I'd give zero stars if I could! Used UHAUL movers. They cancelled 45 minutes before they were scheduled to show. Was charged 189.00 which was difficult to get back also lost out on the money I spent for a rental van!

I recently purchased a new home and thus the process of moving started. My wife and I needed to move quite a bit of stuff from our existing residence to our new one; about 15 miles away in the next town over. We reserved a 21 foot U Haul the night before on their website. My appointment time was for 8am. I showed up at 8am and there was 1 person working the counter. It's probably a good idea to have more than 1 person working the early mornings to get people in & out. The truck was clean. Most of the dents had been marked but they did miss one. No worries I used the app to report it. I wish the lot was a little larger as maneuvering a big truck like that was not easy. Customer service was OK. Bare minimum to get the job done. Guy at the counter looked like he really didn't want to be there. Pricing is high. Over $100 for 3 hours and 30 miles seems like a lot.

Marlon was super helpful with the whole process of my tow hitch installation! He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and quick!!! Best deal in the area!! Highly recommend him and this place! Thank you again! You did a great job!!! Very happy and stoked!(Car is a 2020 Audi Q3, should've been longer/ complex but he knows what he's doing and he did it quick and clean!)

I was looking for a tow hitch along with the rest of the world during covid. Les had one in stock and was very helpful and secured me one. The store was clean and Les was very conscious of disinfecting and maintaining social distance. We didn't get installed here because of timing but would've gladly and much rather have had the whole service through them.

I called around for installing a tow hitch and this place was the only one with a reasonable turnaround, less than one week. I received a call the week of the installation appt and Marlon told me that my part was back ordered (w COVID-19, tow hitch installation increased double for bike racks). I was bummed but didn't really have a choice. I was told it may take another 1-2 weeks.To my surprise the part came early and they were able to install it that weekend. Marlon was in communication with me the whole time, the staff was professional and the service was great. Highly recommend this place for your tow hitch installation needs.

I made a reservation last night and got confirmation regarding the trailer. I selected a location for pick up closer to my location and made sure of that. A representative called me today named Michelle from Fremont location and was very rude. They said the available trailer is in Stockton and is about an hour drive from me. She was not even apologetic or helpful at all. This truly was a bad experience and was expecting a good customer service.

I've had to deal with a lot of very bad storage places after coming back from the military. They've been fraudulent, deceptive, greedy, you name it. I no longer trust big companies, nor small companies for anything unless they can prove to me why they should be trusted. This particular Uhaul however has proven to be exceptional for the following reasons: 1. They will make recommendations based on your needs, not theirs (this is huge for me). 2. They will call you in person if you have an issue. This indicative to a behavior that actually cares. 3. If there is an error, and it is was caused by this Uhaul branch, they will admit it. This is unbelievably rare and holds the highest of respect from me BTW. 4. Their staff is hard working and will go/have gone out of their way for me. 5. From the owner to the cashier are true professionals. This is a stalwart and strong branch. I feel my items are safe, secured and well looked after here. Hope this helps, Jason

I went there this morning, 3/15/2020. I arrived at 9:03 AM, just after opening. I pulled up to the propane refill station and rang the bell. Another car pulled in after me. After waiting 5 minutes, I rang the bell again. I waited 5 more minutes and then walked inside the store. The guy working, was with the customer that pulled in behind me. The u-haul employee was staring at the computer screen. He did not acknowledge my presence. I said good morning. He looked up at me and grunted. He did not say, "Someone will be with you in a moment", or anything that might resemble customer service. I stood there for about 2 more minutes and then walked back out to the propane refill station and rang the bell again. After waiting 10 more minutes, I rang the bell 3 more times and left. There are other places in Fremont that will gladly take my money. I went to the U-Haul on Thornton and was served immediately, by a friendly U-Haul employee. I was out of there with two full tanks of propane in 10 minutes. Don't waste your time going to the U-Haul on Grimmer. It's obvious that the guy working there today hates his job. It really shows. They obviously don't need my patronage.

I'm happy coming to this location. And while I'm in the area I'll continue coming here for my moving help. Customer service is great. Vans are clean. The storage unit was what I needed and the community's cool. Thank you to the team here for making van and storage unit rental a good and comfortable experience for me.

Dumpster fire of a company with horrible customer service. Put a reservation (sorry, they call they requests because you're not actually reserving or guaranteeing anything) for equipment over 2 weeks in advance, only to be told less than 48 hours before move date that my order was not available. Customer service manager told me they couldn't help, nothing was available within 100 miles of my location. When I tried pushing back they pretended like they couldn't hear me on the phone, then hung up on me. Called back and spoke to someone else (another manager, apparently they have a lot of those) who said they can't predict when the equipment goes out of state or doesn't get returned, and they can't guess when they'll have availability. Uhh, that's basic forecasting. For a nationwide company, you'd think they'd have their logistics figured out. Guess not. Didn't offer me anything other than an apology for seriously screwing me over, less than 48 hours to figure out what to do. Will never give UHaul another dime of my money, and will be advising everyone else to do the same. What a horrid business.

My 5-star rating is solely in regard to Les, this location's manager. U-Haul made a very unfortunate error in booking me a unit in the Sunnyvale location, despite it being under construction and after 13+ hours of driving from Seattle, I arrived to a vacant building to be told that I could not move my things in. With a flight to catch in the morning and spending 2+ hours on the phone being transferred from one U-Haul agent to the other, they put me in touch with Les. Les generously came after hours to open up and rent me a storage unit, despite having nothing to do with this initial mixup. He was also kind enough to help me move a couple big items. I recommend this place, so long as Les is around! The units are fine, but it was his customer service that earned this rating. Tip to others: I rented a trailer in Seattle and I didn't even know that I qualified for a free month of storage at their storage locations. Definitely good to know if you have a little lag time between move out/in dates!
