This company is a joke. We reported missed pickup several times via phone and online, but still no one come pick up the trash. Every time we called and told the same thing which is the trash would be picked up the next day. Guess what, NO ONE PICKED UP THE TRASH. Their customer service phone line wait time is crazy, been on hold for an hour and a half now, still waiting. And today is a Wednesday. very disappointed on their service. If you are a MANAGER at Republic Service looking at this review and all the other negative reviews, can you please take actions and fix the issues??

Absolutely awful collection service and "customer service" that makes an oxymoron of the phrase. Waste Management was SOOOO much better.

Such a trash company and disappointing customer service. I missed a trash collection on Monday and I called, they promise me will collect my trash on the next day, but there’s no one. Then I called again, they apologized and gave me promise again. In the past 6 days I called EVERY SINGLE DAY and they just promise and did nothing. Also, the customer service people lied to me several times. They told me will call me back but no call, they told me I can give them a call on Saturday morning before 1 pm if still no one pick up my trash. I called and no one answer my phone. What company are you???? Liars company? I’m gonna contact the leadership of your company until my problem got solved!!!

I'm quite disappointed with the service we've received from this company.We were promised trash containers, but after two months, they haven't delivered any (despite more than 6 or 7 phone calls). Every time I called, they assured me it would be sorted out the next day or week, but it hasn't happened yet (for 2 months).To make things worse, they asked us to put our trash curbside for pickup, but their drivers consistently skip our trash while picking up our neighbors' containers. I've reported this issue online and through customer service, but there hasn't been a solution.What's frustrating is that our designated trash pickup spot is in front of our garage. So, for two months, we haven't been able to park our cars inside our garage because Republic Service insists on us leaving the trash outside, with no follow-up.This level of service is disappointing, and I would advise anyone considering their services to think twice.

We're extremely disappointed with this company's service. Despite more than 6 or 7 calls over two months, they haven't delivered the promised trash containers.Even worse, their drivers consistently skip our trash while picking up our neighbors' containers, despite reporting the issue multiple times online and through customer service.Our designated trash pickup spot is in front of our garage, which means we haven't been able to park our cars inside for two months. This level of service is disappointing, and we'd advise others to think twice before using their services.

Alan (via phone-customer service representative-Spanish line) was very efficient in helping me complete my request that I had originally sent online twice before with no response from that department.The recycling truck driver dropped my container inside his truck and did not have the delicacy of replacing it the next day. I have been without a recycling bin for 3 weeks now, I waited patiently every week to see if my request was handled but here I am three weeks later with no container, Alan stated that the new container will be delivered next Wednesday.

NEW review 3.5 stars after 3 years - Phone service is now almost 4 stars. In office service near Boyce road is 5 stars. Drivers still do great work and hard work. Sometimes they do not fully empty the bin, with forklift. They are always in hurry, that pressure needs to stop, so bins are emptied fully at 90 degrees and not 45 degree drop. Bulk pickup is very, no issues there. There are still technical issues with website and apps, dont prefer to use it.######Previous review one star three years ago - Service detoriated in last one year. They don't answer phone for hours, multiple trials needed. Their apps don't work, as announced on answering message. Either customer service team or technical team are faking to customers. Their pickup drivers are still doing good job.

This is what happens when a company has the monopoly on a service -- lousy quality results. On average, in any given month, the trash and recycling trucks miss at least one of our three bins. And because we are a Friday trash day, this means our re-pickup gets scheduled on Monday and (hopefully) executed on Tuesday -- 4 days delay. Our house is on a "short segment" of a long street, so I suspect this has something to do with them forgetting our house REPEATEDLY. But repeated calls begging and pleading for a little attention to detail always elicit nothing more than sympathetic assurances that the issue with be escalated -- all of which yields nothing in reality. Been this way for over 5 years.

They collect our trash once a week. They have done their job well more than 95% of the time. There has been one miss (one bin was not collected) and one or two spills in close to two years.I segregate the trash meticulously. I hope they dispose / compost / recycle garbage as best as they can.Service: Trash removal & disposal

Woe be to those who live where only Republic Services is available for trash/recycling. I've had multiple instances of missed regular pickups and while customer service seems happy to schedule additional pickups during the week, they never end up coming, leading to piles of trash building up. What's worse is that their automated system marks the request as complete at the end of the day even if no one bothered to come.

I don’t like their system. If you call in for payment and you don’t have the account number, zip code and much more you can’t pay. I call other providers to pay my bills and they know who it is by the phone number. Public services not doing well.

Probably the worst service provider on Earth! I came here to do a drop off after I was told on the phone by them I could. When I showed up, everyone looked at me like what I was doing there?! No signs with directions or customer service. I had loaded my suv with cardboard and recycling Styrofoam for nothing. All to bring it back home and unload again.

Why is the city still contracting with this company??? Clearly the cheapest, but think there's a reason for that. They are lazy, leave garbage all down the street, your bins are never placed back where they pick them up from. Horrible Horrible service. Please find a new vendor!!Service: Trash removal & disposal

I started new service with republic services services and did not received bins as our property does not have any bins. It has been one month I have been requesting bins but no one delivered the bins. I really wish we have options in alameda county for the trash services that we can choose. I received the bill for the service that was never started.
