This is a long overdue review. I can't believe I kept it in my draft box for this long... We needed to replace concrete in our side yard with paver as we suspected there was pipe leaking underneath. We had multiple quotes and Mike offered us the most reasonable one. Mike is very knowledgable and provided us with a comprehensive project proposal. He is also very responsible as he visited on site very often, if it was not everyday. Plus, the whole crew was amazing as well, punctual and hard working.

Paver Life wrapped up my summer COVID project about a month ago and I couldn't be happier. They took my totally non functional 80's style backyard and transformed it into a modern oasis that me and my family have been enjoying every day since. The project took just about a month and consisted of roughly 1200 sf of pavers, 800 sf of artificial turf + putting green, and refacing of a stucco retaining wall with ledgestone and wall cap, including new steps, recessed wall lighting, subsurface drainage, water, electrical and a complete redo of landscape and irrigation. Mike is great, he takes a real hands on approach and will give you the straight story, no nonsense, non salesy attitude and fair pricing. His crews are safe, super hard working and checked in with us for approval before doing anything "permanent" to make sure things were placed to our liking. All this through the summer heat waves and wildfire smoke, not to mention a global pandemic. I would highly recommend Mike and Paver Life for any hardscape or landscape projects you've been thinking about!

Mike and Paver Life did a great job on my yard construction. We went from dirt-patch all the way up to fully landscaped construction in a few weeks. His team does as lot more than just pavers - they put in a fire pit, custom water feature, artificial grass, and trees for me - the whole package! He also worked closely with my landscape designer to figure out how the details fit together. Was really impressed by the quality of work and value. His crew really paid attention to the fine details, even things I hadn't thought to ask about, like putting in beautiful drainage covers or making sure the turf was properly boxed in. When I did make changes to the design, Mike was very flexible and helped me get those incorporated whenever possible. Will definitely do another project with him if we have more landscaping to be done. Thanks Mike and Paver Life for all the great work!

We bought a duplex in Burlingame and needed to redesign the courtyard with hardscape and landscaping. Dave M. helped us design the hardscape and showed us how the paver design can accent and integrate with the landscaping. This included not just aesthetics, but also things like slope for water flow away from the building, irrigation for the lawn, etc. No hard sell; he listened to and respected our ideas and budget. Mike C. then reviewed the plans with us and got started on the work within a couple weeks. Demo of old concrete walkways next to the houses and yard areas with overgrown plants and a couple trees was quickly done in a couple days, and the whole project completed within a couple weeks. This included not only the pavers, but also conduit for water & electrical to support future landscaping work. Mike also added additional post supports for posts that were previously supported by the old concrete. Dave and Mike were very wonderful to work with, the job was done as promised all with great results. If you want the job done right, on time and at a reasonable cost, I highly recommend Paver Life for your paving needs.

Mike and his team did a fabulous job renovating our backyard by installing a retaining wall, patios using porcelain pavers and synthetic grass. His design partner, Dave, did an excellent designing and providing estimates. My wife and I are extremely happy as it is rare these days to have a contractor who has integrity and is quality minded. He is customer focused and follows through on his deliverables.

Even if you have to spend a couple of thousand dollars more, look for some decent pavers. This guy does a shoddy unprofessional work. Promises you of warranty on labor nut just doesn't respond. You will be left with a dirty project wondering what to do with it.

At the last minute, I decided to use paving stones, rather than replacing my cracked cement driveway, with another cement driveway. Along with my driveway, I also did my front steps and walkway to backyard patio. When you factor in breaking apart the old driveway and walkways and hauling it away, it was a big job. I gave them free reign to design the project, because I was not that familiar with paving stones. And I am so beyond happy with the finished job. It looked so good, can't understand why anyone would ever consider replacing a driveway and walkway, with a regular cement one. The fact that paving stone is much less likely to crack again, compared to cement, makes it a no-brainer to me.

Called for a quote, was told they'd come out to see me next day at 1pm. At 1:30, I text asking where they are and they reply that they can't make it til 4. So I'm ok with that, I get it, busy day. 4:30 rolls around and I give them a call, they say they're just finishing up and are on the way. Luis doesn't show up until 9pm, he doesn't take measurements or give me a quote, just says he'll be back the next day with some equipment to determine how to level it out. Next day I get a text saying they can't make it until 5pm. They never showed. Didn't even have the decency to call to say they were running late or try to reschedule. I had to initiate all of the contact. Don't waste your time with this company.

(Copying an email I sent to Mike after the job was complete - speaks to the phenomenal job they did for our driveway/patio remodel. He came in as our middle bid and was so, so thorough in his measurements and walk throughs. We felt like he included every detail possible and would stay true to budget. And he did! In fact, we added on more projects for his crew throughout the job. His guys do fantastic work. If you want the best, go with Mike.) Mike: Thank you for everything. We couldn't have had a better experience working with you, Eddy and Luis. You all went over and beyond every step of the way. From being able to reach you via text whenever we needed something, to helping us with the paver design, to finding us a plumber AND an electrician during the project, to adding on the walkway...we were so, so lucky to have gotten your team for this monster of a project. It felt like you were as equally invested in the outcome. Like it was your own home. Thank you for taking such great care and pride in your work and transforming our contrete mess into a stunning social space. The pride in your work and attention to detail truly came through in the final product and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Mike is wonderful. He provided me the most comprehensive quote, when compared to other options I explored. He was here to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction and allowed me to make last minute changes to the plan at no additional cost. His quote/charge was also the lowest I had received. Best bet is to call him and get your paver/concrete/yard redone! He does run his projects/crew on multiple projects, so factor scheduling/timeline into your quotes. He ended up a bit behind his quoted schedule, but I forgot to add any penalties in his quote.

I came across Paver life on Home Adviser website, I had gathered many quotes but these guys were very reasonable/professional & their quote was very accurate. Came in on budget.. We had Kelly as our project manager.. super nice guy, great advise/ideas we had good communication throughout the job & he regularly came on site to check on his men & there work. He rebuilt 2 large retaining walls for us, installed a 2,000 sqft paver patio & artificial grass plus drainage system throughout. We are so happy with the quality of his work.. I can not fault it in anyway. Look out for the pics I posted on here... they speak for themselves..!!

I got paving done in my backyard from Paver Life. Mike is great! He provided great consultation based on his years of experience. This was backed up with reasonable pricing, on time completion of the job, skilled and courteous staff. Highly recommended!!!

Paver life is great, we are very happy we have them to do our backyard. Paver life provided free landscape design. The designer Dave is awesome, he is very patient and diligent about his work. I had been procrastinating about working on my backyard for months because I have a little toddler, I was really concerned that the construction noise would disturb his nap. I expressed my concern to the owner Mike before we started the project. He made sure the team work around my son's nap schedule. We really appreciate that the team take my request so seriously. Once we finished the design and signed the contract, they started the job within a week. And they worked every day except Sunday until the project was finished. And most importantly, they did great job! Highly recommend!

Mike and his crew did an awesome job. He did pavers on our driveway, front porch, backyard, sides and installed new sod for a lawn and did landscape lighting as well. He showed thorough professionalism and attention to detail. I had quite a few additions during the job and mike accommodated all of those in a flexible manner. His pricing is reasonable and most importantly, knowing that i had a constrained budget, mike proposed options to consider and bring down costs further. I will recommend him in a blink to whoever asks me for a paver!
