I was told they had a caravan and when I arrived they didn't so I took the 16ft truck. Front tires were 25 psi low. Check engine light 8 hours into trip. Box was bondo sealed for water. Wipers were old so couldn't drive in rain. And that was their best looking truck. Incompetent customer service except they did reimburse me $380 of $3400 ish

I prepaid for a standard SUV. All they had was a subcompact crossover with 3/4 gas, 40k miles, and stains all over. They charged me $30 for car wash and asked for full gas when I returned it. The rental agreement said we must return the car in the same condition and they interpreted that as clean. I feel lucky they didn't charge me for trash and mileage. By the way, my same review on Google Maps was somehow removed.

If I could give zero stars, I would.I booked a rental truck over a month in advance of my move, which happened to be during Thanksgiving week. I understand this is one of the busier times of the year, but thats why I booked over a month IN ADVANCE. I was able to make a reservation at this location, which appeared to have the truck I needed. Fast forward to literally 3 days before my cross-state move and I get a call from 'inventory management' saying they did not have a truck available for me but they would "keep looking". I had to cancel and book with another company (who luckily had one, albeit much more expensive). I guess you 'get' what you pay for.NEVER booking with Budget again and will never recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable rental.

I got an email confirming that my truck rental pickup was at 5307 Central Ave. in Fremont. When I arrived and requested the truck, they told me that it was reserved for me in Santa Clara. I said to the man behind the counter "Why didn't someone call me and let me know!" He responded by mocking me in gibberish. I called an Uber and went to Santa Clara to pick up the truck. When I got there, the guy at the counter told me "I tried to call you several times." That may or may not be true because I will not answer an unknown number. The huge fail on Budget's part is that they did not leave a message identifying themselves as Budget. How d*** can these people be? Budget has 2 stars on Yelp and it is well-deserved. If I could sum it all up in one sentence, "Budget is the Midas Auto Service of rental trucks." Check out Midas reviews and you'll know what I mean.

Terrible customer service , got here at 7:55 just to wait here till 8:25 the place opens at 8, worker pulls up and doesn't even apologize or address the fact he was late then proceeded to take another 35 minutes just to even give us our rental which we already reserved online , if i could give no stars this place would get it. Called a bunch of times with no answer and called the national number and got 0 help as well , stupid workers do better !!

This horrible company charged me $113 for tire damage I did not cause and they had the nerve to do so over 6 months after the car was returned. They replied to my email saying they attached supporting documents which were not actually attached . Forget calling customer service , each call took an hour for a response and the calls were dropped when they put me on hold. The little response I did get was rude and condescending . I find this company to be stupid regarding business. Ironically I had a trip for a week booked with them , I gave that business to Enterprise who were just great . I don't know why Budget feels they can treat people this way , but it's bad business and I won't ever rent with them under any circumstance whatsoever. Shame on You Budget / Avis . Your a rip off and your rude and your customer service is the worst Minus 5 stars !!!!!!

It's hard to get someone on the phone. I've called them a couple of days before the pickup to make sure the truck will be there. They said it will. And guess what? On the morning of pickup, there was no truck and we had to drive to Walnut Creek to get one.

HORRIBLE! Had a one way car from Vegas and had to return it at 8 am at this location. I showed up at 7:50 to return and waited till 8:10 for someone to open the gate and it was a budget driver. He told me he could take the keys and give it to the worker. Tao is the one to review the car (at least that's what the receipt says), and he checked in the car at 8:47 WHICH IS 47 minutes after i needed to return it. Charged me an extra day and an hour and all the fees and insurance rates doubled because of the second day. Luckily customer service took care of it but i don't recommend this place at all. One other person was waiting with me at the gate and he said he works for a company and picks up the budget cars and he says that the worker always comes in super late and they have to wait also. Idk what's up with this place but someone needs to get fired!!!!

Tony and the team always goes a extra mile to find me a specific vehicle that I'm looking for ASAP. They bring excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable in what type of vehicle I might need for a specific occasion/ trip. Thank you guys and I look forward to rent from you again!

This goes for Budget as a company, not solely on this location. I rented a truck online a month prior. I've spoken to customer service multiple times to confirm and or ask additional questions (I was moving out of state). Not once did they mention that the location I had reserved a month prior had closed down. I was beyond disappointed because I took time off work and hire movers to help with only to find out, it was closed and without informing me, they changed my location. I had to push out my move out date one day. Which caused me more money for another day in my old place, and for the movers to come back. I get to the Fremont location to pick up the truck. Customer Service is not on the list if there is even a list. The truck was dirty, smelled like a wet dog, and the front bumper was hanging off, windshield wipers didn't work and I had to pull over for 2 hours to allow the rain to subside. I wiped down the inside of the truck, placed an air freshener inside as well. And I was told by an employee they don't wipe down anything after each rental. Being we're in the midst of COVID-19, you would THINK that a company such as Budget would be in compliance with CDC codes. NOPE! My girlfriend who rode out with me was sneezing and coughing the whole ride there. I called the company and even spoke to a manager, he said 'Oh well, nothing we can do." I was beyond shocked! It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Clearly the company name Budget speaks for it's self. I have many friends that are moving to NV and I always inform them to make sure they don't rent any trucks or cars from Budget. Their nothing but a headache and moving out of state is no walk in the park.

I walked three hours to pick up a Budget van yesterday, and found out that they close at noon. They're charging me $75 for my no-show for a $25/day van.

Horrible location. Not only did they not have the truck that we reserved 4 weeks ago but the guy at reception just seemed clueless of what he was doing. There's no overnight drop-off either. I'd say go elsewhere if you have other choices.
