I feel like I traveled in time and reached a magical place that serves tasty and authentic Afghans food. The service was something out of this world the owner of the resturant asked me if it my first time eating afghan food and when I said yes he came out not only with a desert but with another dish (which I can't pronounce but OMG so delicious , beef dumplings I highly recommend). The place has an authentic music and I can see the wife putting love to the dish in the kitchen. Honestly all I can say this place is a gem . Thank you for your hospitality and I'll sure come back again 5+

Hands down the best afghan place we've tried, and run by such kind people :-) Super chill, easy parking, and never a wait to get seated!

Don't sleep on this joint. Another hidden gem. If you want to get on down this joint with the mi Lindo Sinaloa, and the Filipino joint... I highly suggest becoming a glutton and eat at all three one afternoon. Do it! Do it now! The kabobs are really good as well as the everything else. Those hidden places where you almost miss seeing them while driving by. Yes place this joint on your map. Super good.

This is a little family run shop, so if you're looking for authentic afghan food, you've found it. It appears most people order for take out. We didn't run into anyone dining in, but saw many coming in/out picking up their orders. The bolani: they had only sweet potato and potato (no leek) available. We did a half/half order, and it was so yummy! The mantoo was not our cup of tea, but being Asian, we are probably just being picky about our dumplings :) We ordered the lamb shank with rice. It was yummy-- the lamb was very tender and nicely cooked. The combination platter had chicken, steak, and a ground beef patty. The were out of the other ground beef, which I would have preferred. Kids could only do the lamb bc the other meat was too spicy for them. Everything came with yogurt and a green chutney sauce We got the yogurt cucumber sauce and the ensalata which I thought was going to be cucumber, tomato and onion pico de gallo type of side, but it was an actual salad. They were out of a number of things but overall a good meal was had. Oh and the owner (I think) was so friendly and came to chat with us and sent out a plate of baklava, which was so so so kind.

had such a rough day today so decided to drive over the bridge to the east bay to pick up some afghan food to cheer myself up and wow this place deserves all the stars. i was originally driving over to fremont kabob but last minute decided to go here to try something new and no regrets! Next time i'm in town I know where i'm eating :) the gentleman in the front was so kind he found out it was my first time so he gifted me a whole afghan naan on the house! and bc I had driven out from the city, on my way out he made me a plate with extra yogurt and chutney because he wanted me to try the bolani while it was fresh :') omg my heart felt so full you guys are the best anyways the food is amazing the bolani was so good i ordered half potato and half squash and mmmm the squash one is sweeter than expected and spiced to perfection and the potato was sooo good with the sauces also ordered the borani and the mantu and yummm would order all of it again 10/10 thank you for making my day a better one

Their food tastes amazing I personally loved the Munto. The service was unmatched, they brought us desert for free and when talking about my favorite dish they brought out their dinner and shared with us. I cannot believe the amount of hospitality they showed us and I wish we could have stayed longer. The first thing they said to us was," today you are our guests and you are at our house."they also found a way to connect with us and the rest of the families I was amazed. This experience was ethereal and I will definitely be driving back.

The lamb shank is tender and flavorful as are the chicken kabobs . The yoghurt drink has a mild flavor and the cucumber slivers in it make a great firefighter to the excellent and spicy dip. The flatbread is fresh with a nice chewy texture. Fremont has a large Afghan population with many restaurants serving them. We drove 22 miles past most of them to get to the best. Service is good and this small restaurant has a relaxing ambiance.

Food is really good here. Everything is very well marinated and not overly salty. The roasted eggplant was very tasty and I enjoyed the multiple flavor profiles. The Lamb kabob was also very moist and tasty could have used a little bit more seasoning but overall it was still a very good dish. I would definitely come back, however I do think some of the dishes here are overly priced for what you get. $28 for six lamb kabobs is pretty wild. And $17 for just a roasted eggplant.

I recommended to taste once Qabuli palaw and Beef Kabab and the taste is totally different from where you tasted it before. 100% recommended.

The glowing reviews on this place are spot on. Fall off the bone lamb dish and the best eggplant dish I've had in years. Husband wife team do a wonderful job.

First time to Afghan Awasana Kabob in Fremont on Fri 12/22/23. It's behind Mi Sinaloa and next to Damavand Market on Towers Way & Thornton Ave. Parking can be tough. I don't like parking over in that area. Order at the window inside the restaurant. We got 3 dishes: Chapli kabob $19.99 - 2 beef patties, rice, salad, Afghan bread. Tasty. Chicken & beef kabob $20.99. Meats were juicy not dry, rice, salad, bread. Hubby liked. Eggplant dish - they didn't have spinach dish so he mentioned eggplant. We liked it a lot, very creamy in yogurt sauce. He gave us Free 3 dumplings in yogurt meat sauce. Loved them. He also gave us 2 small baklava free and a loaf of the long Afghan bread! Highly recommend everyone go try them out. Bathroom- need a spoon key, it's outside on the right.
