I spent a long time in the automotive industry, and I can tell when a salesperson is being genuine. Chris is solid as it comes. Easy communication, quick process, and an honestly represented car. Buying a car in the price range he sells is always going to be a gamble, but he did everything he could to walk me through the flaws and issues on the car. It was priced well against the market and he even helped me get the car home. Couldn't be happier.

This review is long overdue. I bought a 2006 Subaru Forester back in July of 2019. It was a salvage title with over 150k miles, and all this made me a little nervous, but I'm happy to say it still is running great. This is a car that got me through a major life change and has taken me on many trips to and from Eureka -- and one trip to Seattle and back. Whenever I had any kind of question or issue, I texted Chris, and he was always super prompt and helpful in his response.Honestly, I am so happy that a business like this exists. I bought a car for about 4k that has been reliable for over 4 years. Sure it has needed some work, but compared to someone who buys a car on credit, has a monthly bill, and the added fear of having that car broken into (I live in Oakland), I have been able to put that money to work in investments.Thanks, Chris!

I have SO many positive remarks to say about this place. Chris has helped me purchase reasonably priced cars for 20 years now. He will work with you to find a car on his lot that serves your needs and fits within your budget. I have had little to NO trouble with the several Subaru's and one VW that I purchased from him. Chris is an absolute pleasure to work with. Scheduled a viewing over Friday evening and Saturday morning, was extremely accommodating, noticed an issue I hadn't seen and had it fixed himself immediately, and processed all the paperwork on the spot. The car was high value for the price. Honest guy with high integrity and cares about people. This will be my first spot and recommendation whenever I or someone I knows needs a car going forward.

Full disclaimer: I haven't bought a car here. However, this review is a reflection of my interaction with Chris for over a year now. I found Chris' postings on Craigslist when I was looking for a car. The first thing that stood out to me was how kind and responsive he was, and even when I asked about cars he wasn't selling, he was willing to pull the Carfax and give me his expertise. When my husband bought a used car that didn't pass smog, Chris gave us guidance on what the problems could be and it ended up working and passing smog. This is a reflection of the type of dealership you would be going to. Honest, kind, knowledgeable, and willing to help you find the right vehicle for you. Chris and continue to stay in touch and I refer him to anyone I know who is looking for a used car or needs guidance on a vehicle. This is the place to come.

We bought two pre-owned cars from Auto World for our kids. The experience was very pleasant. Chris was very focused on ensuring that the cars will meet our needs. He never rushed us for a quick sale. Instead, he provided as much detail as we needed and allowed us to get back to him whenever we were ready to buy, The actual sale transaction was quite smooth. He offers multiple payment methods and everything turned out exactly as expected. He took care of DMV paper work and even made sure there was gas in the cars to drive us home.The best part is that two weeks later both cars are running great!!! Thank you, Auto World, my son and daughter are very happy with their new gadgets!

Chris saved me. My van had the really expensive catalytic converter stolen and he took it off my hands and gave me the cutest little Subaru last year which has been a gem. He did all the paper work and I mean ALL. AND he has a killer mechanic that does all the upkeep and maintenance on her when she should and will need it. Totally the all service car person! Thank you!

I bought a used Subaru Forester here in 2019. It seemed like a reasonable value at the time. However, the tires turned out to be retread and two of them blew up within 5,000 miles, causing significant damage to the car. After getting that fixed (and getting new tires) I was able to put about 40,000 more miles on the car. By that point it was profusely leaking coolant, and I had to top up the coolant every couple hundred miles. It had some other smaller issues which surfaced in the first 10,000 miles I drove it - the windshield wiper transmission/linkage broke, and the headlights would unplug themselves every so often (this was easy to fix with some electrical tape). Overall this car was legitimately unsafe to drive in the condition I purchased it.I paid $4000 out the door for this vehicle and got about 45,000 miles out of it. However I had to spend quite a bit to fix the wiper assembly, new tires, repairs from the tires blowing up, etc. It ended up being a bad investment and frankly pretty dangerous. I would NOT recommend anyone purchase a used car at Auto World Fremont.
