I almost did not purchase my new chair/bench cushions at DFFH as I was so put off by the treatment I received from Ms. Manager. She rudely snatched a fabric that I had selected from Patrick's hands as he prepared to assist me at the checkout counter. It was such distressing experience to deal with her overwhelming style of rushing to her own opinions and directives. My opinions and concerns did seem important. I left upset and with a negative attitude, but let Patrick know I would likely return when she was not on the premises. I did so a day or two later and with guidance from Patrick and help from Jeffrey, I completed my transaction and received my cushions sooner than quoted, a very unique experience! I have been satisfied with the quality of the fabrics I chose and the workmanship and plan to return with other ideas for Patrick to assist me with, but definitely at time when Ms.Manager is not at the store. I do trust his knowledge and experience.I agree with other commentators that the atmosphere of the store is tense and cold, probably having to do with some of the attitudes the staff hold for one another; perhaps, like a burned out marriage, the love is gone. For warmth and cheer, shop elsewhere.

This is a great source designers and for retail clients as everything is marked down and in stock. They also have workrooms that do reupholstery draperies decorative pillows etc. As an interior designer I have used them as a source for over 6 years. Highly recommend!

Fantastic ! Patrick and Joe have been serving my home decorating for nearly twenty years. A wide selection of beautiful in stock fabrics as well as several thousand special order items in an extensive library. A great place to have all of your home decorating needs fulfilled. Also a very professional in house upholstery workroom - to give anything in your home a new, fresh look. Truly excellent.

I thought I had written a review for this store a long time ago, but it never posted. Before the pandemic even began I was thinking of redoing the upholstery on our living room furniture. I had fabric and started out with another fabricator who waffled at the end at the price I was quoted. I ended up at the Decorative Fabric Warehouse just to peek around at the remnants that they had for chair seats and ended up talking to Patrick. It was an amazing beginning of a relationship that ended with having every piece of upholstered fabric in my house redone. He even talked me into reupholstering some that I thought of giving away because I was sure it would be prohibitively expensive. He is a master of design and is very good at respecting budgets. I had some of my own fabric for some projects and that was not an issue with just using their labor. In the end, I even ended up having drapes and window treatments done. I recommend their service highly.

Initially, my experience started out in a satisfactory manner . Amanda helped me with choosing fabric for a project I was completing . I needed roughly 12 yards for a vw camper interior and I was able to pay a deposit for sample books to take home . As I found a few samples, Amanda told me over the phone , those samples were discontinued due to a shortage of fabric and dye. Fair enough . I found a couple more samples and called another day. I'm assuming the douche canoe who goes by Patrick , answered the phone and was very rude. On two occasions , he said he would "Get back to me", and took my phone number . In reading previous reviews here , this is common- no call back. So, I go in to return the sample books, hoping to deal with Amanda, and was instead met by this punk weasel. "What do you need?".... I replied, "I'm returning your sample books, give me my deposit." Respect is a two way street. Wimps like him usually run their mouths to the wrong person and pay. I took my receipt, and my business to Backyard Expressions in Huntington Beach . Somehow, they were able to obtain the fabric that this joke of a business could not. I now have a beautiful vw camper interior . Pay attention to the reviews here. Run from doing business here. The theme here is , rudeness. Got it Patty?!?

The selection is outstanding but the service leaves much to be desired. My husband and I came into the store a number of times to select fabric for dinning room chairs and every time we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome by the sales representative. If you are looking for a fabulous selection of Upholstery fabric all in one place without having to go to LA this is the place for you. If you are looking for a kind and welcoming atmosphere.....not so much!

Decorative Fabric House has an incredible selection of gorgeous fabrics from all over the world and as well as custom design services for upholstery and drapery. There is always exquisite new merchandise every time I enter the store, and rich textiles that are high quality, soft and durable. There is inspiration at every turn. The owner Patrick is particularly charming, knowledgeable and full of creative ideas. A must-go design gem for Orange County!

I've been to Decorative Fabrics dozens of times for small items (pillow fabric and trim) or larger projects (drapes and duvets covers) and Patrick and the rest of the staff have been creative and helpful. I always recommend friends to Patrick and whenever anyone has had a reupholstery project, they have been delighted.

Do you have a piece of furniture that is the right size/shape for your house but that has become threadbare from use? Me too. You can buy new furniture, of course, but you'll likely spend a lot of money for something that will fall apart in a few years. They just don't make 'em like they used to. There's not a lot of hardwood frame furniture coming out of China these days. So, if you've got quality old furniture consider reupholstering it. I reupholstered a vintage (now 30+ years old) 9' sofa and chair-and-a-half 10 years ago. Decent job, but not close to the quality provided by Decorative Fabric and Furniture House. Fast forward 10 years to the present and it was looking shabby, so I decided to refurbish it again. Received my DFFH reupholstered furniture today. Much better fabric. Much better reupholstering quality. Fabric pattern centered/aligned. Piping sharp. Nothing slipshod about it. Patrick was a big help from the get go. Patient. Knowledgeable. Nice. No hard sell, just wants you to be happy. And, THIS IS IMPORTANT, they don't try to gouge you at DFFH. Good product for a good price. You don't find that very often these days. I'm a FV resident, so am happy to sing the praises of a deserving local business. Patrick is the bomb. Guys who reupholstered and delivered my furniture (didn't catch their names; my bad) were also excellent and handled everything with care. Good experience. You could do worse. You could do a LOT worse.

Thank you Jeff!! You were extremely informative knowledgeable in every fabric and advice and suggestions right down to how to do things. I walked in probably like most feeling overwhelmed with what fabrics to use, what colors, what texture, durability, and corporate look to glam designs. Feeling completely stumped I started overthinking and over analyzing questioning myself... I had been floating around like a chicken with its head cut off but didn't want to annoy anyone that appeared too busy..but thanks to Jeff he came right up to me and took over walking me through everything and even setting me up with the perfect samples for the 6 rooms I'm doing, which made me then want many fabrics for each room rather then the one. Thank you again to Jeff, thanks to him the sheer panic subsided and I felt completely excited to start my project. I'm loyal to this place now, thanks to Jeff acknowledging me even if busy.
