Ran in to get a few items and checked out with the only cashier open in front. From reading the other reviews it looks like I ran into the infamous Gary. He didn't even say a word to me as I said "hi" and "thank you" after I got my receipt. He was just looking at me like I just stole something. Very rude...I get it though, I'd hate my life too if I was 65 years old working as a cashier at Rite Aid. Won't be coming back here again.

Came to pick up a prescripton.arrived 1 hr.after the est.ready time.they tell me to wait, which I did.i waited over 45 minutes, the guy never called my name.He waited until I asked him, and by some miraculous coincidence, it was suddenly ready!, he let me sit there and simmer.bad karma,eat a dick!

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to, with the worst employees and customer service. You walk up and wait in line and none of the "pharmacists" will acknowledge you. It's like they have never heard the phrase "Hello, I'll be with you in just a moment." Instead you are met with side eye and silence. My doctors office was just on hold with them for over an hour. Doctors office told me to go to Rite Aid because they aren't picking up the phone. I get here and ROBIN tells me that isn't true and they have spoken to them 5 (FIVE) times already. Then why has it taken 3+ days to get one bottle of medication? Why would it ever be appropriate to say my doctors office is lying to me? Robin's and Jacqueline's behavior is completely unacceptable. They refuse to communicate with you. And when they tell you "Your medicine will be ready in 20 minutes," they really mean at least 1.5 hours. My mother just had KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY. And the Rite Aid employees refused to pick up the phone for over 30 minutes while I was waiting on medication for her. My mother was trying to talk to them because she physically couldn't leave the car to come inside and get clarification on the situation. They have ZERO customer awareness and no people skills what-so-ever. Laura was the only good employee at this place and she had to quit because of how terribly this place is run. Also, there is an older male cashier that is SUPER creepy (Gary). He constantly flirts with all of the women that go in there (even the young girls). His attitude is also atrocious. I do not feel safe in that Rite Aid when he is on shift. The other elderly, male cashier makes rude and inappropriate comments about what you buy. How did the Rite Aid on Brookhurst manage to interview and hire all of these awful people? It truly baffles me. This place is incredibly uncomfortable to be in because of the environment that the pharmacists (and Gary) create. We live down the street so this has been my family's pharmacy for YEARS. We are finally fed up with their behavior and will hopefully get all of our information transferred to CVS or Walgreens. (And this can only happen if the Rite Aid employees can correctly complete a transfer, which I doubt). Thanks for reading. I hope you never have to experience this place within your lifetime.

My positive review is for my booster vaccine appointment. The appointment is done via their online portal. The check-in process was even easier and prompt. Overall, it was very convenient since my first two doses were given at Disneyland at the beginning of the year and it was super stressful then. Thank you for the excellent service and the parting gift of hand sanitizer! Just pick a time that the pharmacy is slow so that you can pop in and out in 30min or less.

I don't know if they want customers business at this location, I've been here twice this week and it's like a oven in there, very uncomfortable, they don't even scoop ice cream at this location probably because it's so damn hot in there.

Apparently, Rite Aid does NOT follow CDC guidelines! Made my appointment for my booster, showed up, and was turned away because I had the J&J vaccine. The CDC says a Moderna booster is perfect if you had the J&J vaccine. But #RiteAid does NOT follow CDC guidelines! I will now boycott Rite Aid, and I invite you to do so with me.

First time in, last time in! Couldn't find anyone to help me ask the pharmacist a question and you think the response would be nice but it surely wasn't she was rude and dismissive time to regroup and have a treat your customers with positivity meeting

The pharmacy never answers the phone. Spent 3 hours total on hold over 4 days. Went into pharmacy in person while still on hold. Went to finally pick up blood pressure meds when ready 5 days later. Had a simple question on insurance during purchase. Pharm tech put my order aside and started helping another customer. I asked that they run the transaction anyway as I was on a schedule. Pharmacist came to run my credit card and asked if I had any questions. I asked why the service provided seemed so incompetent. Pharmacist said they were busy. I said my time is no more or less important than theirs or anyone else in line. She then went total snowflake and accused me of harassing her. I said “ you asked me if I had any questions” I asked a question.I was calm, and polite the entire time. Criticism is not harassment. Switching pharmacy even though this is across the street. Visit was on 10/3/2021 at 11:02-11-15 a.m ( they also technically opened late) Will be following up with corporate

I would give this place negative stars if I could. They get calls for prescriptions, text you when it's ready, then don't have it filled. I waited a week to get a prescription that I needed badly, asked them to transfer it to another place, but they didn't do it. My doctor called in the prescription several times, and when I got there, they had no record of the call. Then they texted me and said it was ready, but didn't have it filled. Worse than any of this, their phone line is ALWAYS BUSY. You cannot get through to anyone on any day. Who the F*** IS MANAGING THIS PLACE !!! F****** fire them

This pharmacy is a complete joke. Its so difficult to get through to any one to order refills or make sure your meds are ready for pick. Not to mention most of the time my son's ADHD meds are always out of stock and never available when they say they will be. Yesterday my doctor called in some new prescriptions to be filled for me for an upcoming surgery next week so I can have them ready ahead of time. I got a call from the pharmacy saying they don't think it should filled because of a previously filled medication and stated that my doctor subsequently cancelled it. I called my doctor/surgeon and he said he is prescribing it and to pick it up. The pharmacy refused to fill it. Wow! I didn't know it was the pharmacists business what meds the doctor is prescribing me or why they think I should or should not be taking them. Its between me and my doctors. I think ill be going elsewhere.

Check out person for 3rd time is talking with another employee as I approach check out. He and is fellow employee appears disturbed as I approach check out, he breaks off conversation and rushed over to check me out!. This is the 3rd time on a weekend I've been checked out by this clown. First as I am entering phone number into rewards, he reached over to punch in numbers, I say stand down I got it! He then asked birth date (alcohol) I tell him then he stands looking at the computer display . I say again birthday date (over 65) he them turns to me and said "chill out"! I am sorry I interrupted his conversation with the other employee, I will be more careful in the future to disrupt his personal time with my future visits Saturday June 12 2021 approximately 5 pm!

Came in for some ice cream got to the register and greeted by the two best salesman Gary and Rollins because with just a few words, we bought a famous thrifty ice cream scoop, handful of candy, multivitamins and planter. These two made our night with warm conversation and tips and tricks on shopping the rite way at rite aid. Yes, will be visiting Rollins at his Costa Mesa location.
