I've been shopping here for roughly 5 months now. Every since my first visit I could remember security following me down every aisle. Something said look up and I kind of glanced, because he was like by the front still but would walk over ever aisle I transferred to. I do understand that they have a lot of people coming in taking stuff but come on you see me some times weekly if not every other week. Spending $400 but never less than $100 plus.Just last Friday, I walked in with my daughter shopped for groceries and I walked over towards the liquor and essentials aisle. I pick up spritz drink four pack and eye drop. I had for got something in the frozen food aisle as I processed to exit the aisle, cashier walked her wide short plump self from behind the counter waving her hands in the air. Just doing extra when she could have easily said oh honey I'm sorry to have to tell you but store policy said you can't leave this section with those particular items. I would have understood. I have two lazy eyes, with a bad hip and leg pain. Let's not forget that I come in every single time with my four year old daughter. I attend church but honey let me tell you I almost forgot that I was saved and had excepted the Lord, as my savior. Why would I teach my child different? I've noticed they don't even look at someone that is not black way.I live right across the street. I have to say I feel very disrespected. As I return to the counter I didn't pay for those items. At this time black security walked over to the counter and a black cashier, their fake ball playing self were being nice too my daughter, mind you before I made it back to the counter to pay they were already having words. Like okay y'all better watch out for church people cause I heard that they be packing. LoL!After paying for my items before I could even get to the door the black cashier stated that she didn't like my attitude. Why because I stated I come in there spending too much money to steal or because I stated I had just come from the nail shop spending $161, on me and my daughter. I'm the wrong one. Y'all gone catch me on that day I already told my pastor that she was better that me because I haven't yet mastered turning the other cheek yet. Overall they are very rude with poor people skills. They act like people from off the street in gangs.

I have shopped at this Safeway for about 14 years now and have seen it decline dramatically in the past year or two. Notice how almost all of the 5 star reviews are from years and years ago when the staff used to be comprised of normal, well adjusted human beings. I am tired of the poor customer service and cashiers that look and smell like homeless junkies. I can tolerate an unkempt cashier with hygiene issues, but I cannot put up with those that are also rude. Whenever I've shopped here and had an encounter with some of the sub-human cashiers, I leave the store infuriated and vow to not shop here again. Me and my husband on separate occasions had bad experiences with a cashier named Robert. This guy is a sociopath that gets off on insulting the customers. For a middle aged grocery store employee who obviously failed in life, he is aggressively arrogant and condescending. When my husband checked out with him on an earlier occasion, he proceeded to criticize my husband's purchases and parenting. His jabs at my husbands purchases were a little too personal and frankly, it's strange. We've never had a cashier over-step and insult us like he does. Tonight I had the displeasure of going through Robert's check out line and after I paid, he asked me rather loudly if I have WIC or EBT in a mean-spirited way! I replied that I don't and he gave me this doubtful look. I have never been asked that and he was clearly trying to insult me (perhaps because of my race) and was trying to get under my skin. The Indian woman in front of me in line was also subjected to his snarky and condescending comments. Safeway management: This cashier is a sociopath that is prompting a longtime customer of 14 years to shop elsewhere. Where are the friendly, professional cashiers that used to work here? Anyone that had any customer service skills must have moved onto greener pastures apparently.

This isn't the cleanest Safeway location around but at least they keep their aisles clear of clutter and the store remains at a reasonable decibel even through peak hours. This location has some decent quality meats, cheeses and fish and if you watch the weekly updated sales ads, you can save a fair amount of money overall. The checkout lines can get backed up fast, but at least they don't have a problem opening up extra lanes when necessary.

Customer service at this Safeway is awful. I was racially harassed by not 1, but 2 employees on separate occasions. First off, the old white male cashier greeted me with "Nihao Konnichiwa" in a very rude, mocking tone and then proceeded to make an innapropriate remark about my appearance as if I couldn't understand what it meant because I apparently can't speak English. On my way out, the woman manager with glasses gave me the dirtiest look Ive ever seen and tried to accuse me of stealing even though I clearly paid for my items at the register and was literally holding my receipt. No way to treat your paying customers.

Got a rotisserie chicken and all it is is a dead carcass there is literally no meat it's all bone like they cooked road kill or a baby chicken

I feel so bad that I sent my poor dad to the Starbucks here to ask for something and was shut down without even getting a few words in my the rude guy working there. I don't get it if you don't like your job or don't want to talk to ppl why are you there.

I have been shopping here the moment this Safeway started their business, they're not perfect in many ways, but since I live close by, I go there for convenience. OMG! My experience last evening, Dec. 28th, around 7:45 pm was shocking! I bought more than $100 worth of products, and found out I was being over charged for $.40. Not a big deal, I was not even planning to waste my time for that tiny amount. On my way out, I saw this woman sitting there chatting with another woman standing right by her side. I casually mentioned to her - here came the UNBELIEVABLE part - 1, she did not believe I was being over charged 2, she could not leave to double check the price, 3. "Only three people working here, we're all busy, nobody could help you!" 4, when I was absolutely shocked by her unreasonable attitude, she turned everything I said into an argument, and finally claimed "I refuse to serve you!" It took a while for her to finally show me her name tag: Balley

To another reviewer that also commented about Bailey--yes, 100% agree. This Safeway is a bit wonky with service, but Bailey is consistent and likely one of the few reasons I continue patronizing this establishment. She is friendly, cordial and knowledgeable. Thank you Bailey for being an outstanding employee to all you encounter at this location.The rest of the staff needs a brush up on customer service skills for sure. Some cashiers don't even say hello, don't thank you--barely a nod. It's hit or miss which is why the 4 stars.However, produce/meat, etc. are consistently fresh, and the aisles are clean and well organized. Never an issue there, which is really the reason you come, right?

OMG this is literally the worst and I mean the worst Safeway to go to please do not go to this Safeway if you don't wanna come out Super mad, out of like 20 registers sometimes but only sometimes there's one open if you're lucky They have four perfectly fine self checkout register but somehow they decided to open just two with a huge line of people waiting and I don't really care if the employees are friendly, but at least open two or three registers and I swear I'm not exaggerating this is all the time unfortunately I keep coming to the Safeway because its the only Safeway around me but geez horrible horrible customer service Safeway..

Oh boy, Anna, working in the liquor department was having a horrible day yesterday or is she always this grumpy and mean when a customer asks her for a bag for his purchase? Not sure, don't care but I was right behind a gentleman and she treated him so poorly that I was inclined to write this review. I believe she an assistant manager shame on you Anna!

The worst...and I mean the worst Safeway in California. This place has been losing customers for years. They got rid of most of their checkers. When you shop, there might be one checker and the self check-out line. Their self-check stations were soo sensitive you were always stopped by the machine for something. Once I went in there about 7:30am desperate to buy something, they had no checkers working and NOT ONE of their self-check locations were open. I just left my food at one of those stations and walked out.
