Went there for the first time today. This location on maps is correct (4053 Clipper) - as of the time of writing, their phone system gives the wrong address. Once inside, there was a pretty poor selection of beginner tools (ex: diamond chisels were out of stock). The needles and threads weren't labeled with sizes on them. I plan to get most of my equipment elsewhere, but I'll definitely go back to check out the leather stock, because it looked plentiful and the employees were nice.

Great resource for the do-it-yourselfer! Many choices: belting, garment and upholstery leathers along with the tools and classes needed for most projects. I found a half hide for a headliner of my son’s old chevy pick up. The material was more expensive than vinyl the local upholstery shop wanted to use, but by doing it myself, the headliner is leather, looks trick and was half the cost the shop would have charged for labor alone. Make sure to visit Tandy leather and give them your business!

I am a new crafter and I enjoy walking into the store greeting and being greeted by the staff. (Hello friends) Then I walk around and ask questions about particular items Iwant to buy there all the while my excitement is building as the aroma of the leather permeates my nostrils. At times I feel like I can't leave. If there's a class going on I sit and watch a bit and engage with people about what they are doing. It's a very friendly environment.

Kami was wonderful. With a happy smile she patiently helped me select a font for heat stamping a leather pocket organizer for my buddy's 50th birthday. The store is nicely layed out with all kinds of furs and leathers and leatherwork tools. If all their staff are like Kami every visit will be a wonderful experience. Thank you Kami. ??

Old location was 100% better. The store is so small everything is crammed together you constantly have to stop looking at items and move so other customers can get buy. THE WORST PART IS THAT THEY CLOSE SO DAMN EARLY!!!!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND PEOPLE GET OFF WORK THE SAME TIME YOU CLOSE!!!!

Exceptional service. Worth the trip from Oakland. Staff is competent, approachable, helpful, and kind. Store is well organized and has a great deal of inventory. For example, I asked about best practices for cutting split hide. Staff showed me the options for leather scissors, then took me to the cutting table and encouraged me to try out each type of scissor. Staff was also able to immediately identify a snap on sight, and took me right to the snap in the store. I’m looking forward to returning.

Great store! Alex helped us out with getting our friend's name heat stamped onto a set of leather scriptures at no charge. It looked great! It also smells really good inside the store...

I had no idea this place even existed and I've been to Fremont Hub a million times. I came to do a leather tooling class and I was very impressed. The employees were super friendly and helpful. During the class, the instructor Alex, was attentive, respectful, and patient with all the newbies like me learning a new skill. I really enjoyed the class and can't wait to return for another one. They had lots of supplies and variety of tools. Highly recommend!! The tooling class was free and they have other classes for a very little fee compared to other leather classes that charge hundreds of dollars. Again, if you're new to learning leather craft, you should definitely stop by this place.

I was searching for a place or items to do some leather crafting. I of course first looked at what Michaels had but it just wasn't what I was looking for. So trusty Yelp gave me Tandy Leather and let's just say....wow. Who knew such a treasure of a place existed in Fremont Hub of all places. L O C A T I O N You can park on either side in the middle of Fremont Hub. If you're coming from the Staples side, just walk in the walk way towards the middle of the hub and it should be directly to the left before you go into the middle walkway. From the Dick's Sporting Goods/Five Below side, walk towards the middle walkway, turn left, walk a little, and you should see it to your right. Parking is shared all over the hub with other stores/restaurants. I found parking right in front of Dick's Sporting Goods. I N S I D E The smell of leather wafts in the air. You know it's real. They have many leather hide of different shades, sizes, types, etc. You're walking into a leather wonderland. Not only the items themselves, but what you can do with leather line the edges of the store. S E R V I C E These folks LOVE what they do and they love leather. They were warm and welcoming. Helping out when you need it but not pressuring you one way or another. They helped me out when trying to figure out how to stamp leather as well as what leather you can stamp on. You can try things to your hearts delight at least when trying out stamps. Checking out was really easy too though I don't think they had touchless payment as I had to pull out my card (maybe they did and I was just not paying attention). O V E R A L L If you ever need help with leather or doing something with leather or crafting with leather or fixing something leather, just come here. The folks here are quite knowledgeable and very excited about leather. It was definitely contagious! They do also hold some classes for leather crafting so go to their website to see what they offer. I'll have to try one of their beginners classes if they ever offer it. So glad we have this special store here. I'll definitely be back if I ever need to do more leather work!

I'm new to leather work. Cami helped me with finding things, demonstrating how things worked and even opened early! I'm so happy we made the drive because I learned so much from Cami. The young guy working was also very helpful and kind. The level of customer service and expertise was off the charts. I'm so excited to use my new items. Your people are fantastic Tandy Leather!

I had a cut in one of my leather sofa cushions, so I stopped in Tandy Leather's to explore my options. Camy or Tamy (forgot her name) helped me and was super helpful. Although they don't handle this kind of repair, but she gave me several suggestions. She was super nice and knowledgeable, and exhibited a superb level of customer service! I wish there are more like her out there. Keep up the good work!
