It was hot today and my air conditioning in my car doesn't work but I still helped a good friend out by giving him and his ailing lawn mower over to E.G.Babcock's shop. He has been a customer for several years. So it's hot I'm sweating but we finally find our way over there. My friend lifts the heavy mower out of my trunk and wheels it into their shop. The next thing I notice he's putting the mower back into my trunk and he's madder than Hell. Get this...he said when he took the mower in there was only one guy back there and it was so quite you could hear a pin drop. Yet the guy had the audacity to tell him that they were real busy at the moment and that they will call him in about 2 weeks and that he could drop off the mower at that time. If that idiot worked for me and turned a good customer away for any reason I would "promote that SOB to an outside opportunity" if you know what I mean. Plus they just lost a really good customer. An Idiot wrapped up in a moron!

Great products and service!I was trying to be a repeat customer when I came in to buy a replacement Stihl hedge trimmer. (I thought I had purchased it threeyears ago from the Babcock Co.--actually, it was 5.5 years after I found the invoice. I divided $300. by 5.5, and it seemed about how long one could reasonably expect it to last.) However, replacement would be premature!Phil showed me that the problem I had with my hedge trimmer simple to solve: a throttle cable I somehow knocked out of place! Phil also pointed out that by continued good maintenance and proper gearbox lubrication, I can expect some more years of good service from this equipment. This proves to me that my original purchase from the Babcock Company was a good investment! When (not if!) I buy another Stihl product; I am going to get it from the Babcock Co.When you go there--talk to Phil. He is super knowledgeable and helpful!

A few months back I purchased a new lawnmower. Problem was I couldn't turn the idle up in order to use the mower. The business where I purchased my mower told me if I had any problems take it to Babcock. I took it in on a Saturday morning and asked the mechanic on duty if he would take a look at it and trouble shoot the problem. He responds by throwing a fit and telling me if someone else shows up he will have to put my repair aside. I took my mower back where I purchased it ready to return it with receipt and I'm grateful they spotted the problem. It had no throttle spring to begin with. That problem solved took no more than 2 minutes. I know I'm never setting foot on that property again with someone copping an unacceptable attitude.

Awesome place! First time here and the experience was great, won’t be my last time here. I didn’t get a feeling, like I was a waste of their time. I was only in there for some MS200T fuel line. And they didn’t treat me any different than the person next to me buying a full line-up of stihl equipment. This is what customer service is suppose to be like. Thanks, gentlemen.

Avoid this place like the clap. Took a echo hedge trimmer in twice. Still won't start. Charged me almost enough to buy a new one
