I put my dog to sleep, she was very sick, there was nothing else to do, we decided to go to Cedar Vet to put her to sleep, but the INCOMPETENT staff doesn't even know how to put in a catheter, they gave her the medication that is supposed to take 30 seconds to do. effect so that it does not suffer...
10 minutes passed and she was still conscious and suffering, they took her away, they put another catheter in the other leg and more medications to give a total of 17 minutes, 3 doses of sleeping medication and 2 catheters.
I paid so he wouldn't suffer and it turned out worse, the most horrible 17 minutes of my life!

The staff is friendly and caring. The only issue I had was their time management and delivery of that time. I had to bring one of my dogs in for something out of our control and our regular Veterinarian was unavailable. Cedar Veterinarian Hospital was recommended by them. I called immediately and was told it may be 1-2 hours wait time. That was fine considering the circumstance. We arrived shortly after that call and the front desk said 3-4 hours wait time. I mentioned I just called and was told differently and they said they are not sure who said that and it must have been someone in the back. Either way, we had to do it. To my surprise, they called us into a room within 30-minutes. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes and several different techs and a doctor attended to our dog. The process was about 45-minutes. They then said it would be about another hour for a procedure. That turned closer to 2-hours. So our visit was close to 4-hours. But for being last minute, I am grateful they took us in and and our pup is on the mend. Also, the cost was a bit expensive, but I paid a deposit and they ultimately gave me a credit for some services not rendered.

I had always taken my Rico here since he was a puppy, but this last time I took him. I had a very bad experience. They had told me, my Rico didn’t have no hope, that I had to put him down due to his mass being huge in his stomach, they were all cold hearted, didn’t even have compassion to give me more options. They mentioned giving him surgery but that he wasn’t going to make it neither. Luckily I didn’t tell their answer to consideration, took him for a second and third opinion and good thing I did. He had surgery at another vet and now he’s back to being healthy and happy. Wouldn’t take my pet to this place. Throughout the years, they got new staff and very rude. Not friendly at all!

Receptionist instigated a homeless man who was already leaving the facility. She purposely opened the door to scream at him just because he mumbled something. Extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. They also tried adding $60 to our bill until we asked to see the receipt and they claimed it was a mistake. They tried scamming us and thought they can get away with it. Sticking with our hope vet.

I took my cat here bc she is anemic and not eating for days, we ran diagnostic testing and blood work and x-rays which led to no diagnosis. I dropped her off for these tests bc I had to go to work and was told it would only take two hours and I would receive a call when she was ready for pick up, I received no call and assumed they were busy so I called them and was told they were waiting for the doctor to review the lab results and I would receive a call. I waited four more hours and nothing so I called and was told they were still waiting for the doctor but I could pick her up after her being there for 8 hours total. Once I picked her up I noticed a bandage was still on her leg and no one mentioned anything to me. Those bandages are not supposed to be on for longer than 15 mins. Once I took it off I noticed her paw was significantly swollen. Not only did they neglect her for 8 hours they left two tightly double wrapped bandages on my cats paw which caused it to get swollen. She was sitting in her urine while her paw was getting the circulation cut off. Very unprofessional and forgetful of them to forget a bandage to cause harm to my cat and to not communicate or update me about my pet.

We had to put our beloved Mr. Bentley to rest he was 16 or 17 years old. He was an amazing and loving Yorkie. Cedar Veterinary Hospital, gave us time to hold him and say our goodbyes, we were with him until he took his last breath! We brought our Mr. Bentley home, made a beautiful grave for him, so he's happy and he's home with his Daddy and Mommy! Forever loving you Mr. Bentley!

For my experience this clinic does not have any urgency at all. My dog was bite by another dog and had 3 puncture wounds. We waited in waiting room for an hour and finally made it to the back and the rooms were freezing my dog was shivering and in pain. The technician surprised me to show no compassion for our dog and wasn’t friendly with us either. We waited in that room for another hour until I opened the door to try to warm up that’s when another technician asked if we’re waiting for ours and got her for us. She informed us that the 2 vets that were there would not be able to see us for another hour due to a surgery and a lunch. We asked if she can examine his wounds to at least offer some advice and she shrugged her shoulders and smiled for the first time and said I’m not a doctor so I wouldn’t be able to help. We mentioned we’ve been waiting for almost three hours and she recommended either waiting or scheduling another appointment and left after those words. We left with our boy still with three punctures that were still bleeding because they showed no care and no passion for their line of work.

I've always taken my dogs to Cedar Vet.
This past February my boy Chapo (8) got very sick very quickly. I took him in and a wonderful vet with a foreign accent (I'm sorry her name escapes me) took care of my boy, drained fluid from his chest and diagnosed him terminal. She said he may have hours, this visit included X-rays as well and the total was near $400. As money was tight they gave me a week to pay before it would be sent to collections, which I paid within two days.
Sadly I took my boy home to his mom, my other dog Indica (12), and he passed in the night. Now it was just me and my girl who I've had since a puppy.
This week Indica has fallen ill. I took her to Cedar Vet today for their help.
Mind you, I've lost nearly everything this year. Tough luck doesn't begin to describe the way my life has gone downhill. Even care credit isn't an option. I will get back on my feet but that's besides the point, I'm an incredibly hard working man.
.
Before I signed any paperwork agreeing to an amount for tests, X-rays, etc. I told the nurse I will have no way to pay this and it will have to go to collections until I can get back on my feet.
She says okay and hands me the form to sign.
They do the tests and X-rays, suggested I get more opinions from their network. I tell them I can't afford any of this and since the vets professional opinion was that she wouldn't have long either, we spoke of putting her down as well.
Then they ask how I'll be paying, I explained what I told the nurse in the beginning and the manager was called.
She was extremely rude and inconsiderate, I tried explaining my hardships and that I had stated my inability to pay today before signing.
She treated me like dirt, calling me a thief and threatened me. She then proceeded to bring my sick, old, and already handicapped dog in and set her down too hard for my taste.
She made sure to make me feel even worse about myself before kicking me and my dog out of the side door.
I'm a small town country boy, I'm very respectful and I held my composure throughout all of this because that's the way I was raised.
Nobody should be treated that way. I asked if there was any possibilty to make it right or even pay later that day, I could borrow the money. Nope. Got kicked out on the street. She even asked me for my last $10 gas money, which would leave me and my dog stranded on the side of the road in the sweltering heat.
Never again. When I do pay them what I owe, I hope to make an example of how to respectfully handle a situation with someone who doesn't deserve my decency to begin with. This manager is an awful awful woman.
