$ Beale Feed & Pet Store
3441 Mt Pinos Way Unit #167, Frazier ParkThe Beale Family has a well stocked feed & livestock store. They are reasonably priced given their stock is probably not local but freighted in. I purchased a horse fly guard from Chewy & today realized had I bought from Beale I would have saved $7 for like item. They try to be as helpful as they can with their local customers. Going beyond what other stores do to help. They do an excellent service for the mountain.

Pet Care
Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital, Inc.
837 Lebec Rd, Frazier ParkStopping at nearby Fern Lake, part of Pine Mountain Club, we had just arrived with our terrier mix, Keiko, when she gobbled some jackass fisherman’s discarded fishing lure, including what turned out to be a very large hook that lodged at the back of her throat!
Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital came to our rescue in every way. We called and were invited in on an emergency priority, traveling the 30 miles to their hospital where they stood ready and waiting to help. And they were great to both Keiko and us, explaining next steps and risks, and working step by step to sedate her for xrays, then interpret the results and prepare the next step.
Keiko was lucky. The hook set just below her tongue and Dr Cosko was able to remove it with heavy sedation. It’s two days later and Keiko is already back to her old (she’s nearly 13 but acts about 5) self!
While we want to throttle some careless fishermen for leaving fish-scented tackle for our curious dog to swallow, we can’t say enough good things about Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital! Their facility had everything Keiko needed.

The Red Dot Vegetarian kitchen
3221 Mt Pinos Way, Frazier ParkI got tofu curry -- totally delicious. Also got an order of naan bread. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, so this became a second, just as delicious meal later. The atmosphere was calm and comforting. I ordered chai and should have specified almond milk because the coconut milk had the wrong flavor profile, as they would say on cooking shows. That was not the fault of RD, but of me.

Mike's Pizza Co
6930 Lake Pl, Frazier ParkMike's is great. Some of the best pizza I've come across in CA, and I like to stop there any time I'm going to Mt. Pinos. Wish it was closer to home. Chill spot. Feels like you're in another time. The people there are friendly.

La Leña Mexican Restaurant
16236 Pine Valley Ln, Frazier ParkOk, so here is a little Mexican restaurant mostly off the beaten path. Food was really good. The young lady who served us did a great job serving a sudden group of 20.
