It's OK but most of the pricing is more than 99 cents.

Came in to shop a couple days ago and this woman was handling the small plant section. I began looking through them and was ready to put one in my cart when she aggressively took it out of my hands, and said she had picked that out for herself already. I was absolutely baffled that an associate would do such thing! I myself have worked in retail and typically if you are stocking an item you cannot hold it until after your shift. Watch out for this one!

I've been shopping from this store for the last 4-5 yeras, but recently I notice prices are gone too much and anytime I go there most of shelves are empty. Customer service need a lot of improvements.

In Hayward 1.30 This new management in Fremont that took over a year ago if not longer has raised prices so much. Karma on you for taking advantage on us !

I always find something useful there. I bought few good plants, decorations for the Halloween, some great fresh berries

This store has deteriorated after pandemic, even after adding $(1-8) range products, not staffed properly. Profits may be too attractive.

I'm comparing this store to the Dollar Tree on Stevenson Boulevard.I've been here before to get non-food items, but today I actually decided to do a little grocery shopping and honestly I would rather shop at the Dollar Tree. This is based on what I like, so no doubt others may disagree. This place has produce and a good-sized bread section. It is well stocked. But I would only come here to get certain specific items that the Dollar Tree for whatever reason doesn't have; but...you would be paying around 2-3 dollars for those things, despite the name "99 cents ONLY". I would rather go to Lucky's for those items and then just hit up the Dollar Tree after. The frozen section was meager. They don't have 5-packs of Ramen. They don't have 1.5-liter bottles of soda. The store is one quarter grocery and three-quarters everything else.Remember, I am comparing to the Dollar Tree. Two things that really bugged me: the hand basket I was using was disgusting.I bought a can of Southgate vegetarian chili beans (because they didn't have regular chili beans) and it was spoiled; opened it up and it had white stuff on top and it smelled horrible. I threw it out. Expires in 2026, so I don't know what happened there.I will not be shopping for groceries here again. Disappointing. Since a lot of the items are not 99 cents (like the store is named), I will be going to regular grocery stores and the Dollar Tree.I've also noticed something bizarre about the owner's replies to the other reviews: they don't address the concerns of negative reviews and instead treat them as if they're positive reviews; it seems sarcastic. But they do however acknowledge what people mention in the positive reviews. That's not how an owner should act.For the record, my review is negative, but the owner's response to this review will probably be: "Thank you for your wonderful comments! I am so glad you had a great experience here!"So yeah...

Very horrendous smell. Had to leave my shopping experience due to this. Came back almost a month later and the smell still remains.

Great store. Nice clean and organized. This is the store on El Camino. I've been to many Dollar Stores, but this is the best one and cleanest one yet ! Congrats to the manager of this store. Outstanding job !

I have seen and had the pleasure to meet Ronnie Miller working at the store in Fremont, California on Fremont boulevard for five years now. I’ve always been impressed with his work. He is super friendly and very helpful! He always has a good attitude! I can tell he takes pride in his job! I have seen him take well care of the store itself, including customer safety and store asset protection. HE IS THE BEST EMPLOYEE HERE! GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!! HE DESERVES IT!
