctions." However, the store is always the first bid with a ridiculous start price. I don't participate in them for this reason because the customers should be the ones to set the start price. They also sell replica products like Louis Vuitton, which is completely illegal! You can not sell counterfeit products in America.

Bought a car from here 2 weeks ago and the car broke down less than a week later with me and my daughter in it. they refused to return my money. I saved for months and had to borrow money to buy this car and I'm left with nothing. This place is supposed to be run by church people and they had no mercy on me or my family. Wouldn't recommend this place to no one ever!
