Salesperson Christian Cancino was too good, he patiently listened to our requirements, arranged test drive and showed us multiple options. He was not pushy to buy the car, gave the numbers upfront nothing is hidden. He did a great job. However, finance manager was rude at last before signing final paper work for not taking the additional maintenance packages. He was like why do you want to buy a new car if you don’t have money ? That felt very bad, I didn’t tell him anything that day just got my paperwork done without any additional packages and got my new car. Overall, good experience. If you go there meet Christian.

Negative stars. Poor customer service. Called 10+ times with no answer to get in touch with the service team to deal with an oil leak on my 2023 Santa Fe (9k miles), left a message with my name and number to be called back. Called again hours later and finally spoke with a sales rep who was rude and hung up on me when I asked for the manager. Called back immediately after being hung up on and spoke to someone else who was nicer, took my name and number down to ensure a call back as well as transferred me to the service receptionist who asked if she could “put me on hold” but hung up on me as well. Called back to both sales and service 10+ more times after being hung up on again, no answer from either team. Never received a call back from the message left for service or name/number taken down by the sales rep.
Drive the extra miles to San Jose or Dublin Hyundai. Both dealerships answered quickly and were extremely friendly and helpful with scheduling an apt.

After a very disappointing experiences with the sales manager at San Bruno Hyundai, the experience from initial contact to delivery at Fremont Hyundai was completely the opposite. A big thanks to Aki "Alex" Chui who was the best auto sales person I've worked with over the 15 plus auto transactions I've done so far. Alex was very responsive from initial contact, negotiations and final delivery. Finance Manager Francisco Portillo was also great to work with and of course offered additional services, but was not pushy at all and really processed the virtual paperwork quickly and efficiently. It was definitely worth the drive and time. I guess I should also thank San Bruno Hyundai for motivating me to find a dealership that actually wants the business!
