I’ve had ORTHO-K for about 7 years since I was 11. My experience with ORTHO-K has been positive and really helped me in life; the contacts are easy to maintain and manage, alleviating my worry about wearing contacts or glasses during the day. Dr. Truong is also attentive and informative - he is a doctor that truly cares about the well-being of his patients. I recommend ORTO-K with Dr. Truong to anyone considering doing it.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!
☑️ They take Medi-Cal, but still treat you respectfully.
☑️ Calling for an appointment was quick & easy.
☑️ Good selection of brand name frames, very affordable.
☑️ Impressive selection of testing equipment, surprised me!
☑️ Staff is super friendly and patient, professional.
☑️ Dr. Tina Dao was fantastic, she checked my eyes much more carefully than Sam's Club and LensCrafters.

I was not looking forward to getting my eye exam, despite having significant eye issues for years. My last 2 eye exams were at BIG BOX stores and they basically sold me what THEY felt was best for me. I had $350 progressive lenses that are useless for computer work & video editing.
Honestly, having medical insurance means nothing if the doctors are useless. I was very happy with my visit to Fountain Valley Optometry. I brought my son and we both got exactly what we needed with the ability to choose what we wanted.

Two weeks ago, I walked in first thing in the morning as an emergency without an appointment. I was seeing double vision out of nowhere, and my head was spinning. The first person I met, Kevin, told me they were booked two weeks out, but when he heard my situation, he told me to wait for the doctor and he would do what he could. Dr. Tina Dao did make time to see me, both that morning, and later, at the end of the day. She was very friendly and professional, as was the entire staff, including Javier, who tested me in the morning, and Hien, who ran some tests later in the day for me.I am still dealing with my double vision situation and will be seeing an ophthalmologist, but I thank fountain Valley optometry for making time to see me and I would highly recommend them. I live in New York, but if I lived in Fountain Valley, I would be a regular patient.

Read the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. Most businesses make multiple accounts to give themselves 5 stars to offset the less-than-stellar reviews. I have been here numerous times. This review is not just one incident, but an accumulation of multiple experiences. The products work. The doctor and most of the staff have been professional, informal, and cordial. The one employee that is not any of those is the older Asian gentleman that speaks with a disrespectful tone, has a condescending attitude, and just reaks of a poor salesman. He audibly and visibly gets agitated if a customer asks him questions about their products and services and will answer them in a condescending manner. Only time he is remotely pleasant is when a customer is shelling out big money for premium products and add-ons. If the customer doesn't want to spend the big money (or can't because money is tight), he will treat them like an unwanted chore and just rush through the transaction. Whenever I dealt with him I always left unpleasant. If you got big money to spend and you notify that to the older Asian gentleman, he will cater to you and your experience will be decent at best. If you're tight on money or do not want to buy into all those premium add-ons and you do get that older Asian gentleman, just walk out. Go somewhere else where you are treated with basic human respect and decency. Find one that listens to your needs and treats you well. You do have options. Remember that "Fountain Valley Optometry" is not the only optometry in the area.

I like this place. The optometrist is very friendly and cares. She doesn't try to upsell you on unnecessary things and the office staff are friendly. I recommend this place. Clean and efficient.

So like, me and my girl play Valorant together all night until like 5am. My gf just got her blue light glasses her and now she's not my pocket Sage anymore. She's my battle sage now. These glasses are a buff because they're making her shoot better and she's been getting sm kills. She's carrying me now man..... The doctor and optometrist here are so FCKING NICE LIKE FR!! THIS PLACE IS DIFF. The doctor who helped her and adjusting her glasses perfectly and she was so grateful about it. THANK YOU. she loves their energy, vibe, and customer service. Amazing People. If you need glasses, come here bro you won't forget it. This place really cares about you. They are well informative and they know they're stuff. The place has so much glasses to choose from too(:

I've been living in Fountain Valley since 2002 and seen many changes to this little strip mall, places coming and going, and yet I hadn't tried this Optometrist! How can that be! A friend of mine had tried them a year ago and really liked Dr. Tina Dao. They still go here so I decided to walk in, check with my eye insurance and make an appointment. I love this place! The staff is very kind and considerate, everything was explained to me, as in the exam, what is covered/not covered, and how best to fit my needs for vision improvement. Dr. Tina Dao took her time with me, asked meaningful questions related to what I wanted contacts for, (I already had 2 pairs of prescription glasses which were cumbersome to carry around, one for reading, one for distance, which I didn't really need). I wanted a combo contacts lens, if possible, and she suggested a bifocal. After multiple tests, (her equipment is automated and the tests go pretty fast), she was able to give me a couple of contacts to try. I have in my eyes a "daily multifocal" contact lens, a follow up appointment in a week, and I can read this phone WITHOUT glasses AND go off and drive without having to carry any extra Stuff! While it's not perfect, I've had them in for an hour or so, (you give and take with a multifocal contact lens), and I still have another box to try. However, my vision is way better than it was and I'm happy!

Very thorough and makes me great suggestions for my eye care. I've been to many optometrists with my dry eye issue. Only place that has offered me suggestions and provided solutions to help!

I honestly drive all the way here from Irvine because the doctor very kind and knowledgeable. She reminds me of my mother. The staff are also very friendly but the wait has been getting worst and worst every time I come visit. You have to sit and wait for about 25-30 minutes sometimes longer before they see you.

It was time for me to have my eyes exam. I was able to place an appointment in no time. Very little wait time and the check in process was easy. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. Helped me picked out my frames and lens choice. Got my new glasses within two weeks. Got lots of compliments.
