Whatever you DO NOT even remotely consider hiring this company! Everything they advertise is completely misleading from helping to move victims of Domestic Violence/Stalking for free to ensuring your items are loaded and moved in a professional manner free from damage upon arrival at your new destination. My son and I were both victims of stalking and made Meathead Movers aware of this upon the initial consultation. We offered to show any documentation needed to support our claim police reports (at least 30) etc. but they completely disregarded anything we had to say about our situation. I am a single 58 year old mother with an 18 year old child victims of such a horrific stalking situation they were throwing dog feces at our home, literally running my son off the road crashing into him attacking him physically and verbally in restaurants, stores etc. so much so I literally uprooted my entire life of 50 years in California to a state clear across the other side of the map just to save my baby's life. Meatheads did not give a hoot and offered nothing not a discount NOTHING! Proving everything they say in regards to helping Domestic Violence victims a big fat lie! They also showed how not only greedy they are but heartless as well. They loaded my belongings into our storage POD completely unprofessional loading our light totes on the bottom and heavy totes on top thereby causing the totes to shift and cave in causing damage to our headboard and an angel that was given to my son by his late grandfather. When sending in proof of the damage their response was, "Oh it's only cosmetic there is nothing we can do." Try telling that to an 18 year old child who has just been driven out of his home state by a stalker who was devastated already. He literally cried when seeing the finger broke off of an heirloom that may have not meant anything to Meatheads but meant the world to my son. They also disassembled my 4,000.00 treadmill exposing the motor scattering all the screws about (they did that with everything by the way) who does that and call themselves professional? All hardware is supposed to be taped on whatever it came off of. This company stands for anything but honesty and integrity like they try to portray more like deceptive, greedy and taking advantage of people by charging an arm and a leg for shoddy work. That's the whole purpose for hiring movers is so your stuff doesn't get all banged up. If you value your belongings don't trust these people with your stuff as they will not replace what they damage.

They sent college students to do a man's job and they couldn't handle it. A guy named Matthew was complaining and whining the minute he walked in the door. He said the house wasn't clean enough for him to work in. Cleaning is usually done after the move, not before. The other 2 guys were hard at work and would have continued except the driver cancelled and the other 2 couldn't drive. Was the most unprofessional performance I have ever encountered. Another handyman was there my sister hired for a fraction of the price and did the work all by himself with no problems or complaints. He also thought they were acting childish and unprofessional. You can tell they lacked experience. That one guy Matthew should be fired for his unprofessional behavior. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

This is the second time using MM, this time we used them in two cities, Simi Valley and Modesto for loading and unloading of our UHAUL truck. Both times the team of two were professional, careful and courteous with our items. The movers were efficient in loading our 26 foot truck of belongings. Moving is stressful as it is, but they take away the burden of loading and unloading of items, my back isn't what it used to. be When we need to inbthe future we will be using them again.

I was drawn to try this mover because its hundreds of reviews. Again, it proofs that just because you have hundreds of reviews would make it the best choice to do business with. Not only would it be difficult to communicate due to their mistake of giving out wrong email address to send photos but they itemize things to move. A ridiculous cost to move a handful of storage items to no where far away (15 minutes drive) turns out to be costing thousands of dollars. You got to be kidding. I end up just paying $160 to get the job done. I have to write this review because it's ridiculous estimate.

Romy was the lead Meathead Mover helping my daughter with her boxes, piano, and desk. They got the job done in just under an hour. All four movers were cheerful and quick. Treated the piano with due care. Kudos!

Normally I wouldn't take to social media for such nonsense, but this is worth the time. My husband and I have previously used Meathead to unpack a trip from Glendora to Clovis. The team was knowledgeable, thorough and skilled, and were worth every penny. When we decided we needed to move our 3200 sqft home from Clovis back to Southern California, we chose Meathead over other local outfits based on their experience. We met Michael Bronze at our home, he assessed our property, and originally quoted us over $9500. After negotiating, we decided to rent a 20' U-haul, and Meathead would bring (2) 26-foot Meathead trucks plus 7 movers to pack, all estimated at a bit over $8K.In order to coordinate this, we needed Meathead to pack two specific rooms into the Uhaul, and we planned to drive that truck and meet a separate team of unpackers at 4pm at our new destination. At 9:07 we get the call from the team lead (Alex) stating that start time was 9:45a, but they were going to be late, as they needed to gas up their trucks. They ultimately arrived just before 10:15a.We then gave the team direction three times on which two rooms to pack, and then to fill any remaining space with boxes from the garage. At noon, my son and husband took off for Southern California with the lightly-packed Uhaul (team wasn't able to place more in the truck as they were originally late, and we were out of time,) leaving me to work with the team to finish the house. This is where it all unraveled.at 2pm, the team started "working" on the dryer, and after 30 minutes claimed that they were going to need to leave it, as they couldn't disconnect the gas hose. My husband called the nearest "man" we could find, who came over and disconnected the hose in two minutes. Shortly after, the Team Lead mentioned that "they were out of time" and were going to have to leave what was just about 1 room worth of furniture and belongings around the house. The team not only wanted to get out with the least work possible, but they didn't know how to cube a truck. As you'll see by pictures, neither truck was above one layer of items. We called the original estimator to complain and determine what alternatives we had; the best he could offer was to have another team pick up our stuff and store it at their facility, and deliver it five days later, at my expense. Having no options, we had to choose this.To make things worse, when my husband and son got to Los Angeles with their load, they find out the following:o The parts to my sons bed to bracket and tighten the supports for the mattress were nowhere to be foundo Neither of the two rooms we designated as needing to be moved were completely moved o To our surprise, the headboard to the bed from the master bedroom was included, which seemed "odd" but we didn't know why, just yet.Next day is "unpack" day with Meathead:* Alex called just before 10a mentioning that they were 20 minutes late; they ended up 30 minutes late.* The unpack went horribly: - The team lead and my son almost came to blows over a rediculous accusation that our son was "threatening" the team with a serrated kitchen knife he had been using to cut plastic from his couches. - First attempt at trickery was that the guys said they couldn't find the parts to the guest bedroom bed, and would have to leave it as-is. My Sister started hunting and found the parts in a complete separate room where they had no business being. At least we got them to put this bed together.* As soon as my husband and son left to take the Uhaul back, the Team Lead packed up the team and started closing the trucks, and said "they were out of time and were leaving." Despite multiple promises to put the remaining beds together and connect the washer and dryer, they conveniently "couldn't find" the parts to the master bed and other bed, blamed the previous nights "Uhaul unpack" for losing the parts, packed up and left without so much as a "thank you." Later I

If you are moving- look no further than Meathead Movers. They have moved us twice and we will have them again, heaven forbid we move again. Laurel and Lexie packed our boxes very carefully- no breakage at all. They were pleasant, quick and very professional. Our moving team: Amari, Conner and Romy were even more amazing. They too were pleasant, quick and professional. They picked up all their supplies. No bumps or scratches on our brand new home. We will ask for them by name-should we ever need help. Meathead Movers should be you first and last call for help.

I recently had to move. Its definitely a stressful time. My experience with this company I wish I could give them more then 5 stars. It was incredible from start to finish. Breanna was who I spoke with. Kind friendly and put a smile on my face over the phone call. Alexis, Marco, and hernan were my movers and being my family is out of state and couldn't help. I truly felt like they were family. They were kind extremely respectful and did an amazing job. They flipped my stressful time into a wonderful day. Thank you staff. It means more then you know.

Honestly really disappointed in the service provided. We paid for 2 movers for 3 hours. We had a large trailer that we had reserved 17" for which we believed was AMPLE space for all of our stuff. At about 10" in they started just throwing things into the truck and cost us an extra $500 for taking 21" up in the trailer. Neither one of them knew how to set up the ramp for the trailer, and at least one of the movers was completely new with limited training and supervision. They threw our carbon bikes on top of a pile of tv and computer monitors and haphazardly "organized" our furniture in a way that caused 90% of our furniture to get scratched. Tables were set on end so that the legs were loosened during the move. Our treadmill was placed on its SIDE which has resulted in it breaking (we were taking care to not have to replace this during the move and will now need to shell out $1000+ to replace). My great grandmothers wooden rocking chair was scratched, along with other precious items that are irreplaceable being damaged. When we got to our destination and another company was unloading the items (with so much care!) they kept insisting that our items could have been packed in less than 15". Which would have saved us money on an already expensive move. So not only did we have to pay $500 for the extra space, we now have to go through all of our items and replace them (if possible). I'm so impossibly frustrated at the lack of care that this company had with our items and will never use them again or recommend them. Update: emailed them directly after seeing the below message and have yet to hear back from them. Everyday noticing more and more things as broken and scratched.

They were very careful with my items to be moved. They made sure no scratches on my floor or walls. Very patient to me since i could not make up my mind which rooms to place my bed and dresser. Jason and Ricardo were so kind and very much helpful. They made me feel safe having strangers in my house. I would definitely hire them again if i need some movings to do.

They sent 2 girls to pack. They packed what was easy/convenient for them. Packed a bunch of of "leave this alone" and not some of the "pack this" stuff. So we are doing without stuff and walking around other stuff. I guess we'll hook back up with it a few months.

The packing ws decent. Most things were packed....we found some drawers in the kitchen that were not packed...no biggie. Day 2 Loading went smooth. There were 4 very professional young men who arrived and knocked the job out within 4 hours (not bad for the amount of stuff we had). HOWEVER!!!!! Shame on MHM for only sending only 2 guys to unload a 4 bedroom house at an apartment complex with 4 flights to go up and down. These guys struggled and it took them all day. NOT becuase of them...but rather poor planning on the company end. The 2 guys who arrived worked their asses off. We helped too to unload. I threw out my back helping. My having a bad back is the reason i hire movers. I will be putting this review on YELP and GOOGLE and My social media platforms as well.
