We adopted our newest member to our family and his name was Pig which we changed to Beau. He is a 2 month old Australian shepherd mix. Such a sweet little guy. Thank you again to Animal Compassion Team!❤️

I adopted a small dog from them in the summer of 2021. While I love my dog very much I need to warn potential future adopters that my dog is extremely reactive and literally bites people. He has bitten me, my partner and countless other people. His reactivity is mitigated by not being around anyone other than me and my parter now but vet care is almost impossible for him. I was told he had been returned twice due to a “family moving and a second time because of a couple wanting a dog that was more playful” I do not believe this to be true. There is absolutely NO way this dog could be around children. After assessment from vets and trainers it’s clear he has neurological issues that had to be obvious prior to me adopting him. I am thankful that I of all people adopted him because it’s likely he would have been euthanized if someone with less patience. Just beware. And a note to ACT - it’s not worth adopting out a dog by lying about its reactivity issues. I love my dog so much but my early twenties have been weighed down by a dog I cannot take to meet my family, cannot be boarded, cannot be around children and I am too kind and invested to rehome or euthanize (a vet seriously recommended this to me). I am also really glad he is only a 20 pound dog because any larger he would be doing serious and potentially deadly damage to people.

We absolutely love their facility and staff. In a perfect world every dog would have a home, but until then they can find comfort at Animal Compassion team

I got a beautiful long haired chihuahua puppy from ACT about 7 or 8 years ago. They're a great group to support and I have a friend who fosters for them.

ALL THE WORKERS HERE ARE VOLUNTEER!!! Stupid, Stupid, Stupid dumb idiots leaving bad reviews cuz their dog changed behaviors after leaving the place and blaming the bad behavior on the shelter. WTF, if they behaved good at the shelter and not your house, why in the absolute fuck would you blame the shelter? Blows my mind how fucking stupid people can be
