I don't usually give bad reviews but I need to... If I could give them a zero I would. I have been with this company for 15 years & Doug who's name is on the business title is no longer there. They failed to file our taxes on time, the IRS kicked it back for whatever reason, they failed to call us with any information, zero professionalism, zero accountability, zero courtesy. I'm just waiting for the IRS to come after us because of their incompetence. BUT asked me if they cashed our check? Heck yeah, the next day!!! It is ridiculous the incompetence of these people. Don't go here. Take your business somewhere else. It's not worth the headache.

I had been going to this office to file my returns for several years now and this is the first year that I have ever had a complaint. I understand that the pandemic has caused a lot of chaos for the IRS and all CPA's however the way this office is handing everything since Doug Matthews has left is just awful. There is a complete lack of communication with the clients regarding filing changes and rejections. My filing, along with many others was rejected and I was not notified until I made a point to call. I had additional issues with identity theft so I had to submit additional documents. This had nothing to do with the office itself but the way things were handled was very unprofessional. I know these things take time but I feel as if this was negligence because I had to be the one to call to check on status and it was not until then that I was notified of the issues encountered. I called this morning to follow up since I have lost my peace of mind and confidence in their practices and I am livid at the way that I was spoken to. I mentioned my concerns to the receptionist, Theresa, so she could let management know. Ashley then took over the call and I have NEVER been this upset at the way someone handles a CSR type of call. I was respectful to Theresa as I know it is not her fault and even acknowledged to Ashley that the length of time for processing was not a problem, it was the lack of communication. She did not insult, but her belittling tone and her need to repeatedly interrupt me is what lost my business. I have dealt with office management, customer service and overall conflict management with clients the majority of my life and I know that I would never let anyone in my office talk to a client so disrespectfully with that tone without suspension. I know everyone in this line of work is overloaded and frustrated but I was respectful throughout the call and lost my patience at the end when she made it clear she simply did not care about me as a client by throwing in that my return wouldn't be processed until November anyway. I still chose my words respectfully but my tone reflected hers at that point. There are things you don't do and this is one of them. I, along with 5+ family members that own businesses will no longer be doing business here because of that call and the lack of communication we all experienced. This is a sad review to leave because my family was very fond of Doug but now that he has retired, it is clear that service will not be the same.
