Jeff Clark is an absolute rockstar loan officer! We recently refinanced our home with him (for the second time!), and the experience was even better than the first. When we decided to refinance to consolidate debt and fund some home improvements, we were thrilled to find Jeff had moved to a new company. He was MORE than happy to help us navigate the process again, and this time, we were able to secure a VA loan with an incredible rate and fantastic service.
Jeff's communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. He kept us informed every step of the way, which completely eliminated the stress and uncertainty that often come with refinancing. We always felt like we knew exactly what was happening and when.

When I used Optimum, it was the second time I had ever gone through a mortgage application. The first time was with a local lender, and the second (most recent time) was with Optimum (Erin Long).
Using Optimum was easier than the previous local lender AND had much better rates. This translated to a much smoother process that was efficient and very cost effective. When I need another mortgage or to refinance again, I will definitely use Optimum/Erin Long - I can't recommend them enough!

Robert and Alyssa were amazing to work with from start to finish! I was facing some challenges with rising interest rates (even after the .5 point fed rate cut), but from day one Optimum was able to provide the most competitive interest rate and recommended locking in as soon as possible, which I did. After locking in and starting the process on a Tuesday, appraisal was ordered and happened the very next day on Wednesday morning and my realtor and I had the appraisal in hand by Wednesday afternoon. Robert and Alyssa were then able to complete all the required paperwork and get us to clear to close (CTC) status in 2 days!
During the next few days Robert and his team worked very hard to make the most efficient use of seller credits, explaining all the options and providing the best path forward. He explained all the options for temporary buydowns and how that program works and chose the best option, which allowed me to use my seller credits in the most efficient way possible and bring minimum cash to close, which ended up being just my 5% down payment. They were even able to use the remaining seller credits to buy a partial point, permanently reducing the rate even further than their already competitive interest rate. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process.
I was then at title signing closing documents 8 days after starting to work with Optimum, and ended up closing on my new property in 10 days (this would have been only 9 days but the seller was not able to sign until a day after he had planned, something completely out of our control). My contract with the seller had originally called for a November 1 closing date, but due to Robert and Alyssa's excellent work I was able to close one week earlier than planned on October 25.
Overall my experience with Robert and Alyssa was amazing and I am very thankful I placed my trust in their company! I would highly recommend Optimum First Mortgage to anyone looking for an awesome lender to work with.

This review is quite belated, as it unfortunately slipped through my consciousness for a few months; however, I would be remiss if I didn't express my profound gratitude for the help and guidance that Annie provided throughout a rather challenging loan process and close.
To no fault of Annie's, I must have hit every roadblock conceivable in what should have been a rather smooth closing, but Annie was there, literally night and day (including one day when she was boarding a plane in Detroit), to keep me from throwing in the towel. Because of her kind and calm demeanor, because of her advocacy to help me with a rigorous underwriting process, and because she was so willing to look at all options with me, I now have my little dream residence near the ocean in San Diego.
As a final plug, I have worked with numerous loan officers through a variety of transactions, and Annie was the best in my experience...you won't go wrong working with her. Although I would like to say that it is the mortgage company that makes the difference in a selection, it is definitely the people that work there that make or break the experience, and because Optimum is a reflection of Annie's work and customer service, it is because of that that I rate Optimum as excellent. Thank you, Annie, and wishing you all the best in your next chapter of life! If our paths cross again during my refi process, it would be a pleasure. Take care.

Recently, I had my mortgage refinanced with Optimum First Mortgage. Starting from day 1, Kim did an excellent job of explaining every single detail of the offer and what differentiates OFM from the rest of the lenders. With no lender fees and no points, I felt I got the best bargain when compared to other offers I had. She also explained about a unique offering from OFM that automatically refinances your mortgage with them for FREE if the rate goes down by 0.25% minimum after 6 months of prompt mortgage payment. Kim worked closely with me to keep me informed and closed the deal with 30 days she had promised. I am more than happy to have found OFM through Kim for my mortgage needs and I highly recommend their services.

Ms. Vanessa Cisneros was truly first-class all the way. From initial call to closing, she exceeded expectations at every turn with responsiveness, facts, and customer service with a smile. She always advocated for my position during this process and to consider certain important aspects along the way. This was our first time buying a home, and in a very competitive and quick market. Having to find somewhere to receive a mortgage letter from quick, we first saw OFM on Forbes, but were a bit skeptical of them due to their mortgage rate being much lower than the other lenders, but we decided to reach out and see what they were about.
We then got connected with Jason Boggs, who was wonderful to work with! Extremely patient and always staying on top of our 30 day close. Being first time buyers, there was a lot to learn and he was always willing to chat or help when needed. We cannot express how thankful we are for him!
We closed on time and have now been at our new home for a month and know we made the right choice. We will definitely continue to work with Optimum in the future.
